I think, At the time of creating the game, Capcom didn’t know how much love and admiration Alcina will receive as a character in the future. Otherwise, they would have made her the main antagonist, lol. It was quite disappointing to see her die so early in the game

With how popular Alcina became and Capcom focusing a lot on her in response to it I seriously thought she was the secondary main villain. It isn't Capcom's fault since they didn't know she'd become so loved, so maybe they'll come up with a way to bring her back.

Bruh, Ethan’s entire interaction with Lady Dimitrescu was pure plot armor to the max. There were too many opportunities where she could’ve easily ended him by simply grabbing his neck and decapitating his head or just grind his body around the castle area while in dragon form.
Yep, really shitty writting. I also don´t like how she and her daughters are cliché, typical monsters thirsty for blood and violence that need to be put down. More and more of the same.
She had to let Mother Miranda know THEN after the verdict she would kill Ethan. The problem is that they know they can kill Ethan at anytime. If you had a well done steak in front of you that you haven't eaten in...say...years? You'd probably savor it too. Nobody knew Ethan had the mold (which is why he tasted stale) from their perspective he's just a lucky human but a human nonetheless.
No matter how much they hurt Ethan he seems A.O.K
It's not the best writing but it makes sense. We're the main character so ofc we know we'd win. If Ethan was just some random mold victim I doubt any of us would criticize mother Miranda and her family for "marinating" Ethan.

So Ethan gets basically crucified, stabbed more times than I can count, has had his hand cut off twice now, he lost a leg in the last game, has falling down how many holes, he got stabbed in his torso by like 5 of the girls finger knifes, he got picked up by a fucking dragon and slammed full speed into a concrete wall, and he still gives a one liner to the fucking dragon before and after he started to fight it.

Now this is final boss level design right here, Miranda was nothing compare to Alcina. To killed her first and then deny us acces to the castle was a mistake, nevertheless it still is one of the best games i have played in a wile. Im on my second run right now on hardcore difficulty to try to unlock and upgrade all the guns, still having a tone of fun:)
That scene with all 4 houses was top tier, wish we got to see more interaction between the main villains.

The whole Dimitrescu arc was kind of underwhelming. Especially how they made the Maiden demo and other stuff seemingly revolving around Dimitrescu and her daughters, only for them to play a small part in the story. Moreover, now that the game's out, Alcina Dimitrescu doesn't seem to be the villain the trailers made her to be. She just slowly turning into a maniac throughout the game. I wish we could've explore more about her backgrounds, her daughter origins, the history of the castle during her reign, and the like.
