I totally agree with you, if it's not comfortable, it will not be used. I like two things comfort and no imprint where ever I am wearing it.
Thank you!
Comfort is overrated, it doesn't have to be comfortable, just tolerable
I think "The Pros and Cons of Concealed Carry," should be "The Pros and Cons of Concealed Pocket Carry." I'm no former CIA agent, just a former aerospace engineer.
Yeah Click Bait titles. 😏
It is better to have and not need: than to need and not have. No matter what you own and how you carry. Train and carry. God bless and keep safe.
Thank you! Stay safe and God bless you too!
Exactly. I carry but I've never drawn on anybody and I'm 53 years old. My #1 tool is avoidance, but I also realize that doesn't work 100%. It's served me well but nothing is ever 100%.
@JasonHansonSpyBriefing
I have Need and cannot Have because the British Want to be Abusive to C.I.A. and Not Shot!
You Shall Understand This I Believe!
The C.I.A. in Britain have Now been Authorized to Neutralize a Genuine Threat by United Kingdom Spooks!
Still No Remedy for general slack behaviour though!

Absolutely. AIWB, with wedge and claw. Never leave home without it. Multiple options for every season/clothing. 🇺🇸
Thank you for the advice. God bless!
At the ATM a couple of days ago, I saw a reflection in the screen of something behind me. Instinct kicked in. I "cleared" my cover garment and had my hand indexed on the grip to draw. Fortunately, it was just a lady who's idea of "personal space" was a little skewed. When I paused, she was just over 6 feet away, coming around my truck on foot. Keep your eyes on a swivel when you're out and about.
Wow so cool. You’re a bad ass
Thank you for sharing! Stay safe and God bless!
Her ninja skills really tested you 😸
@@JasonHansonSpyBriefing What pocket holster are you using for your sig?
Whose, not who's.
So I immediately thought " look how his weapon snags on the pocket as he's trying to draw". However, now I realize it's intentional, by design, specifically so the holster would stay in the pocket when the gun is drawn. Nice! I'm going to have to look into this further.
Thanks for watching!
Pocket carry was what took me to 100% program compliance.
Thank you for sharing Leonardo! Stay safe and God bless!
Thanks for the video.
I agree with you about comfort. We need to function in society. Constant discomfort impedes functioning. As someone who suffers from chronic pain, I'm aware of how much chronic pain reduces my energy. There's no point in doing something that is going to produce a constant energy drain by adding a level of discomfort.
I don't think a Kydex holster would be comfortable in the pocket, but I've never tried one. I've never seen a pocket holster with the hooks that catch on the pocket. I've practiced pressing my holster against my leg so many times to facilitate the draw that the motion is automatic. If I could find a reasonably priced holster with hooks, I'd like to try one. What I like about my current holster is that I can get the gun and holster in and out of my pocket easily without drawing the gun. When I just want to draw the gun, I can do that easily as well.
Thank you for sharing and taking the time to watch! God bless!
Jason I'm not saying all c.i.a are bad people, but I have a very big trust issues with all I learned over the past years with c.i.a and f.b.i.
Who were you learning from Fox News?
Multiple sources.
@@joeshmooo5327 Have you not seen the fbi director evading questions in Congress? along with the atf, homeland security, and doj?
@@joeshmooo5327 I'm not a Trump fan, and I never watch Fox News, but I agree with bigjermanprepared and debluetailfly. The CIA and the FBI have been weaponized by Democrats against their political opponents. If you don't see they are right, you are living in an NPR/NYT bubble.
Why even comment this? You think he’s gonna read this and be suddenly concerned about YOUR issues? Give me a break.
Always figured the one in me pocket GETS me to the one in me truck. The one or two in me truck gets me home. Thanks Jason! m
Thank you for watching too Mike!
I have a more affordable Ruger ec9s. I'm very happy with it, over 500 rounds in 2 different ones and zero jams. Gave one to dad with pocket holster. And a laser trainer cartridge.
Yep....lc9 myself. Poor mans ticket
That's great for you! Thank you for sharing!
We need to be ready go at half a seconds notice!!....we can't be fumbling around....
Be vigilant
I googled and went to the kydex hulsters. I found concealed hulsters but none with the hook you showed. When you make such a reccomendation it's helpful to the listener to include a link to where it can be found.
I found one on the sig Sauer site looks pretty decent two hooks on the bottom that are configurable
Vedder makes a good pocket holster with a hook. I have one for my LCP Max.
Dude when ya go to the webpage, look for a section called pocket holsters, If they ain't got that section, they don't make pocket holsters. Or google kydex pocket holsters.
I use Vedder as well for Ruger LCP max, Glock 26, and j frame. I have sticky holsters for them as well. Both work. The Vedder is more secure.
I have a lightweight Taurus .38 Snub. I plan to "legally" pocket carry it now in Louisiana as concealed carry has been put into Law,effective July 4th. I currently have an Uncle mike and agree about it coming out with the pistol.
That's great for you! Thanks for sharing!
I was using Desantis Nemesis pocket holster for my M&P .38 5 shot. I like the design. I've used them since the early 2000s.
I'm a big guy and only wear Kilts. Usually I'll wear a dirk next to my sporran, but always have a Tactical Pen !
That's great! Thank you for sharing!
Gotta practice not getting the M&M's stuck in the barrel.
Where did you buy that holster? Thanks for the video
I’ve been pocket carrying since my ‘97 retirement from LE. EDC is normally a light weight J Frame or LCP depending on if I’m wearing jeans or dress slacks.
That's great! Thanks for sharing!
I really appreciate you allowing a payment plan for your E&E spy week!
