    • @MrSergecj
      @MrSergecj Před 4 lety +58

      brandon yes of course, running is everyday around 10k, but the circuit training is the factor. I don’t do it now, take a break from it, can burn you out. I heard it improves VO2 max and endurance drastically.

    • @brandonyong678
      @brandonyong678 Před 4 lety +3

      @@MrSergecj I'm still counted as a beginner and I can't run for 10k straight. Any tips?

    • @MrSergecj
      @MrSergecj Před 4 lety +39

      brandon well it depends on many factors. Your Age, your level of fitness, your running experience, your running form, your running shoes, your weight (better BMI index), your body-fat percentage.
      Good way to get an idea is to perform a cooper 12 minute running test. Also do a 1 hour running test (if its hard and you cant tun for an hour just walk and run - see what distance you can cover in an hour, but your heart rate should not be too high no higher than 145bpm)
      I would only perform this kind of tests given that you are not too young (older than 15 lets say, and not over weight bmi less than 25)
      If you can cover 8k in an hour (better 10k) than you are defiantly ready to cover 10k per day. But take it easy because you have a risk of getting and injury, because your joints might not be ready for the volume), you can split 10k into two 5k runs. And also weight training and circuit training is good.
      Also - don’t run to much on hard surfaces, treadmill, athletics track, park with grass surface is better than road.
      Slowly build up, if you feel too much strain, cut back a little and rest for couple of days, don’t push it too much. Better to stay injury free. Study running form. My personal major running form advice is get used to 180 cadence, use metronome. Any way its hard to give advice because we are all different what works for me might not work for you. And I am by no means an expert in the field. All I can tell you is how I went from 30min 5k to 16min 5k in 1,5 years. But it was not easy and I had to pretty much forget about everything else in life especially after 18min 5k all I did is train, sleep, eat, train, work a little, train again and sleep and eat. But I am 33 and had little running experience for over 15 years (since school and was a heavy smoker)

I feel like with guys more than girls, it’s like you should walk into a weight room and know what you should be doing to get better. Sure, in general, lifting weights will get you strong but for what? What sport? What’s the end goal? When you’re young, at least for me, no one was willing to do that.

    The correct and more importantly dynamic way is that both arms should be in motion at the same time. i.e. when one arm is pulling up (curling) the other arm is on the way down (counter curling)

    Kid is a natural no doubt. But..
    It is easy to train wrong. It is easier to leave out the 'things' that seem irrelevant.
    You are better served by working the whole body, no matter the sport.
    Also, the 'mind' is just as relevant..but this kid seems to be pretty focused..which is a large part of her success!

      @@fbi805 first of all, anyone who hasn't loved under a rock for the past two years can notice that her engines been lagging.
      Second of all, just because she competed internationally doesn't mean she ISN'T burning out, it just means she still is at an elite level, just not as much as before. On the same note, it's been a long long while since then, things change.
      Third, you wonder how I'd do on an injury? If do bad, just like she is, and an injury doesn't equate burning out, it's simply a fuel to the fire that's slowly burning her down. If she IS injured, she shouldn't run. It seems as though you treat her as a hero for running on an injury, but it doesn't, it just means she's making dumb decisions to continue running.
      Last, just because she holds the record that she set prior to burning out, doesn't mean she won't later, which she is.

      @@olyviakiley1580 her competition in Denmark was in August with the Us National team. Maybe you should actually do some research before opening your mouth and calling someone a burnout especially a high school student that has been an inspiration to girl athletes since she was in 6 grade... it seems to me you have a lot of shit against Grace Ping. You don't know her form a hole in the ground and yet you automatically assume that she has burned out. That's pretty funny on the burnout thing considering that most of the races she did over the last 2 years she either ended up in 1st place or second place, if that is what you call burned out makes me wonder what you call someone who is really burned out... With that said Kaitlyn herself isn't at the top of her game either as she ended up canceling the remainder of her track season plus she is also comming back from a knee injury and is still prepping to compete at the US Nationals for a chance to go to the 2020 Olympics... by the way I know from experience what both of these girls are go iij ng through with their training and injuries. I ran 4 years of track for my high school and I played football for 6 years, 4 of those in high school. I know the determination athletes have to compete even with an injury.
