I know this video is about 6 months late, but we had a ton of trouble keeping HyperDip in stock after it launched. We didn't want to do anything to increase sales until we had a steady inventory to avoid backorders. We're so glad you guys are enjoying HyperDip so much, we've got plenty now and its ready to ship! Thanks as always for watching 😊

"We didnt want to do anything to increase sales until we had a steady inventory to avoid backorders" what other company on earth has that mentality? I want to plastidip my cat just to support this company (how many coats on a cat would be needed for peelability and durability I wonder?)
Any idea on when other colors will be available?
I'm just starting watching these videos. How long does it last. do you have to be careful drying your car to avoid product?
When he did not tape the individual letters i was like wtf is he doing, then he peeled the stuff off it and it was like magic. If i end up doing this to my car im buying this mans products. Amazing
I know. And when he was painting all around the emblem straight onto the cars paint i was like wtf?!
Welcome to the magical world of Plasti dip and Hyper dip lol
I was the same way. It's like magic
I was saying the EXACT same thing with this being the first time seeing it! Simply AMAZING! I'm definitely using this product! I just hope I'm able to complete it this successfully.

I'm going to go around my neighborhood spraying emblems just so I can have the satisfaction of peeling it off.

Wow look at that, came out perfect, on to the next neighbor car
A little practice never. Make sure to save some for yourself though lol

I'm a nail tech. We put latex around the nail edges to prevent flooding. When we pull the latex off, we call it peel porn. LOL. Same thing here. Awesome product.
Peel porn 😂
That is the cleanest line from a dipped emblem I have ever seen. Damn.
Wow! Makes such a difference by just doing the emblems. 👍
I'm in, been wanting to do a Chrome Delete for a while now and this is the way for my FXT. Love that satin Black look. 💪
I remember years ago I saw my first video about painting badges. And years later here I am again. Big growth blessings!!!
Funny timing on this video, I used HyperDip just this past weekend. Chrome emblems on my charcoal WRX just weren't doing it for me. Much better now!
Really appreciate your continued development and how much attention you give the use and result of products.
I know when y'all were just starting out way back in the day, you used a twig or something
I believe you've also used a flathead screwdriver
Oddly satisfying! The finish and the details it maintains is phenomenon.
After watching this I have total confidence in hyper dipping my hyundai emblem. wondered if the negative space in the center would be a pain but you make it look easy. will be ordering a can of piano black soon.
I did this to the back emblems on my 2022 Sorento & it looks amazing. My car is already all blacked out. Blacking out the emblems took the look to a new level. Going to do the front emblem today! Buy this man’s kit, comes with everything you need & works amazing! The hyper dip has survived the Texas freeze, the summer heat & I run it through the car wash & it still looks amazing! Holding up very well.
Thank you! I was wondering how it would hold up in the touch less car wash
Did it take both cans? Looking to do my Elantra.
@@greg1961 I did it with one can for the front and back of my Toyota Corolla. Including that weird chrome Sensei mustache (that’s what I like to call it) on the front. I’m hoping it peels well like the video. But it’s my first time doing anything like this so it’s not guaranteed.
Edit: worked well. Wasn’t perfect because i didn’t have the predip spray but used 25% rubbing alcohol with 75% water and it worked decently well. Great result none the less
Definitely looks 👍 I am waiting for a break in this FL ⛈ Ready to do my rims, door handles & emblems on the Z.
Man that stuff lays down like paint, looks super smooth!
Clearly you felt a disturbance in the force as my OCD was triggered looking at all that over spray. Thank you for showing how easy it is to remove it.
Just did my emblems, they look perfect. Doing my trim and wheels later this week.
Great video, emblems look super sharp, thank you always for great content. I believe Fonzie has used a tooth pick and small flat head screw driver.
I just learned about this stuff today. I plan on doing the emblems on my 2021 Nissan Sentra. This makes me WAY more confident to do it now. I had no idea it would be as easy as this!
I detail for a living and have had a couple customers request this option, but wasn't sure how to do it. Thanks for sharing this video.
I dipped my emblems about 2.5 years ago and they are still holding up well. Whenever I do have to redo them, it will be with the hyperdip for sure.
It’s been over 3 years now that I’ve had my emblems dipped. I regularly go through automatic car washes that use high pressure water to clean my truck. The dipped emblems still look great. That said, I wouldn’t hold a high pressure wand close to the emblem unless I was trying to remove the plasti dip.
Plasti Dip. But like I said above, when I do it again it will be with this hyper dip.
Did you watch the video? It’s supposed to be even better than their plasti dip
I bought the kit and did my mx5’s badges tonight. Just wanted to say this product is A+. Going to do my wife’s 4Runner next! Thank you!

