This seems like an interesting product but I have a couple of questions/observations about it. First, is there some sort of clicking mechanism in the elasticity system to hold it in place? If not, do you think there is significant potential for the it to twist during solves and eventually come loose? Second, I noticed in thecubicle's video yesterday that the magnets in the torpedoes appear to be glued instead of (or maybe in addition to) being press-fit. Is my observation correct? If so, do you think it is possible for a sloppy glue job to create extra friction and impact performance?
Hi Phil I’m a cuber from the Philippines and yesterday I got an qiyi ms 2x2 I liked it so much that I main it well I really on have 2 2x2 shengshou tank 2x2 and qiyi ms 2x2 so it was a no brainer that I picked the qiyi ms 2x2 and I would like to say I got it because of the reviews and it’s pretty nice I wen from sub 15 to sub 10 solves Ps.no Qiyi MS discrimination
12:48 In my opinion, there is no point in creating these crazy tensioning systems when you can have a very simple mechanising with a screw and spring that does not require any tools to adjust the springs(kind of like the MGC Elite.)
How long does a company own a new innovation before the others are free to copy the design into their own cubes? Or is there a law that controls how designs are copied? Or is there usually a patent sale and agreement between the parent owner of the design & the copier? (Don't mind my terminologies)
I think maybe they are doing that thing where you release an obviously inferior model in order to make the expensive one seem reasonable or of higher value.

You are thinking wrong here. Off course gan doesn't bother at all for the release of this cube. It's even good for gan. Simply because this is once again a confirmation for gan that they are king of the hill. This mscube can't compete with the real thing and the mscube looks really kitchy.
@@asmallkitten there is no reason for consideration of factors when you look at this kitchy cube. Microsoft and apple have competion, xbox and playstation have competition. But if gan sees this cube, they'll still sleep well. They are king of quality and innovation. But i understand and appreciate what you are saying.
@@asmallkitten but i admit that i wan't to try this cube and i'll probably like it but it will not prevent me to buy a gan cube also. It's more a disadvantage for my pocket wanting to try all these cubes 🙂. Thank you for the review also, looking forward to try it.
