We need a Tommy video essay about the James Krause situation, already one for the betting issue but a lot of stuff has happened since that
Good idea man. That’s a shit show of a situation that needs his perspective.
I'd imagine it's happening
@@ronswanson1410 i think that's the case, personally i don't mind waiting some time and get a video of the whole situation, including the future resolution by NSAC and the ufc, but we'll see how everything goes, kinda shitty situation for all the fighters under glory mma, especially moreno since he would miss the title shot if he does not find a new gym
Dude, yes!!!!! Perfect for Tommy’s new videos
Video idea. Weight classes with the most missed weight. Total pounds missed. (Day 17 of asking)
if you had to guess without looking what would you guess? I would guess 170, idk why but I have a feeling 170 or 145.
@@dano1307 most likely! It’s hard without a 65 and 75 division.
Love this idea
I’d guess 170, 185, or 125. Middleweight bc the prior jump down is 15lbs and the next jump up is 20lbs. Welterweight bc the prior jump down and next jump up is 15lbs, and flyweight bc getting any grown man down to 125lbs has to be hard af and miserable af. Even CCC said “I suffer to make 125lbs.” Great idea, would take a shitload of research. Bc I doubt that’s something you can just Google.
I don’t think this idea is as interesting as you think it is
Crazy that I’ve been following the UFC long enough to see Uriah Hall both in the ultimate fighter and retiring
Right? Dudes had a super weird career throughout
Dude i watched Diego Sanchez enter and leave the UFC
Kinda interesting how Adesanya and Hall are parallels of each other's career
That ain't long I remember watching the first tuf as I'm old lol .
@@bewareimsinister7455 I didn’t say it was long. I just said long enough. I’m pretty young so to get into watching the UFC when I did was pretty rare. Everyone watches it now but no one my age was following it back then. The first fight I watched was Diego Sanchez vs. BJ Penn.
it was just wild to me to see someone that I so vividly remember that season of the ultimate fighter now retiring. Obviously there been a lot of people who have come into the UFC and retired since 2009 but none that had the reputation like Uriah Hall had
Andrei Arlivski is the man. People have been counting him out since the Tim Sylvia losses back in… what, 2007?! Dude is still going and evolving despite losing some of his athletic ability.
Now introducing the King of the walk off, the Super Samoan; Mark Hunt. Imagine that not happening.
Andy wangs one fight on ultimate fighter made him a warrior for life
Real ones know 💯
That guy’s not a punk, man. He’s a warrior.
I miss old mma memes
Hes loyal and hes a warrior
@@AlphaQHard he made that commitment to bj….even if bj told him to kick rocks lol
Man i had no idea Mark Hunt had such a crazy early career facing Barnet, fedor, overeem, and gegard 🤣😭
Yeah he's had a really long and illustrious career.
It’s a perfect representation as to why a fighter’s record doesn’t always tell the full story
He faced Mirko Crocop also...pure war...
@@InsideAssassin2 oh 100%
Can’t believe Jan Blachowicz once lost to Pat Cummings 😮
Patrick Cummins actually wasn't that bad during his early UFC run. He also beat future PFL champ Shoeface and former strikeforce Lightheavy weight champion Rafael "Feijao" Cavalcante.
@@a.j.rusinek8856 it's just that he's such a clown. Nobody wants a loss to him on their record
@@a.j.rusinek8856 And he made DC cry lol
How you guys don’t have 1m subs is beyond me. One of the best, and hardest working channels in all of CZcams.
A lot of people forget that Tuivasa was cut, and then returned to fight Struve, so he really had to win the Struve fight
Idk if that was even true, he got asked on one of his posts if he was cut and he said "yeah 😔" but idk if it was ever official or if he was joking around and the media ran with it
They wouldnt cut a fighter then instantly bring him back
I heard that he got cut, think Stefan Struve needed an opponent and they called him back, they done it just recently with Chase Sherman when he fought Alexander Romanov. Tai had moved to AKA to do this camp, maybe DC had some influence over this.
@@koalazhd4252 they’ve done it to chase sherman
@@lieq6022 the difference is chase asked to be released for financial reasons so he could go fight in bareknuckle but then a few days later they offered him more money and resigned him, they didn't want him to go but they obviously wanted tai gone at the time
Hajime No Ippo clips for the win
Video idea- who is behind MMA on point? Who trains, and how did you fall in love with MMA (favorite fighters/fights)?
My favorite comeback story was Paul Craig. He was literally being set up to lose and pulled it off with 1 second left in a fight he was losing.
Yes! 🏴🏴
fights at the last mintune be 🔥🔥🔥 and they Win still can't believe that Leon edwards ko Kamaru usman won the Welterweight championship
No Masvidal vs Till? Jorge went from obscure, hadn’t won a fight in over 2 years. Then Vs Till, he had a KO of the year nominee vs a big natural middleweight, then KO of all time in the next fight. Pre Darren Till, Masvidal wasn’t on anyone’s radar
Well... like you literally point out it took 2 performances that saved their careers.