I’m so glad you did this, I’ve been wanting to do this to my wife’s car and she also drives a white CX-5. Thank you!!
I remember toothpicks being one of those emblem edging tools. Can't seem to remember the other. Great video. Getting ready to re-spray the emblems and wheels on my wife's car. Hyperdip cans are waiting for me in the garage. Super excited to see the difference.

After 8 years, you made an updated video on emblems
I’ve watched about 5 of your videos and this newest one is so clear! May I ask what camera you’re using? I’m trying to dive into CZcams myself. You have the best and most thorough videos! I am going to get into my tires and emblems tomorrow on my new work van!
I’m a noob here and just got a white Tesla and I excited about your products and videos. Thank you! Going to try these techniques those weekend!
Definitely trying this out
Looks nice. Since the HyperDip peels so easily from paint, doesn’t it come off the emblems easily too? Will come off when you wash car for instance?
i did the same thing to my mazda 3 hatchback... came out great i love your product. i want to dip my whole car first but not until i can afford the right kit, i wouldnt want to fuck up a job that big
Nice, I get my new Outback this month, now I’ve got plans! Thanks
Hey man how about a video for the trim using the new HyperDip? Thanks
Hyperdipped my wheels, so much smoother and darker than Plasti Dip. Patiently waiting for more colors!
Just ordered 3 cans looking forward to using it!
Toothpick and a stick from the ground back in the super old days. The garage days bring back memories
I always like to mask off as much paint as possible. I use news papers, trash bags etc. I absolutely hate overspray lol
It it peels off that easily how well does it stay on the emblems and logos? Will it come off when washing the car?
The chemical bond is strong af, that's why it sucks to specific surface
I thought exact same thing
Is it worth buying?

Sweet, I am taking delivery of my cx5 later this month. I found our watching videos I can't do a badge delete as easily as other cars. They use pegs in the emblem and I don't want to leave holes in the hatch.
This will be perfect to get rid of the extra chrome
Cool, this is going on my to do list. You make it look easy 👍👍
Toothpick and flathead screwdriver
I thought the very first one was a stick from the ground......and then the small flathead rubbed on concrete :)
I used a toothpick and it scratched my clear coat. Keep it off the paint :/
Phil must of used a metal tooth pick 😹
Hi, I did the rear of my CX-30 and it came out perfect, thanks to this video. I am having a difficult time with the front end chrome trim piece. If you could give some info or show a video of the front it would be greatly appreciated. Great Vids!!!
im about to do this on my cx-50 too but i dont know what to do about the front other than taping the most of the grill surrounding the emblem and some parts of the hood

I'd love to see those logos with a layer of hyper shift... Good job and great products!
This is the crispiest video quality I’ve ever seen
My old PlastiDip black out and gloss is starting to look a little ragged and I would love to redo them.
However, I would love to do it in something other than black. Has there been any thought on releasing HyperDip in other solid colors?
Particularly I'd like to do something like the Frozen Blue or Wicked Wine on my Red Mazda3 and Yellow or Electric Lime on my black Rav4 and my dad's black Grand Am.
Just ordered the kit. Thanks
I'm doing same model car only a black car instead blacking out the whole car!!!!! Just did my last coat!!!!! I previously did a 2013 ford explorer's whole front grille still good 3 years later DYC is a great product and will be a life time buyer!
So does it hold up in a car wash?
Toothpick helps too if you don't have the tool!
Definitely doing this next weekend
Easy step by step. I'm currently working on it. I didn't realize 20 minutes in between each coat. I hope I didn't ruine it. Wish me luck when taking it off. Lol
Fonzie, you should have done this video like a callback to the very first one. No shoes, and in your driveway with your brother recording XD
Toothpicks! Haha ol’ reliable

