Have you seen the Video. That is a mind opening with the Lyrics. This was a soft warning back in 1966 by Simon and Garfield. Disturbed is a Heavy Metal Band but David is Classically Trained. This is a song that Warning of the Technology is Affecting Mankind. A 6 month old is quieted with a phone or a Tablet. Look around and see Everyone on some sort of Technology. Sad that we came to this. That is Why David is so full of Urgency.

The song came out in 1969 by Simon and Garfunkel. The song is about technology how it would be taking over the world. "People talking without speaking", all people do now is text. There no conversations. "People hearing without listening", People are so wrapped up with their phones, computers, gaming etc., the they hear what is being said but not listening to what's being said. Goes in one ear and out the other. " And the people bowed and prayed to the neon God they made", people are in a similar praying position looking at their phones, computers, game controllers etc. The song was written as a warning that if people weren't careful technology would take over their lives. Which it has.
Very good song and love this version.
