Exactly. People think CO2 is some miricle gas, but in fact many aquarists don't really need it. More CO2 and light=faster nutrient usage and plants start dying off.
YUP, its not exactly for everyone especially if you don't know what you are doing. If you're a beginner it would be nice to make mistakes initially and then learn from it BUT from what I can see some beginners make mistakes and just give up and blame the hobby.
Is that product shrimp safe?
Try and use a body scrub glove for cleaning hard to reach places. Much cheaper and does a great job. Also comes in pink

I don't think I'll ever be as patient when it comes to removing algae(specially hair algae). I'll reset the whole thing(the advantages of nano tanks)Hahaha. I did learn not to clean the whole tank at once thanks to your video, I'll do that next time.
yeah, I usually just give up on the scape for algae problems that severe. BUT like I said, I did it for the sake of CZcams. HAHAHA
I have the same issue. I used aquasoil and in the first weeks plants grow very fast and healty and then they stunted and alge appear imediatly. I used recommanded dosage on the fertiliser but sure wasn't enough.
if its newly planted, and algae formation is either brown or soft algae, it could be diatoms which is completely normal. If its in diatoms phase all you have to do is wait and it will all go on its own. But if heavy algae build up happens after 3 months or so then most probably its because of lack of maintenance like mine.
