    Thank you for this video. I always wondered how long to apply the pressure for and I like to use my hands. I never really knew how long it should take.

    I think my leg muscles have weakened. I attempt a walk each morning of about 20 minutes. I also am doing 10 reps of sitting and standing, twice a day. What I most want to overcome is the delay in my leg moving to walk such that I seem to hover before I can move. Sometimes I can see this is worse if I am unsure of my footing but also when people allow their dogs to approach me (I've been bitten.) I also find that I hover when I first go out the door to take my walk, as though I have to retrain my legs to move, to make that first movement and then subsequent step movements until I get into a pattern of walking. This may be a reaction to my muscles being knotted as my leg muscles do seem to ache. I don't really want to have to buy any equipment but am willing to try these exercises if by doing them regularly they can regain movement when walking.

      These exercises probably won't help with the hesitation. That seems more like a confidence with movement or balance issue than purely a strength or knotted muscle issue. Here are some balance exercises that may help: czcams.com/video/KpTiX1aMr9w/video.html
      It also could be a sign of a neurological disorder affecting movement such as Parkinson's disease though, so I'd suggest seeing your medical doctor and physiotherapist to get it checked out for sure.

      @@More4Life Thank you for the balance exercises. I'll see about adding those as well as the ones to deal with knots to my daily routine. I think the confidence problem isn't neurological but it is something I need to keep tackling.

    Thank you. What if your legs are also tight, should I avoid stretching in that case as well?

    • @More4Life
      @More4Life  Pƙed 3 měsĂci +3

      It depends if what part of your legs are tight. For the hamstrings, often a "tightness" sensation comes from sciatica rather than the muscle itself. Here's a video explaining that further: czcams.com/video/-UmFyrgPaNQ/video.html

      @@More4Life Thank you, I hyperextended my leg years back and doctors told me I just have a pain syndrome but I have knots from top to bottom and patellar Tracking disorder. Jogging seems to be great for getting the pain down and helping blood flow but I fall back into the same symptoms quickly if I don't jog or do different muscle release techniques pretty much daily. I will check that link out, thanks for your help. Feel free to shoot me anything else that might point me in the right direction based off my description.

    Are knots the same as cramps😊

    • @More4Life
      @More4Life  Pƙed 5 měsĂci +5

      Not exactly. A cramp is usually intense and short-lives (seconds to minutes). A knot, or trigger point, is usually chronic, dull, and achy

      @@More4Life is it possible knots can work their way up the leg due to overwork/not stretching etc and end up causing hip and back pain?

    • @More4Life
      @More4Life  Pƙed měsĂcem +2

      @@scotty90, yes It is possible for knots / stiffness in one area causing compensations in other areas.
