I got both of them, "blue Red cherry Shrimps" (neocaridina davidi, blue dream) as well as amanos. I started with 5 amanos and 20 davidi, now I am at 5 amano and 40 davidi.
They both get well together.

yes they do actually. They're pretty hardy but for me the only reason why they die out was because they jump out of my tanks

I don't use UV lamps, I just make sure my ammonia levels are 0 by proper and consistent maintenance. If you are having green water now, keep up with regular water change and a UV lamp is very helpful.

Your videos are fun. I like your personality. Do cherry shrimp handle a planted seasoned tank fine even with no heater because I’m not interested in breeding, but I won’t complain if I get a cute little babies? I live in Melbourne Australia so in winter it gets down to The very low teens in Celsius degrees at night in winter.
I actually have em in a non heated tank, in a non heated room though the air is a bit humid. Here in the UK its currently -2C and they still manage to breed. They can be a bit forgiving with water parameters. But just so you know Im only talking about the Neocaridinas. I havent tried caridinas before but I've read they can be a bit picky with the parameters.

My amano shrimps are still hiding i got them because of some algae but it’s been 4 days they are still hidden
yeah, they have tendency to hide sometimes. For me, initially i saw some increased activities during the night and then slowly they got comfy with the layout and environment that they started being more outgoing even at daytime.
are there any large fish tankmates like angelfish or barbs?

Yeah, I did try to lessen the distractions in my succeeding videos. I just want to be a bit different and discuss a very niche topic in a less monotonous way like the 10s and 1000s out there. 😀