I’ve carried a j frame smith .38 unholstered in my pocket for years. Never had an issue. Sure you may get some lint or dust on your weapon but it’s is very concealable and a very fast draw. I know all the “experts” will say always carry in a holster but this works for me. It being a revolver I don’t have to worry about a ND. 😊
That's great! Thank you for sharing!
You can't go wrong with a simple 2" or 2.25" type Ruger LCR or S&W J frame. I use Desantis Nemesis holsters. Simple, easy to carry. Protects the small revolver.
Galco has leather pocket holsters with less prominent hooks, but they do work if you follow their instruction on how to draw. If not they can come out with the gun. Everyone demonstrates holsters with warm weather attire. With heavy winter coats, you may not be able to access waist holsters or pants pocket holsters. some coats have large pockets, and you can have your hand on your gun while keeping your hands warm.
Pocket holsters are handy if you are home, and want to go outside and not have to loop a belt through your holster everytime.
Thank you for sharing! God bless!
I pocket carry my LCR all the time in the summer.
Awesome! Thanks for sharing!
@@JasonHansonSpyBriefing also, I would like to mention that your disarm technique that you teach does not work on revolvers, and is rather dangerous when it comes to revolvers because of the debris that comes out the side of the cylinder when revolvers are fired. You really need to update that.
Another good video with useful info. Thank You for all the interesting and informative content , and THANK YOU for your service and sacrifice.
Glad you liked it Jason! Thank you for watching too!
One of those weirdos still AIWB a G19 or P07. Only con I see is if you have to use it you have to make sure a certain criteria is met and you are aware of what is around you and where the rounds will go. Reasons I also carry defense spray, as not all situations require a 9mm, and not all situations legally might allow the use of one.
Thank you for sharing! Stay safe and God bless!
Always nice to have an option between a GSW and a stern look
Ive tried pocket carry. Not a fan. Especially when sitting. Been carrying appendix carry for 25 years. Most comfortable and best fit for me.
Appendix is far superior
I agree with the comfortable part, and I feel extremely comfortable with appendix carry. I can get to my gun very quickly. Be safe and blessings to you and your family.
Thank you! God bless you and your family too Toby!
I am carrying a Smith & Wesson J-frame in a pocket holster as I type this.
That's great! Thanks for sharing
I like the Ruger LCRs or the S&W J frames with no security locks.
Great option for when I do not want to saddle up with my larger caliber side carry. I will look into this. You just made me a subscriber.
Most people that carry consistently everyday single day, pocket carry. We all know the guys to say, "Man I carry a full size, Glock/44 mag/Elephant Gun, etc." and if you ask to see it, it's always at home or in the truck/car. Ignore these guys. I did notice Jason that you had a knife on a pocket clip in the same pocket. Personally I recommend that you have nothing in the gun pocket, other than the weapon and the holster. Use the other non-gun pocket(s) for other stuff.
Thank you Jager! Stay safe and God bless!
I carry full size in OWB holster day in day out. Retired LEO. VERY comfy. A simple tshirt as cover garment, but many others will work.
Good info on pocket carry. I would like to point out that southpaws (like me) would have a harder time while seated in a car The space between the car door and the human body is just too tight in most cases. I would prefer to mount a holster to the door. I haven't done it yet, but I saw someone who did it. The gun was hidden as well.
We carry concealed and non-concealed, simultaneously. From a simple .22 to a .410 hand cannon. Shot placement is key-nothing else matters.
Thank you for sharing Jenda! God bless!
I see your points, and accept them as valid--for you. I appreciate that you are stressing the importance of the right holster!
I have fairly large hands, and my experience has been that not many trousers have pockets large enough for me to get my hand in quickly, let alone have my hand AND a decent pocket gun in that pocket. Even so, I keep experimenting.
I like the P365, but I find it too small for my hands in ways that make it hard to manage well.
That said, I have started experimenting with a small revolver (that does seem to work for my hand size and shape), and am looking for an appropriate holster.
Another consideration - is some jurisdictions, being spotted carrying will get a very negative police reaction. Pocket carry allows one to more easily be the gray man and get lost in a crowd of one. The Democratik People's Republik of Massachusetts is one example. Another is New Orleans where the PD claims the police station near Burbon street is a "school" makine a 1000ft a no-carry school zone under LA law. Even the LA attorney general says this is bogus, but that will not prevent an arrest, inconvenience and probably theft of the gun by the police.
Hi Jason, where to buy that holster?Thank you.
Spare a thought for us here in england , where only criminals have guns ,and it's a criminal offence to carry ANY ITEM FOR THE PURPOSE OF SELF DEFENCE.
You are allowed to move. The UK and Canada are doomed. The only safe places in the world where a single woman can walk alone dressed to the 9's and not get accosted, robbed, raped or killed are Monaco, Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Singapore, Switzerland and all of Japan, that's it. If you can't live in those places, move somewhere you, as a normal person can legally carry a gun for self-defense, (the free states in ) the USA, Panama and a few others places.
Which is why our policemen should routinely carry side-arms. Me? I'm confident that I could deal with an unarmed yob, or someone with a knife. But machete-wielders would make me - a veteran - wish I had a gun.
Then carry something that can be used, but has another purpose. Such as a heavy pewter drinking tankard, or a very sharpened pencil ✏️ !

