I've just subscribed because Im also a carpenter's daughter. As such, I love my DIY but I still have a lot to learn, so thank you for your great videos!!
saw some of your videos from like 5 years ago that were helpful , then i thought i would check your latest video out of curiosity it's like you haven't aged lol lucky you.
Good old Dad ! I particularly like the plywood cable reel off-cuts, I did something similar with some salvaged plywood cut-outs from a local firm that makes Speaker systems so they're convex rather than concave but still work !
Ohhhh that Plywood offcut is a genius useful idea 🤩 I hope the house move happens soon for you guys 🤞🤞🤞🤞
Us too! LOVE these plywood shelves... and even more so that they're cheap! 😄
Your dad is a good man.
Very ❤️
Excellent ideas! I just did shelves but I was lazy and bought industrial metal shelves, about 60 cm deep. One for tools & such, the other for my cooking devices. I'm also the cook. Yes, it cost a little more but I was in a hurry. Sorry for the late comment, the Bahamas were calling me and I felt compelled to go there. I also love what you said at 9:45 Usually only said by dads after securing a load.
Bless ya
Thanks for watching :)
My experience was if you load shelves like that with a lot of heavy stuff it can cause the shed to start leaning, bigger shed like that not so much a problem but worth considering for others. My shed was 8x6.
I've seen so many London brackets fitted the wrong way around. Nice you actually mentioned it.
Thanks! :)
Nice blog Vikki enjoyed watching popsi🇬🇧
Glad you enjoyed it ☺️
That's a lot of storage, thanks for sharing your ideas.
Yet it never seems enough lol

Great shelfs!!
I had to check, I thought I had missed some videos :O
Did the big shed throw you? 😆
@@TheCarpentersDaughterUK yup, then you cleared that up as I was typing :)
This is an excellent shelving system. I have used same. 👍
I love all of these :) Thanks for watching ☺️
Wow what a shed love it, love the easy shelves too thanks Vikkie,
That shed would of cost a small fortune to build 😊
Thanks :) I'm not sure how much it cost, but my mum said it wouldn't have been much... whatever that means 😆
@@TheCarpentersDaughterUK lol I was quoted 2-3 years ago £3,000 for a 15 x 9 ft shed as a direct replacement for mine but a bit higher , as mine is too low lol, love your work I envy you 😂😂😂😂
Your dad is a gem for letting you do this to help you save a lot of money in the long run
Also with your new home will it be a builder up place or will it be something that's already all done
Because you done amazing work years ago with your old place not only inside but outside too and I think you could buy a house cheap do it up over a few months to a year or so and sell it on
Basically homes under the hammer but with a weekly video instead of an episode lol
It's saving us a lot of money which is a relief!
And thanks so much! I don't think I could ever buy a house already done up 😄 The day I do is the day I'm no longer fit and able. Hopefully I'll be able to share more on it soon!
@@TheCarpentersDaughterUK sounds good what area are you looking for if you don't mind me asking if you don't want to comment on that I understand
It's something I would love to do when I'm settled and in a stable job just buy a property for cheap and do it all up using all the skills I've learned from college and now work apart from gas, electric and plumbing those are the areas I won't touch lol
I love tilling and I plan on redoing my kitchen at some point but I need to wait for another job to be done first
Hopefully you find something soon and can take us all on your journey of doing it up with the skills and techniques you have learned over the years
Im also rewatching all of your old videos of doing up your bungalow I'm on the driveway video atm
Take care and wish you all the best with house hunting 👍
What’s the drill you’re using where you can twist between drill and screwdriver?! I need… some of those! 🙌🏼❤️
It doesn't seem to be available on Amazon anymore, but this is it: amzn.to/3X099Ju
👍👍👍 Thanks Vikkie
Glad you enjoyed :)
I get hello fresh and am very pleased. 👍
They're so delicious, aren't they? :)
Hi vikkie just a question have you ever made drawers and drawer slides I tried it before but was a bit of a disaster am not sure if you have done a previous video on this but really could use your help
Should the vertical (framing) shed lumber be doubled for increased stability?
I'm not an expert but I've never seen any doubled up, apart from near doors for hinges.
Clean work but one question. Why didn't you insulate the shed before you started work on the shelves ?
It's not my shed, it's my Dad's.
Nice
Thanks :)

Thanks for watching :)
Never noticed your plush red seats before are they new ? This moving lark is taking ages init 🙂😉
No, they're probably as old as the boat :) And this is definitely the longest house move we've ever experienced(!)
Please please can I ask you a massive favour
I don't know what my problem is with my mitre saw
It is driving me crazy
I can't cut anything straight or a decent mitre cut
It's an evolution mitre saw which I have replaced for the second time
I have tried everything and it's slowly killing my soul trying to do simple things like cut fence posts down, as it's always warped or bent
I try to callibrate the machine every so often, have tried to use different blades, but I can never get a decent cut
My mitre cuts are off 2-3 mm sometimes
I did a test cut on some scrap 2 by 3
The wood was square, held up so not to fall while cutting
Please ask your dad what the secret to a decent cut is
A girl needs a good daddy. You learned a lot from him. I love that about you two. Good job on the shelves, I think the esthetics of the wooden brackets was lovely.
I hope everyone's Dads are just as useful :) LOVE the plywood ones :D
Bit ridiculous you haven’t moved house yet
Tell me about it! More info to come soon!
