So unfortunate, 6 days later Stephan Bonnar, one of the people who kept the UFC alive and pretty much any of us watching MMA in general passed on. 45 was too young. 2022 was a brutal year on our legends.
Something about the physical pain that's there every waking minute added with the blows to the head seem to equal a short life..
That Rumble prank with Jones on Dana will always have a special place in MMA history
RIP Rumble. One of my all-time favorite fighters and the scariest man to ever step in the octagon.
I had no idea that Rumble passed away. Shocked🙏
He was humble in victory and defeat which is something i liked about him so much
I'll be the one everyone hates for this...but nah. Ngannou all day takes that sorry bro. RIPRJ
@@gamebrakerz6322 nahh don't hate you man much respect to rumble may he rest in peace but you're correct he's not the scariest man to ever step in the octagon one of the scariest yes but the scariest no... I personally agree ngannou is the scariest
RIP to all the mentioned
“We’ll give them the fight they wanted in the next life” RIP Rumble
Brb gotta go cry
Sweet lord guys, this is some heavy stuff. I lost my brother a few weeks ago so this hits extra hard. RIP to all the warriors we've lost
I’m so sorry for your loss Greg ❤, praying for you and your family
@@ProjectRaijin Thank you Chris, very kind of you
Lost my gf in 2020. We survive together ❤
My love and condolences to you and yours, may peace and love be with you ❤️
Sorry Greg. I hope you find strength within yourself in the moments that you need it most.
I started crying at the tweets from DC and Glover. Seems like Rumble was the nicest guy around when he wasn't punching you, and the way so many of these guys hid terminal illness for so long is just heartbreaking.
He was amazing. You can look up his buzzfeed video where he showed beginners how to fight, and was very very kind.
@@lc7644I’ve never seen anything about that. You sure you’re not talking about rampage jackson?
@@spidaman9249 Just google his name then domestic abuse, you get dozens of articles detailing all the stories. Guy had four different women with restraining orders against him. If you want to talk about how he was an amazing fighter then that's fair but all these people talking about him being a "nice guy" are getting super grating.
@@eugenewatson1456 I had no idea. I've seen people get undeserved praise before.
As soon as they die they're elevated to the level of saints.
Thanks for keeping it real...
@L C except he wasn't. None of the accusations ever turned out to be true.
So sad when I heard about rumble.... dude was a warrior!!!!
I still cannot believe what happened to Elias, he was and will always be one of my favorites his technical prowess and overall happy-go-lucky demeanor were amazing. Despite the heavy anniversary he faced, he smiled through it up until the very end I bet.
He used to train with a lot of my friends at their gym in the Niagara region, I even wrestled him a couple of times, was always a super nice and humble guy, and treated everyone with respect, a lot of the athletes in my gym, are devastated to hear of this news, a complete and total shock
Jeff Novitsky is *not* "the head of USADA"... he has *never* worked for USADA.
He worked for the Food & Drug Administration (FDA) and the Internal Revenue Service (IRS), before moving to the UFC, in Athlete Health and Performance. (Currently as Senior Vice President).
Orlando Sanchez passed away a couple days ago and I’ve been crying all weekend. Big O FTW 😔
R.I.P to all the warriors. Gone but Never Forgotten.
i didnt want to waker up today, watch some youtube and cry....but thank you for this great tribute.
It’s probably been 10 years since I commented on a video… this one was touching, and it reminds us that everyone has their struggles. I’m honored to have grown up watching so many of these legends.
RIP Orlando Sanchez who just passed away on the 15th. Sad man.
I was sparring with Jimmo and yelled at him for punching me too hard before work. It's dumb, the things that stick out after someone's gone. Beautiful tribute. Well done Luke, Bayliun, and all!
Honourable mentions to Abdulmanap Nurmagamedov, Corey Hill and Shane Del Rosario. Rest easy
Amar Suloev being denied medical treatment is so disgusting, RIP ❤
Ellias and Rumble’s passing hurts so bad, both men were angels outside of the cage and warriors inside, gonna miss that heartwarming smile from AJ 😢
Crying as I edit this Rest In Peace Stephan Bonnar thank you for saving our sport and catapulting it into the main stream
I'm not sure Rumble can really be described as an angel outside the cage
Rampage had a DV charge lmao no angel at all
@@petuniapaul758 rampage isn’t even in this video you casual bum
Didn't he say he was involved in an organised crime and an assassination attempt? Why would you feel sorry for him?