There are many ways around this law ...we all use them ...
But it's the principal of tyrants making laws which destroy our basic , human rights, that's the problem ..

What’s the pocket holster?
Pocket carry 👍💯
In Illinois they tie your CCL to your Divers License so when any vehicle titled to you is pulled over they assume the driver is armed . Something to think about ,especially if the Officer gets nervous
Thank you for sharing!
LE officers in 2024 are always nervous. The modern LE training courses, field training officers drill that into them.

I love security of kydex, but it can make larger fun uncomfortable for IWB. I fiund the cheap 15$ foam type better for this type of firearm, more comfortable. I only really carry micros IWB w/kydex as a result.
Thanks man these tips are awesome.
Glad you like them!
I’m sure it’s assumed, but I’ll say it anyway. 1) make sure you are mentally prepared to take a life before you carry a firearm in any fashion. 2). If you pocket carry, the gun and holster are the ONLY things that go in that pocket.
Thanks for sharing Jason!
Another free state (relatively) Utahn here. I'm a fairly new gun owner, you are the first I've seen to advocate for pocket carry but have seen many warn against it, but you're also the first I've seen talk about a pocket holster, I didn't even know they existed before I saw this video. You did a great service here, I've tried the inside of the belt thing and hated it, but I think I can do the pocket carry thing, I'll have to get used to carrying my keys in the opposite pocket though. 😁
Thank you for watching! Stay safe and God bless!
The videography on this clip reminding people to "see near, see far."
Thank you so much for watching!
It cannot be emphasized enough that training is absolutely critical to concealed carry or carry of any kind. Training on how to handle the weapon safely and scenario training. The time to figure out what to do in an incident is NOT when the incident happens. You need to think through and train in scenarios before an actual event occurs.
I had to attend a course to get my CCW in Nevada's Clark County. We had a module at the firing range and it was terrifying to see. There were people who were REQUALIFYING who didn't know how to load their pistol. One man had to have one of the instructors load this weapon for him!!!
If you don't train, you are a danger to yourself and others.
Thank you for sharing! God bless and stay safe!
The 2020s shooting sports industry, ccw, tactics are full of morons, inept people, people who are the reasons 🚩 laws get passed. I do G security work, since 2000. Go to a local re-qual range in a urban Florida area. 😬
Jason - how about Telling Us the Brand of Kydex Holster this is - and where to Order It !
If the Kydex prints too much, slip it into a Mikes.
Two questions: 1) what pocket holster are you using in this video and 2) would you buy the Sig P365 with or without the thumb safety if you want to pocket carry? Thanks.
What holster is that?
When Rodney King happened and I still had to call on places like EBMUD's Maintenance yard right next to the projects in Oakland, I carried a little Beretta 950 .25 ACP in the watch pocket that's in every men's sport coat. & One day at the Hegenberger Shell station, I had to put it in a brutha's face - he was trying to carjack me - and thumb the hammer back....he said, "You'z serious," and I said, "Take your hand out of your coat VERY slowly," ...and after finally complying, he said, "This time, M- F-." So, even a little gun is better than throwing rocks, IMO.
the wife and I never leave home without it! Ruger LCPMAX 380!
Which holster do you recommend for the p365?
Vedder Pocket Locker.
Alabama holster
I like Desantis brand Nemesis. Easy to use, light wt, protects the weapon. If you tote a 5 shot revolver, you can tote 2 speed strips in a altoids tin.
Tier 1
Years ago, when I lived in a sketchy area, and was walking one the sheer act of putting my hand in my pocket convinced my four assailants to go away. I did have a sidearm in that pocket.
Thank you for sharing. God bless and stay safe always!
Which brand cargo pants? Wrangler seems to have changed the design depth and opening size of their pockets making it difficult to pocket carry.
2:00 & ff --- gotta work out those focus issues
What’s the name of the holster ? I don’t want to add any unwanted holsters to my holster collection.
I'm sorry if I might have missed it, but what is the brand of your pocket holster and where can I pick one up? Thank you!
Is the holster that Jason is using in this video still available for purchase?
My 380 Bodyguard rides in a pocket holster, and while it may not have the power of a 9mm or 40, it's there if and when i need it.
That's great! Thanks for sharing!
Yup. Carry a S&W Bodygaurd
Do you carry with a bullet in the chamber and safety on?
Good video, I just ordered a Kydex pocket holster for my Ruger ec9s
That's great! Thank you for watching!
I don't pocket carry because I need the stuff in my right pocket to be in my right pocket. I carry OC spray in my right pocket because I uses my right hand for OC spray. I use my left hand for my flashlight, so I can't use my left hand for OC spray. I also have a comforting strong side IWB holster!
Thank you for sharing! God bless and stay safe!
I would love to try it, but like you said finding the right holster.