Great video Fonzie!
Just watched a video using Plasti-Dip... this result is miles better than the rough finish from that. I'm sold.
How long does it last on your car when done properly? Awesome product!
If it's like other plastidip something like 4-5 years
Looks good! I was surprised the kit is $45 though. For that price I can buy new emblems that are painted black and will stay that way forever.
A black emblem kit for my Rav4 is well over $100
Great video. Thank you!!
Holy spaceballz!! Just used hyper dip for the first time on some door handles and it is butter smooth. When are the car kits gonna hit this level , performance series is pretty good don’t get me wrong but this hyper dip is next level

Hi Fonzie, that is super simple. But how do you do this when you have dipped the rest of the car and now want to blackout the emblems?
Mask off the areas around emblem with blue painters tape, and make sure the coating on the car is thick or the tape will pull it off whenever you take the masking off. It's tedious work, but I did it and came out pretty good.
Thanks for this question helped me out a lot
@@christenn32 How long should we wait between each wet coat? Ik he mentioned waiting 5 min between the first 2 dry coats, but didn’t say about how long between each of the 6 or 7 wet
@@nicholasnunez6751 I waited 10 minutes in between coats. Just take your time and will come out great.
I just finished doing my emblems with this stuff and have mixed feelings about it. Idk if it was due to spraying in a coldish (~50°) shop, but it did NOT work well when doing the "wet" coats. When I sprayed to the level he does in the video, the dip would end up running down the letters and would leave the chrome visible at the top edges (even with multiple coats). Unfortunately, I didn't realize that the problem was not getting any better until I had 3 thick sagging coats on there. The only way I could get it to not sag was to spray semi-wet coats until it started looking grainy. It still came out looking good, but not amazing. I'll wait till the weather warms up and redo everything
Dude you literally just saved me a ton of money I was going to buy black emblems or get the ones I have on the car painted black and reinstalled hell noooo I'm definitely buying your product periodt
Awesome work👍👌
I have a toyota corolla 2014 bro would I be able to do this to the toyota emblem on the steering wheel? :)
"Ima kill the car game in 2021"
Proceeds to plastidip emblems.
is that bad?
Yea, reminded me of ten years ago when I did this with a can of flat black rustoleum.
Very cool - thanks
Just did my Silverado and it was pretty easy, I just followed the Fons direction and it came out awesome.
When do the other colors of hyperdip come out? And will they eventually be available in gallon sizes?
Here is something that might help: what color(s) would you want to add to the hyperdip lineup?
Personally, I'd like to see some of the metallic and pearl aerosol lineup come in hyperdip. I think there are a few of these that would look great on just about any color car. Though my personal favorites would be Adamantium and Raw Titanium. Adamantium to remove some of those "colorful" emblems or fix damaged emblems, Raw Titanium to give it more of a exotic look without going to black.
I’d like to see metallic purple
@@DeeEhm I'd like to see red in the lineup.
Great video. How long will it last and how does it stand up to cleaning - particularly with pressure washers. Is it available in the UK?
I have all my emblems coated with a regular can of black plasti-dip, in 4 layers. As well as the chrome door handles on my 2012 Nissan Pathfinder. The emblems still hold up well, the drivers door handle I had to retouch after a little over a year of normal use.
This hyperdip spray seems to work better as it doesn’t have a texture to it like regular dip spray. You’ll still have to reapply it on the drivers door because overtime the constant running and oils from your hand will wear it out.
I just bought a 2019 Armada but it already has black emblems. A shame they couldn’t black out the rest of the trim as I got the off-road model. Still chrome around the doors and such but I’ll be buying a can or two of this hyperdip to black out the chrome trim pieces
Looks great!
Did exact same thing on my CX5 turbo today and edges on the small "TURBO" letters got messed up a little bit while removing the mask. It indeed looks better and if not closely looking at it, it's also not very noticeable. Might redo that part, but for now I think I'm 80% satisfied. Thanks for the video.
I'm thinking of doing the same! I thought it might be better to put the pre-dip on with a q-tip to get in those cracks better
@@blgdinger3 I got everything except the predip spray somehow completely overlooked it.
I’m wondering how long does this last. Are we talking months? Years? How durable is it with hand washes and power sprays?
Let me know!!!
I’ve never used this product but I’ve used just regular plasti dip spray cans on my emblems and some trim and it’s been going strong for about 2 years. And I wash my car at self car washes with the pressure sprayer and I’ve had no problems. I did about 5 coats of dip
@@neagle1688 oh ok cool where’d you order from
@@jfresh1464 At their website links above. If you don't need the whole kit, you can just order a can.
So about how long do you think this product will last
I know you asked this ages ago, but my normal plastidipped emblems that I dipped about 4 years ago are starting to show some small problems. So I'd say every 3-4 years or so you might need to refresh it. I've re-dipped my rear emblem (I also have a Mazda) once already because it gets abused pretty hard with handwashing and power washing. Dunno how much longer hyperdip lasts before it shows damage or might peel at an edge.
Nice work Fonsi, you always make it look easy hahaha. I just wanna request a video on how to black out door handles like in the Audi, my car has Chrome handles but I aint fan of chrome. I've been trying to do it with regular plastidip but the inner section of the handle is hell of a pain to cover. Also I was wondering if you will be creating son translucid colors like the smoke for tail lights but in other colors, thanks
Wow, absolutely amazing