@@petuniapaul758 rampage isn't dead.
I lost my dad about a month ago and this was a tough one to watch, and I'm sure it was even harder to make and put together so thankyou boys. Covering a topic like death is never easy but you did it pretty well. Hope everyone at MMA On Point is doing well ❤️
Rip🕊
RIP to your pops, my friend ❤️
Praying for you and your family, I’m so sorry for your loss Harry ❤️🙏
RIP Stephan Bonnar, saved the UFC for us all and gave us a fight to remember for the rest of our lives. Proper legend.
My condolences and warm wishes to his family and loved ones in this rough time.
He reminded me alot of my step brothers real dad, not to mention he looks like him. Hes hooked on pain pills and has been for many years. always stressed, high blood pressure, constant withdrawals along with heart complications. He has tried to get pills for made up injuries constantly from the hospital. How his heart of brain hasnt given out, we dont know.
Amen, brother, Amen
R.I.P Norifumi Yamamoto. A true legend, icon, and badass.
This is hitting hard today. Damn guys.
Thank you for this. These warriors deserve to be noticed and remembered. #RIPLegends
Rip all these warriors. Listening to Chael Sonnen talk about Evan tanner death is incredibly painful.
We also cannot forget the passing of....
-Stephen Bonnar
-Paul Varleans
-Emmanuel Yarborough
-Patrick Smith
-Justin Eilers
-Travis Fulton (debated whether to mention him or not.)
-Shawn Thompson
-Charles Lewis ("Mask")
-Mike Bitonio (had epic fight vs. Bart Vale at World Combat Championship)
Rest in peace.
The absolute best MMA content. This has been one of my favorite fight years and you guys brought the lists and the great live shows
May they rest in piece. They will never be forgotten. To MMA on point and the fighters, THANK YOU for everything!
Love that "blink and you'll miss it" of Erasure: Respect ❤
Also don't forget about Abdulmanap Nurmagomedov, one of the greatest coaches in combat sports history 🙏
Lots of coaches have passed away, that should be another video.
I hope y'all do more of these. Always good to pay respects and talk about the fighters' lives after they've left the limelight
Every loss is sad, but for us old-schoolers, the loss of Randleman hit extra hard.
Exactly
I was a Randleman Stan since seeing him slam Fedor in Pride. The only other one that hit home was Evan Tanner due to him being a part of the HIT squad and there at the beginning. Crazy how he went out. Btw, did you guys ever see that hole Kev had in his ribcage from the staph infection he had that they cut out? Yeeeshh.
From everything I've seen he was a really nice guy who everyone liked. The chapter about Randleman in Napolean Blowapart's Pride documentary is called "The Friendly Monster". That seems about right.
He was also the most freakish athlete I'd seen in MMA until Yoel Romero showed up. His jumping ability was insane for a guy his size.
@@BiggieTrismegistus Anthony rumble was a slightly better athlete I'd argue keep in mi I'd add tony Waialua fought during the USADA Era I believe while Randleman was no doubt on steroids he was like 6-1 270 pounds and super shredded
Much respect for making this video. It's super important we remember the ones who put their health on the line to make this sport what it is today. Josh Samman's head kick KO on his late girlfriends birthday is one of the most emotional moments I'd ever seen
Thank you all those individuals who gave us a way to entertain ourselves along with showing their technical prowess of fighting. Your struggles gave us an outreach we could never have anywhere, whatsoever.
When Kimbo Slice joined TUF he couldn't have been more different from what I thought he'd be like. I figured he'd be a brash, arrogant meathead but in reality he's humble, hard-working and introspective.
Massive respect to these legends. And the Channel as well for uploading such a heart touching video. Kudos guys.
I busted into tears at Kid. Loved him when I was a kid.
Evan Tanners death is still so tragic ...
Grew up watching him was really shocked when he passed away
Rip to all the mma legends that passed too young 💪💪 great video on point
This is why you guy's are by far the best MMA channel around much respect, and keep up the good work. Many thanks.
Great video - thanks for making this so people get to see some of the legends who have gone ahead.
Still can't believe that Elias is gone. He was such an awesome and likeable guy. RIP Elias Theodorou 😭
Thank for this guys, Respect to all those lost.
I love this. Thank you. Never forget..