*#Former** CIA🇺🇲🤝Mr. Jason Hanson🤝👍🙏*
Where can I buy that for Ruger LCP MAX ?
pocket carry is all I do. to many people act strange if they even think you have a weapon. and the holster I use if anybody does notice it the think its a large cell phone.
If it’s a beautiful girl, she might think you just happy to see her 😂😂😂😂😂
People are flawed ! Historically some people have been very nasty! Better to be prepared for anything that may take your life
What is the holster in this video?

how much is penetration capability and impact force?
I’ve got a kydex pocket holster and love it because it is comfortable which means I am more likely to carry it. But some times I would like to carry in a shoulder holster position , but haven’t found one where the holster is kydex.

Don't ever carry in a shoulder holster, they are okay for detectives in buddy cop movies and absolutely nothing else

I bought some cargo pants in the past but the front pockets were not big enough for a concealed carry. what cargo pants brand do you wear.
Try the side pockets
Duluth makes some cargo pants with huge front pockets.
Just curious, how many of you carry with a round in the chamber? I carry a Canik MC9 but I never have a round ready to go (hard time trusting it won't accidentally misfire due to unforseen circumstances.)
My EDC is a S&W M&P and its always chambered when i carry.
When second's count you'll wish you did.
Hope you never have to use it, you're going to spend the rest of your life trying to get your gun loaded
YES conceal carry and protect yourself
Thanks Scott!
It appeared that right when you drew your gun the video was edited...as if you had to do a second (or 3rd) take. I would like to see unedited video of the draw...preferably a few in a row to see the success rate.

Why don't you sell, raffle or do a drawing or give away of your extra holsters. Just a thought ❤
Where do you get that nice pocket holster?
That looks like an "A holster co." holster. I carry a p380 or a p365 in a Alabama pocket holster
I have multiple holster so I don’t have dress to the gun. In my dress slacks I pocket carry my .380 because my 9mm is too large to access. For my 9mm the Zero Bulk (ZB) from Versacarry is my go to. Hardly know it’s there.

@@JasonHansonSpyBriefing I highly recommend and they’re only $25. The 9mm fits both my GX4 and GC3. Double the utility.
What gun are you using in this video?
Sig P365?
Jason, I have a question; “In your professional opinion, could I use a Glock 43x as pocket carry like you do for your Sig 365?”
I bought both and eventually decided on the Sig because of the capacity, but the 43 was just as comfortable in the pocket.
You shouldn't pocket carry, use a proper holster so your gun is in the same place every time
@@GinEric84 thanks for your concern, but it is and does.
@@BRLaueI don't know of a single proper gunman who carries around a gun in their pocket.

No to pocket carry, yes to carry every day, and I carry owb or iwb, everday.
All states are free states
No cons. Use a proper holster
I have CCW breakaway pants no holster necessary. I have carried many different ways, by far there is nothing more comfortable when you pocket carry. Gun draws quicker and efficient. No imprint. I am not affiliated with this company in anyway.

Been carrying for 7+ years now.

I wonder if you still support that style of carry if you are an intentionally well dressed man, meaning a suit and jacket not cargo pants on a 1000 acre ranch in the middle of nowhere ( no insult intended) ???
