I'm happy to tell you that after having a plastic mattress for three months, today I visited my local family-owned mattress dealer. I bought, based on Mr. Lee Cater's video, 100% pure latex mattress. I have to revise my comments from yesterday, I now love this mattress, it seems that it just took a little getting used to it for my lower back to adjust to it. I woke up today for the first time I think ever in my life at 9:19am, after going to bed at around 10pm the night before. My goodness I feel alive!!! If some folks have had bad experiences with this dunlop latex mattress I don't know how nor do I know their particular circumstances but in my case, I'm the biggest believer in this mattress ever, no one will convince me differently. I only wish I could have found it 30years ago and for all my kids as well. I hope this review helps another soul that has wasted so much money on sorry mattresses and they get to enjoy a great nights sleep like I have been.

I’m so glad that i have found and watched this video (skipped through most of the toxic chemical portion because I work in the chemical industry and know the dangers but I did get the last part), we’re on our third mattress in three years! Hate it! Last one was purchased last month, I’m tired of this, and supper frustrated right now. Watching your video reminded me of a bed I had as a kid in the 70’s that was amazing, lasted until I joined the Marine Corps in 84, I now believe it was a latex mattress, it was the best. Thank you for this thorough background info on how mattresses are yet another victim of corporate profits over people. i have done much research on mattresses over the last 2 years and am appalled at what I uncovered. I've been in mattress business for 39 years. I agree with all you talked about. My wife and I sleep on a king size that I made 17 years ago when I owned and operated
Sleep World in Austin, Tx. It has 368 6 turn offset coil system 12 3/4 gauge . It's double sided, but the pillow top has 3'' of latex and wool tufted to jacquard knit fabric.
There are no body impressions what so ever. Flip it maybe once a year because it's very heavy. I kept wanting to try something new, but it just won't wear out!

Shortly after watching this video I ordered one of these mattresses from Lee and I really like it (wish I loved), I should have stuck to the what I wanted to order which was the firmest of all because of my bad lower back, I think it would have given me better support but I use a pillow between my knees to alleviate the soreness in the morning. I love how fast I fall asleep and don't wake up until the alarm in my head goes off. No sweating, it's not hot at all, and it will last for a long time, I'll only buy a dunlop latex mattress bed from now on.

I was just shopping for a mattress and came upon this video...hope it goes viral...great job...I have never watch a video this long, but could not stop.., I am one of those people very sensitive to chemicals, off gasses etc...and now need to find a solution...we bought our mattress 28 years ago, so old school manufacturing...flipping every so often, we have loved the bed, but just in the last year it seems to have lost its comfort and I guess getting older doesn't help, and the Hotel beds are so comfy...what can we do...very slight dip in King bed, My wife's side not as bad. both 63 years old...other than buying a new bed...do you think a Rubber Dunlop latex topper can be added to the top to make it more comfy? if yes, can you suggest one?
I first stumbled upon this vid not realizing it was over an hour long. Once I realized it was that long, I figured I'd just watch the first 5 mins or so and decide how much longer to watch. I couldn't stop. It is well worth the time. Very informative. I was already considering returning my recent "bed in a box" purchase (Layla mattress) due to the firmness level on both sides of the dual sided mattress not being quite what I need, now I'm definitely returning it for that reason AND reasons mentioned in the video. It makes me wonder how deep this actually goes involving these companies knowingly putting toxins in your beds. There are people and industries that benefit substantially from people's deteriorating health.
You are so right when you said there are people and industries that make a lot of money on people's deteriorating health. Since I did this video, I've learned even more about the chemicals and how they can affect people's health. One story in particular was of a woman in Texas who bought a Tempur Pedic mattress for her 7 year old daughter. Within about a month she started into puberty. Her doctor told her it has to be something in her environment that was causing it. She did some research and found out that a particular fire retardant chemical mimicked estrogen. She took her daughter off the mattress and, thankfully, her puberty reversed itself. You make a great video sir. You are quite likable. It was easy to watch both of your hour plus videos multiple times. I believe today's mattresses are causing most of the allergy symptoms everyone is blaming on pollen. I have been trying to figure out why all of a sudden I am having severe allergic reactions to grass. Pollen never bothered me before. i did the math and the watery, itchy eyes, sneezing and head full of mucous started right after I bought a post FR regulation mattress. I moved to UK recently and was going to buy a new mattress this May 2019. After seeing this video, I HAVE LEARNED ALOT! Did my research and i will be buying Milam mattress (Made in UK) for a king size bed. I am extremely happy because I saw this and I am a person who loves the environment. This Milam mattress is made out of 100% natural and organic materials (i.e. 100% natural latex, 100% natural coir -natural and biodegradable hairs from coconut husks,100% organic cotton cover quilted using organic merino wool etc. VERY EXPENSIVE but BEST FOR THE ENVIRONMENT.

I rather have a mattress that is not protected from flamability, rather than being exposed to chemicals in mattresses. It's a poor trade off to have protection against flamability while being exposed to carcinogens & other toxins. The FDA doesn't know what they are doing.
But your sheets and blankets are not required to be fire resistant.
Thank you so much for this video. I live in the UK and I was about to buy what I believed, (after extensive research) was the best mattress; a very expensive pocket sprung. I have suffered insomnia for most of my adult life ( 30 years approx). The reason I missed out buying the sprung this Monday, was because I could not make up my mind due to lack of sleep for the past one week.