Jorge wasn't on the chopping block. He lost decisions to Wonderboy and Maia who were at the top of their game at the time. Fighting Till didn't necessarily save Masvidal's career because it didn't need saving, it just helped skyrocket his popularity and he was no longer "that one guy" on fight night cards. lol
Granted, it's hard to say what the UFC would have done if Till had beat him, but I think Jorge's career was safe, he wasn't creating waves with the promotion, he always took his fights and showed up and he wasn't causing problems at the time and had been with the promotion forever. I think things would have stayed the same for him as they had been going in the first place. The fame he achieved from beating Till and Askren, turned him into his own worse enemy in the long run.
@@panspermiapancakes I agree on all but the last point. This last stage of his career took him from worthless to $6 million net worth. As overrated as those 3 wins made him, for his career and earnings, it was well worth it, despite all the losses and troubles since.
The video is about fighters who had their careers saved from a single win, not guys who were propelled into stardom from a single win.
@@nyphon Well, we don’t have Askren without Till. If Masvidal had lost to Till, he would have been on a 3 fight skid right at the start of his late 30’s. Without Till, no Askren. Without Askren, no Nate. So no, I’d say the Till fight saved his career, and the Askren fight propelled him into temporary super stardom. Post Till is when he began to talk differently. It’s when he started to use the whole baptizing people line. He walked into a title fight having gone 3-2, after winning a fight with a madeup belt but brilliant marketing by the UFC. None of that happens if he doesn’t KO Darren Till.
Hunt was a perfect pick for number one!
It's canny mint to see how far you guys have come in the last few years! From the bottom to the top and it's all well deserved! Keep up the good work d00ds
I remember all of these but my fav was the Mark Hunt one. It was just sick to see him bounce back and end up giving us the greatest HW fight ever against Bigfoot.
same
That hajime no Ippo clip!! Just a reminder to all boxing and MMA fans to watch hajime no Ippo best sports anime it's very realistic and inspiring and entertaining
I wish teppu would get an anime adaptation
@@JoemamaTheHybrid I wish teppu would get an actual ending
Always gotta love Hajime no Ippo clips used as examples here. Best sports anime
Let me guess. Izzy fan?
@@coldestbeer not at all. Just a weeb who wrestled all his life and loves mma
@Coolcrash1998 as a fellow weeb who wrestled in school, Ultimate Muscle inspired me more.
@@coldestbeer oh shit I remember ultimate muscle
@@coldestbeer didn't watch it much as a kid. Hajime no Ippo and Ashita no Joe have probably inspired me more than any actual person could have
Imagine Mark Hunt doing power slapping than MMA.
he beat some greats in mma but he'd have been the GOAT of slapping no contest
fantastic! thanks guys!
We need a follow up on the betting problem in mma after betting has been banned in Canada and more info on krause came out
Alleged info
I would have liked to have Diego Sanchez and Anthony Pettis finish their careers in the UFC.
Video idea: greatest gate keepers of all time
Love that idea. Gate keepers get a bad wrap, but being a gate keeper means being better than the vast majority of your weight class, and you're able to overcome most hopeful prospects. The most hyped up and coming fighters often have their careers TRASHED by a gate keeper. Brunson vs. Shabazyan and Cerrone vs. Hernandez comes to mind. Beating a gate keeper, however, means you've broken into the cream of the crop, you've proven yourself as a legit talent, and you're undoubtedly one of the best in your division. Derrick Lewis, Cowboy Cerrone, Neil Magny, and Derek Brunson come to mind as noteworthy gate keepers. Gate keepers only lose to the best, so they must be pretty good.
Cowboy #1
I think Stephan Bonnar vs Krysztof Soszynski from UFC 116 should be an honorary mention. I love the drama in that fight, and having lost 3 I remember people thinking a loss in that was going to be it.
I wonder how often Magomed thinks about that loss to Paul Craig 🤔 1 second away from keeping his perfect record in tact & he taps... I'm sure that eats at him now
What the Bear Jew did to Jamahal Hill has to go down as the most vicious TKO in UFC history. I’ll never forget Hills arm just flopping around while Craig smashed him with elbows for a full minute
Video idea. All TUF seasons and what happened to the cast members
I would say Uncle Chael, but the GOATs career was never in jeopardy to need saving.
Video idea: Best fights that didn’t win FOTN. Examples: Billy Q vs Burgos, Conor vs Mendes, Frankie Edgar vs Gray Maynard 3
To add to your list.
Charles Oliveira vs. Michael Chandler
Beneil Dariush vs. Drakkar Klose
You that Hajimino Ippo clip is gold. Super under appreciated anime.
Great video idea
That intro 🔥
Love the intro 😂😂
Best intro 😂
How about Francis Ngannou vs Curtis Blaydes 2? Everyone thought that his star was going to fade after losing his title shot against Stipe and then losing to Lewis.
Its interesting how much momentum seems to play a factor in the streaks of mma fighters. Ive never heard an mma fighter discuss this but id like to hear more. Im guessing the confidence of being on a win streak helps them persevere
Stylebender is constantly talking about the importance of momentum, it's usually how he makes his picks for betting on fights
How about "Top 10 Mojahed Fudailat's Running Jokes"?
