- I play two games of solitaire with a dark deck of cards that's easy on the eyes to help you relax and possibly sleep.
If you are new to "ASMR" and/or my channel, welcome aboard and thanks for dropping by! The majority of videos I create, often in an unorthodox manner, are meant to help you relax, sleep, hopefully experience ASMR, and any other use that might help you find some peace of mind, concentrate, study, decompress, etc.
What is ASMR?
ASMR stands for Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response. It's just a non-scientific, made-up term that a layperson came up with to describe the feeling characterized as a pleasant tingling sensation felt in various parts of the body (head, scalp, back, legs, etc.) in response to various visual, auditory, tactile, olfactory, and/or cognitive stimuli, such as crinkling bags, hand movements, whispering, personal attention or watching someone perform a task. It's like goosebumps, but much more pleasant and without the uncomfortable chills.
ASMR videos are meant to intentionally induce this sensation in the viewer, often referred to as "tingles". However, the videos also serve to provide a relaxing, calming, comforting and soothing experience for people beyond ASMR purposes. Many people who do not experience ASMR still enjoy these videos.
I experienced ASMR all throughout my life but no longer do as of a couple years ago. However, I still enjoy creating these videos for anyone else that still experiences it or is just looking to relax, sleep, study, etc.

I actually really like the sound of cards being shuffled (the part you cut out) but I agree it probably would’ve was a bit loud. If you did another card video, whether it be a game or just making sounds, the card shuffling could be really good when it’s further away from the mic or something!
Also I applaud you for continuing to upload videos like this where you play mental games and make yourself vulnerable to all the people screaming your mistakes in the comments 😂
I've never understood how to play solitaire but this is really relaxing

I collect decks of cards and the bicycle space deck Is one of the best I've ever seen it's incredible to use and unlike some other decks you can actually read the numbers on it

Stargazers (the deck used in this video) aren't as expensive as archangels and smoke and mirrors (some of the decks jojo gives away)

It's not about the price, it's about how nice they are. I've seen some fucking hideous dogs that cost thousands of dollars that I wouldn't take from a pound for free.

I have watched this like 10 times now and I still get mad that he didnt move the 3 of hearts over to the 4 of clubs towards the end so he could put the 4 of spades up top and free up the card underneath. That could have won the game.

I'll just be the odd one out and be playing Magic: The Gathering™ over here, playing 4 Black Lotus on my first turn and following up with a 24/24 Voracious Hydra on the same turn.
Little do some know, it's quite a talent to be able to tap on objects like this. I've tried to make my own joke ASMR video and I found it to be quite challenging going when tapping objects. The art of ASMR is truly amazing, yet disappointingly very underrated. You do us proud E.R., even with the small stuff like this.
I am so grateful for people like you! I deal with pretty bad anxiety and depression every winter. These videos always help and are solace in these times. Thank you for all your work, it doesn't ever go unnoticed.

That's actually one of my favorite decks from my collection, it's rather pretty. Nice to someone else appreciating it. Card sounds make for such good ASMR too, great video.

I had a card collecting phase while I was in high school, had easy 25 decks of various style and color, you named a high class deck I had it. I was impartial to finding bicycles too, the designs adored me and that new card smell was addicting. Stargazers were my favorite when I found them, I loved the neutral color scheme they had. Another cool stargazer deck is the sunspots, the red to this blue if you will. My girlfriend got me a pack of them, she loved the stargazers too. They’re similar, though every card is a nice bright orange and red rather than the purple and red.
I do enjoy that deck, great artistry there. The wooden solitaire set had nice sounds but there's something about cards which is more mesmerizing. Great video.

I think at 47:00 you could win by moving the 3 of hearts to the other 4 of clubs causing a card to be revealed by putting the 4 of spades on the foundation

Hi Ephemeral!
Heres some advice on how to shuffle one deck of cards;
First cut it into two halves. Doesnt need to be perfect. Set them both down horizontally and make a V shape with the two halves corner.
Place your palms over the card, and bring your thumb to the edges of the card where the V is formed.
Without too much force, 'peel' them back and let them fall into place. Push them together and repeat!
Other than that, love your videos and please bring more cards!

So my parents love nice playing cards, so I picked up the whole bicycle stargazer series (that the cards rift is using from) for them for Christmas 2019 coming up.
the first video of yours that i ever watched was a let’s play black jack roleplay that was posted around...6 or 7 years ago i think?? either way, i got so excited when i saw the notification that you posted this card game video :’) the sounds of playing cards have always been a favorite trigger of mine. also, those cards are gorgeous!!
For me the whole video could be you massaging the deck while it’s still in plastic. I’ve watched his four times now and always fell asleep after 3 minutes (an absolute record!)

When I went to a mental health facility (by choice btw, I agreed with my parents) I would play solitaire to pass time and calm down. We all played cards there because there were no electronics. I also had a black deck, they were plastic though. My grandma would also play solitaire every night. Thanks for making amazing content!

@@dingus_mc_bingus2815 It sucks quite a bit. Freedom is out the window, not having electronics sucked too. They at least made you feel safe, and slightly comforted. They did not help as much as I needed though, as there was only 2 therapists and 1 psychiatrist for 20-30 patients. Which is ridiculous with the almost 1000$ a night it costs (which was covered by my insurance thankfully). Another bad thing about it is that there were kids in there for years. There was also many returning people. One of the people could never really get out unless the state said so, because they were a child of the state. The food was meh, the rooms were blank, and you were only allowed 10 "personal items" which includes almost anything but blankets and pillows. There were stories of abuse. There was a dude who treated the boys worse than the girls, and put me on extra precautions (red band) just because I didn't answer when he asked me if I was ok. Red band meant you couldn't even use the bathroom without someone outside the door with the door open while you were counting. It also meant you had to sleep where the desk was, so there were lights in your face and people looking right at you. Another really bad thing is they had what was basically solitary confinement for people who were raging. This would be understandable if the rooms at least had something, and an option to turn the light off/dim it, and if you could only be in there for 2 hours or so, but they could put you in there for as long as they wanted from what I understood, and the room was completely devoid of anything. The worst thing I heard was that (supposedly) there was a 17 year old that got away with groping a couple of 14 year olds. There were also bans on a LOT of things, including erasers (people would use the friction to friction burn their arms), pencils, staples, certain kinds of paper and plastic, and if you name something I can tell you its probably banned. Also, what does that abbreviation mean?

Dude that sucks, I had a friend who went to one and she hated it there. I'm glad you're out though! Even I almost went to one, but I lucked out. I get the eraser thing too, I gave myself a burn cause reasons. But stay safe my dude, I hope you never have to go back

ER, video idea- you should get some card sleeves and make a video using cards in sleeves. I personally use dragonshield brand sleeves in matte colors, specifically because they are protective and durable, and the matte colors have a semi rough texture that feels nice and I could see some soothing sounds coming from them.