I am very sensitive to many smells. I worked in a school office and when they said they were going to re-do the carpeting, my mind panicked. I suggested tile flooring because of the chemicals in carpets. I guess they didn't hear me correctly and went with tile carpet which was not as bad as regular carpet. They did the hallways with regular carpet. Several years (at least 3 or 4) I was still affected when I walked in the hallways. (I felt so bad for any kids who had sensitives to those chemicals). Who do we contact to try to reverse the use of these chemicals? (It's not over-reacting for sure Thomas Dubberly -glad your eyes were opened by this informative video). Many chemicals make me get a feeling across my chest like indigestion, etc. I always hated foam but it seemed like the only option. I will consider a Dunlop latex mattress for my next purchase and will spread the word. Thanks Lee.

I had back pain all these years leaving in America changing mattresses and taking pain medicines, pain always severe waking up everyday. I went to Ghana Africa, slept on latex mattress for one month , surprisingly, had no pain whatsoever, l return to America slept on my expensive mattress, pain started the following morning. I shared this experience with my Dr but he couldn’t figure out why. This Video confirms that latex mattress relieved my pressures with pain free. Doris okyere ...I don’t understand why you kept sleeping on non latex mattresses in the U.S. after returning from Ghana. There are many mattresses made in the U.S. from latex. Africa isn’t the only country that is advanced enough to sell latex mattresses. I think your back problems are coming from more than mattresses as you still have long-lasting back problems.

Great video, I have a degree in rubber engineering and I agree with everything this video is claims. No rubber has the same properties of Natural Rubber. Mother Nature makes the best rubber for elastic rebound. It is used as shock absorbing mounts for heavy equipment like Caterpillar (whom I work for). I had a pure latex mattress that I slept on for 20 years, it never changed. Mine did however get pretty hot, which really bugs me. I am in the market for a new mattress. Thanks for reminding me of the superiority of natural rubber latex.

This was my first time as an adult buying a mattress and holy shit I would’ve never have guessed how shady the industry is. It’s sad to see how practically everything now a days is about maximizing profit and not giving a damn about the consumer. Take your mattress back to where you bought it. It will probably make you sick so go ahead and claim it is and they will take it back. Your health is too valuable to give it to chance.
Thank you for all this information. Unfortunately I did not see your video until after my last mattress purchase. I done a lot of research because I am a heavy sleeper. I have not purchased a mattress for about 10 years. So, it was important to me to find something that would be comfortable for both myself and my husband. Because of all the reviews I seen, I felt the the best bed for me would be the Dream Cloud mattress. The company is fairly new but I went with them because they offered the best warranty in comparison to some of the other big name companies. This was important to me because of the fact that I am overweight I wanted to be able to fully experience the mattress over a longer period of time. My husband is a regular sized guy (170lbs). Again it was important to me to find something that was comfortable for both of us. It’s now been 2 months that I have slept on the bed. The first month, the bed lived up to it’s name. It was a dream. Now I am in the 2nd month of owning the bed and it is already showing signs of dipping and I feel like I am sinking in bed. Needless to say, I will be returning the bed. Thanks again for the information you have shared.

Haven’t finished watching, so I might make second comment. But regarding fire retardants and beds, the best advice of preventing accidental death in the bedroom will be two things
1: Do not smoke in the bed, never ever! Never ever! Actually it will be even better to stop smoking entirely.
2: Always keep a smoke alarm in rooms where people sleep, and make certain once awhile that it is still functioning.
If one is still feeling uneasy about the bed going up in flames (it’s beyond me how it would happen but still) then a thin 100% wool protective topper will end all discussion as wool cannot burn with the oxygen content in our atmosphere.

I just bought a very expensice mattress from "Matress XXX" and thought I had done some useful research, but all I had done was fell into the industry trap..., and am now the proud owner of a bed I hate sleeping on for a number of reasons. I called and asked about swapping it with something more comfortable since I am so unhappy with it but, (as I knew when I bought it) I bought a floor model and there is nothing that Mattress XXXX will do to help me. I have bought a number of beds from them and all in all spent over $10,000 in 7 years there. I wish I had seen this sooner... Just the same, Thank you Much for putting this material out. I hope others see this first and don't fall victim to the same mistakes soooo many others of us have made.
So after watching your videos I've been doing a bit of research on mattresses. I've been waking up feeling tired and achy for a couple of years now.. and now I think it has more to do with the toxicity more than comfort! You've opened my eyes! I have been sleeping on an IKEA brand for a few years now! Are there any brands that you recommend besides your brand? So far the best I have found during my search are soaring heart and naturepedic. For some reason I want a purple mattress so bad but my gut instinct is telling me not to buy.

Enjoyed your video! Very informative! We have gone thru several beds and had to return them. They just don't make beds like they used to. Just about every bed has some type of memory foam or foams. We've gone from expensive memory foam hybrids to inner springs with foams and then a Purple 4 bed which was comfortable as far as pressure point relief, but it was very hot to sleep on. Plastic is plastic and I'm thinking that rubber is also rubber and not that breathable. I can't wear plastic or rubber shoes without sweating (have to wear leather), so I wonder if your bed would be cool enough to sleep on? I was considering a total cotton/wool inner spring but tend to think that would become as hard as a rock to sleep on.
Multiple people have reported latex foam to be cool. It is an opened celled foam so it can breathe. It also has a pencil size hole every square inch of the surface. Just today a woman reported that she no longer has to put her feet outside the covers. Latex foam is not hot.

I bought that Tempurpedic Cloud queen mattress. For a skinny guy, i am pissed that mattress has softened so bad that its killing my back 5 years out. Its been bad for the last 2 years. I had to buy a topper 2 years ago.