This list needs a Black Beast update once he re-signs.
Bro.. Did you use Scott Sterling clips? XD
as a jersey boy who trained at ama for like 2 months lol huge Jim Miller fan...glad to see him still going and not getting beatings lime most guys that been fighting that long....the lime disease was really messing him up....hopefully he makes it to 300....if he does that will never repeated again in the ufc
10 most underrated champions
Masvidal should be on his list as well tbh if till had won in his return he was definitely not returning to the ufc again
rofl that intro made me spit my curry out 🤣
Timeless pairings, Mark Hunt and Armbars.
I love the Diego nightmare Sanchez i miss those days
Colby probably saved his but that was with the Post fight interview in brazil lol it worked ay
Fighters with day jobs video would be so neat. i didnt know aleye a quinta was a realtor
I honestly don't think I've ever seen bald Jan Blachowicz before this video, it caught me off guard fr
Tito vs Bader will live in vintage performance loor for eternity
I think 1999 is my new favorite thing to hear people from England say
Where do you put the coins in that wallet?
U can't that why it's a shitty wallet design idea tbh
Man I forgot about that Diego Craig white fight
UFC 300 is in April and Jim Miller is fighting against Bobby Green
It’s Tony time
The T1 clip lmao
I also thought mars attack was a remake of a movie. It’s a movie based 1960s card. Which is not too wrong of Schlaub.
In the words of Ali G “big-up” for the hajime no ippo clip
Holy hell did Mark Hunt have a rough time
Video idea: Top 10 threats to life after mma
still don’t understand why ankalaev tapped to the triangle with 1 second left
If Colby Covington screaming "you filthy animals" isn't number 1 this list is a joke.
Bro I JUST bought a ridge wallet dammit. O well
I predict that the Super Samoan is pretty high on this list.
Paul Graig is just Roman Dolizde at 205. Same guy , double the fight double the paychecks 🧠
crazy arlovski having 15 fights in the ufc since 2017....most great fighters will never even have 10 fights in the ufc...let alone someone who's been fighting for like 17 years now....and after 5 loses in a row 99% of guys get cut...the pit bull is a legend
How about 10 false narratives about fighters? Charles being a quitter stuff like that
He is lol
Should do 1 video each about Ariel Helwani and Joe Rogan
Mark hunt. That was funny
Fighters that got finished after missing weight
Man, I'm getting fed up with Bayliun getting Giblert Melendez' name wrong all the time!
As a huge fan of this channel, there was a lot of mistakes in the editing. Introduced Uriah hall as Faber. And the outro was about champs losing their belts?
please god, let Darren till be on one of these lists in the near future
Diego’s run with fabia ruined him
If you look up "stale reference" in the dictionary it's going to have a picture of you taking pictures of things and putting it in the dictionary...
What about max holloway?
Colby vs Maia should be in.
Eh no.
10 fighters who destroyed their careers with just one fight.
Actually Uriah Hall is boxing now and just beat a former NFL player Bell who was a terrible running back! 😂😂
Mark Hunt also just tko'd some up and comer boxer, at the age of 46 and he retired from all fighting, after that boxing match....he went out like a true warrior and champ...knocking some young buck's lights out!! 😂😂😂😂
What world region watches the most MMA?
North America
You got me when you said Mark hunt was a champion of power slapping. I was like wtf they had that crap around that long I didn't know that lol.
Bro fuck the sponsors I watch based on y’all amazing content bet CZcams pays ya boys great
Derrick Lewis
Really thought Matt Brown would be on here
Jesus Christ, Mark Hunt has the world record for losing by submission back to back, like dude, I mean surely there had to be some sort of sign that told you "fights about to hit the ground. Uh oh he's getting a hold of your arm, this isn't good bro a submission is definitely coming you better do something and fast"
"Oh shit he's trying to extend your arm BRO HE'S ATTEMPTING AN ARMBAR!"
"Please tell me how you didn't see this coming, Mark? Surely you have some sort of knowledge on grappling and submissions, right? You saw this coming the second the fight went to the ground and he was trying to get your fucking arm, you donut"
and didn't hunt even get a interm title fight
You just disrespected your boss your done gone no video from here 🤣😂🤣
German: Nein, Nein, Nein
Britain:1999
Diaz over McGregor should be #1. Literally put Diaz from 20 and 20 to a multimillion dollar fighter.
was that Quid in your wallet???
"Baffroom"
- Enlightened Brits
I much prefer this British dude over the other dude who yells the whole time
Ben needs to change that man bun.
Eighth!
That ridge shit isn't a wallet. Who would want that? No room for coins and who needs space for 12 cards?
Y are u able to pronounce the A sound in the prefix but not the suffix..
Daner
Arener
Etc..
Masvidal should be the spokesperson for this category forever . Never seen someone get so much love and respect for a lucky win that was all luck and a fight he prob looses if that kneee doesn’t land flush. Has done absolutely nothing and continues to get treated like “super star”
💗😍
Running out of ideas? I feel like you did loads of videos on variation of this idea.
