You are hilarious. I'm learning. Found I know more than most of the pet store associates. Lost a pleco within hours of purchase. I wanted a catfish. Wanted larger tetras. The girl told me I could have 1 to 3 neon tetras, very small btw 🙄 I said I'll take 5. 1 is a loner. Bless its heart. I have a 10 gallon tank with originally my smaller male crimson fire and 2 nitrate snails. Bottom vegetarian is dead same day of purchase. 5 year old daughter is crying... help. I would like shrimp and 1 more tetra. The beta is now attacking my 2 snails that seem to be cleaning where the piece recently died.

Mine doesn't even bother with cherry shrip. He liked chasing the pearl ones but he's done with it. The tank is 35x35x35
nice! My father's betta fish just wanted to kill shrimps didn't really ate them. Happy fish keeping!
mine is a gentle soul doesn't bother any one(ADA 30c heavy planted) but in my expierence some can not even be put with a snail !!!!! hard to know !!!some shops house with other fish so you can observe them ! other fish shops house them alone but you can watch and see if they flare a lot to there neighbours if they don't these bettas are more likely to be ok ! I DONT AGREE WITH LIVE FOOD THOUGH!!!!! as this gives him the idea that food moves and riggles !!!! red blood worm look the same as baby cherry shrimp foe example !!! good quality dry food only in my expierence!

Hmmm, I don't know, live foods always worked out ok for me. When I transitioned into dry foods everything turned out ok. I mean he did give some of my cherry shrimps a good stare but never really bit or chased them. What do you use to feed them? I personally use Hikari and Fluval Bug bites
