I’m from LA and been a huge Sean Price fan since 12. But I discovered him when I heard him on wu tang meets the Indy culture/think differently album. I first heard many of my favorite MCs on that masterpiece. Including the GOAT Roc Marci
facts! GTA3 was so ahead of its time, I remember my expectations for the game being blown away as it was light years better than GTA2. It went from being a little known game with a cult following on PS1 (GTA, GTA London, GTA2) to probably the biggest console game of 2000s

GTA III Introduced me into Agallah. From there i found the Soundbombing tapes and the rest is history. Similar story with Royce Da 5'9"s song off that record. that led me to discover Eastern Conference All Stars, which he had a few records on. and dudes like Cage, High & Mighty, Copyright etc. THPS 2, Thrasaher Skate & Destroy and GTA III were monumental in shaping my musical tastes.
This game was life changing and this was the most fire song on it… and the reggae station 😂
Agallah also has 2 songs in "Midnight Club 2"
This was definitely one of those memorable tracks off the game that put me on to Sean P back in 2001. peace to aggalah 8off and R.I.P Ruck, 2 of Brooklyn's very own.

GTA3 was how i discovered plenty of music and I particularly loved this song and We’re Live by Royce.
HOWEVER it’s a stretch to say it’s the first time players could discover music from a game. Games like FIFA and Gran Turismo had licensed music.
I mean, how many people got “Superman” by Goldfinger stuck in their heads from Tony Hawk pro skater 1 warehouse level (particularly the demo disc from Pizza Hut!)
