There are some brilliant storage options in this! Thanks! I have one for you...I got my hands on left over ends of 6x6 posts and carved out a slot for my phone to rest in the upright to watch or record! Down the back is 2 magnetic strips for screwdriver bits, down 2 sides and in behind I drilled holes for favourite pens/drill bits and the front that had a really bad crack I chiselled it out and added a tray to the bottom with a bar across the middle to hold up rulers, etc...trying to fit a spinner on the bottom for easy turning!

Seriously, got myself a shed for my 50th last year. Whenever I'm looking for simple and effective storage on videos, out come the huge gadgets - in massive workshops! Love the use in between battens as I always thought such a waste of space - and like the wood you used for the drill bits - definitely more my kinda vibe. I'm just on a break from sorting the yard. Yours video this morning jump started me ❤

Two thoughts - 1) you can use osb for shelves and keep them from bowing by always having a lip on it, whether needed for the stored item or not. 2) for storage of small quantities of screws or small parts, find a neighbor that regularly gets prescription medications - the plastic bottles last forever and are clear enough to see what's stored inside.

This week I will start keeping some containers..got lots of
them...at arms reach..less searching for bits etc. When it
rains from now on; I can just put the tubs or boxes in.the shed and
all the tools and parts/ nails/etc. will be easy to find. Keep up the good work.

Looking nice. Tip for drilling and cutting scraps like worktops, laminate flooring or anything with a hard wearing finish. Use stuff you dont mind going blunt. The finish has alumium oxide powder in it, same as in most sand papers and second hardest to diamond. It will destroy even carbide tipped tools.

I live in a warm area of Australia, with high humidity & have silicones & glues in cartridges. I sometimes go long periods between using some of these & found I was wasting a lot so, I now store the cartridges in my grog fridge where they last much longer.
Another suggestion I have is that when nozzles become blocked, I use the air gun on my compressor to blow the solid material out of the nozzles thus making then useable again.
When aerosol containers run out of air but still have useable contents, I remove the nozzle & use my air compressor to inject air into the cans. This may need to be repeated but stops a lot of wastage.
Just don't try to completely replace the air, more can be added if needed but, you don't want to risk damage to your hands by overfilling the cans with compressed air.

    Awesome ideas.
A lot of people will benefit from this video and get them busy, sorting out their sheds, garages and workshops.
    Well done!

I hope so too! :) And hopefully they won't procrastinate as much as I did in between some clips(!)

Glad you enjoyed :) Loved the ease of their boxes without having to make hundreds of boxes out of wood.

Many great ideas and inspiration Vicky, I also like to use different length of screws to hanging my tools on my tool wall. I made a smaller tool wall out of a bigger piece of 22mm plywood to hanging all my wrench 🔧, I could really make much compact and more efficient than buying those normal “pegboards”. Keep up the good work and I Subscribe :-)