Does hyperdip comes off when you wash your car?
No it does not but you have to avoid going into a car wash for at least 24 hours
Just finished my car with the gloss. Looks great! What's the easiest way of getting off the excess spray that escaped the tape? Just wipe it off with the included cloth?
Dang, I whish my accord came with that color & finish emblem.
The velvet finish looks so premium
I just forwarded your youtube link to the Gorilla Glue girl. I'm sure she'll find a great use for Hyperdip!

Its straight up voodoo that peeling it up doesnt peel the face of the emblem too.

I'm yet to master it, it always takes the lettering off with it on mine🤬
@@krupt79 Any tips you can share ?
Couldn't be easier. Great product.
The word Corolla is gonna suck to peel. In an hour I’m going to do it. Will update with how it went.
Edit: went amazingly. Almost perfect peels (my fault didn’t use predip used something else) but went great and after some time and effort it looks great! Thank you so much.
Will this HyperDip adhere even through an automatic car wash or handwash? Looks great but not sure how durable it is. Thanks!
Notice your comment has not been answered
I don’t know about the emblems yet, but my metallic dipped wheels are holding up great running through a car wash about twice a week.
Does this mean the hyperdip is very easy to remove later on? Or is it stable enough to stay on there?
Good question
As both a Plasti-dip fan, AND a Mazda salesman, this video made me stupid happy. The only issue I have is I want to do my big chrome front accent piece too and I think I'd have to completely remove it from the car.
Wow great job !
What about durability? Ie..use it on "chrome" door handles?
I put some on my door handles, hoping it holds up.
I’ve used reg dip and it held up for 2 years. I’m sure this works even better
It's more durable than normal dip, a lot smoother as well.
I remember one of the "tools" was a toothpick
I'm still using it.
Or a standard yellow pencil. No need to purchase the "spudger tool", really.
Excellent video
This looks like a great solution for me. I am looking at wrapping my RV main side panels. I have multiple aluminum bulkheads that are now white and have screws that I would love to make black. Should I do this after I wrap? Will HyperDip easily peel off matte wrap?
