As a lover and user of Medford and full sized DemkosPlease please keep the Narrows and give a one months updated! I think is a compelling high end minimalist knife that everyone is writing off due to the price.

Yes it’s being written off for the price….as it should be. It’s not bad BUT the price makes it bad when there are so many other options.
The bugout is overpriced at $138 let alone $200. Easy pass.

I was going to get a bug out like a yeah ago or whatever but I got something else and omg I’m so glad I did. A customer showed me his like a week ago and I was so massively disappointed, it just felt soooooo cheap, it feels like a knife you would get in one of those Walmart knife packs that you can get during Christmas time and it’s such a small piece of metal there’s no way they should be so expensive.

The Narrows is cool I suppose. There's a place for it in the market, just not for me at that price.

What your miffed at with Benchmade, value for money, I’ve personally been feelin for years now. Not a fan personally, I feel that they’re just becoming a money grade company versus a fan service company. Could go deeper, but I don’t get paid to make for them, so nope.
Haha I get it. We will go a bit deeper on EDC Hour in the future. Not just in Benchmade but pricing in general.
We’ll never have an answer as pricing is very subjective at some level but good to discuss.
I really like BM but they have gone crazy with prices vs the materials. Seems they go up every year
I put after market carbon fiber scales on the original bugout. So I would say a bugout variant with carbon fiber scales is my favorite version. My bugout is my favorite edc knife. Given the aftermarket businesses, I would have loved to seen a 4 inch version of the bugout.

So expensive.. in the end. It's just a knife. I looks great. But. I have a Kershaw dividend with m399. Made in the USA for $100.. will Benchmade cut $480 better ?? I totally support American companies.. but..

Just bought my first bugout a month ago. Ranger green… first disappointment was that the coating changed from nitride to cheap ceracote. The action was terrible and now where it played in it has a little bladeplay. Can’t tune it to have good action and no play.
Feel is nice and weight is awesome. I wanna like it but it’s not the kinda knife and I wonder why every review is so over the top. Don’t think it will replace my para 3 or 940 over time.
Pretty sure I didn’t say it’s the greatest knife out there. It’s personally a knife I don’t like.

well it’s your opinion that no one has to take seriously. there are a lot more people that think highly of the bugout.
I don’t discount that. I’m not saying my opinion is the ONLY opinion….

I'd say to use the narrows for a month but that price just ruins the whole experience.

I get it and they look okay to me. I’ve never been a Bugout fan though.
Hell, they look amazing, but seeing this video i cant come over the fact that the handle is so hollow and it seems just "plasticy" which is insane for that price. Even the Spyderco PM3 LW has more into it and is way cheaper.