Amazing video. You made me tear up man. Great tribute.
Great tone to this video. From the narrative, the music and tying it up with well told stories. A nice change ❤
Brilliant content. Why this channel is the best
I wrestled my senior year in 2014... not many years before Kevin Randleman passed. Crazy seeing the guy coaching a school out here in Vegas. He definitely wasn't the hulking monster the nickname would suggest. Man was coaching kids with a visible limp and major weight loss (of course he;s older at this point) ... crazy crossing paths with a Legend because of our shared love for a sport that built both of us to confront life. Life is too unexpected, but glad he was making a difference for the kids I wrestled that night. Wish I wrestled for Silverado in that moment!
I love fighting and all the pioneers who have paved the way for our day.
All the love and respect to all the fighters who have lost there lives you are still fighter out there somewhere RIP
And thank you for making this vid some of the fighters I didn't know about but am glad I do now so thank you
You guys are great for this !
man this is a tough watch. much respect to you boys for this video. RIP to them all
Great video! Thank you, all!
Have a very Merry Christmas and a prosperous New Year.
The case of Ryan Gracie is complicated, here in Brazil we still think that he was murdered
Just such a depressing list to watch. RIP to all the men mentioned in this video and the ones not mentioned. You all may be gone but never forgotten, rest easy everyone.
I have to watch this video in bits and pieces. These stories hit hard..
Thank you for making this video.
Thank you for this!
thank you guys
Elias Theodorou - I ran into Elias at a Walmart of all places in Mississauga, Ontario just as the Covid lockdowns were happening in March 2020. I went up to him and mentioned that I was a fan and enjoyed seeing his fights and in other media. We chatted for a bit and he genuinely appreciated that I recognized him and his accomplishments. I asked for a selfie with him but realized I had forgotten my phone. He said no problem and used his own phone and texted me the photo. We then parted ways and wished each other well, it was such a cool encounter. It was so unexpected and sad to hear of his passing. What people say about Elias is all true, he was truly a nice person. RIP Elias.
Thanks for sharing this!
‘ Rumble ‘ Johnson was a Beautiful Soul. RIP BIG GUY. You will live on in the hearts of those who. Admired you. 👼🏾
Beautiful soul?! He had multiple instances of violence against women. I get admiring the fights he put on, but come on! Let's not go over the top just because he sadly passed away.
bloody hell lads, this video nearly broke me. thank you though 💔
Rumble was a man who always went out to fight, didn't matter if he won or lost, he always went to entertain and put out the best showing he could.
I knew Elias Theodoru personally, my dad coached him for a few years around 2013/14 when he won TUF. He was one of the coolest people I have ever met he always had a smile on his face and made everyone in the room laugh and smile he was truly enlightened. You will be missed bro rest in power Spartan ❤️
Kevin Randleman was one of the original fighters who go me into mma, chuck, Kevin and randy. I remember seeing him for the first time and just being like "Jesus, I didn't know a human could be this big he looks like a street fighter character'. Was legit torn up when Kevin passed.
RIP Kiimbo a legend that entered the UFC too late in his life and left life too early.
Great work. More channels should celebrate and remember the fallen warriors that paved the way
Legitimately, Rumble was one of my favourites. I remember him being dangerous @ 170 when he had to cut a ridiculous amount of weight but when he fought 205, he was an absolute killer.
Rip to them all and thank you so much for the memories
The invincible Evan Tanner. One of my favorite fighters ever. Was a wrestler in WCW when I first heard of him. I saw him fall off of 2 stacked cages sitting on a wrestling ring. From the very top, to the floor. 25 feet onto his back. You know what he did next? He got right back up. Years later I saw him fighting in the UFC. He was champion at the time. Always amazing. Died a really bad way...
BEST DAMN VIDEO. Mad respect to them for what they accomplished in the MMA world, and may all of them RIP!!
Wow, thank you to this channel for making this video. This is what these fighters deserve. To be remembered and to have their stories told. Major respect to this channel.
This video needed to happen, I thank you for it.
But man, 😢😢😢😢 real tears over some of these great guys like Kimbo and Rumble
A very sad video, but one of the best I've ever seen. RIP to all those listed
absolutely beautiful....
Love and prayers for all these warriors weve lost❤️🙏🏻
Bravo to all you guys
God Bless Everyone
This is a great video thank you for this another honorable mention is Spencer Fisher. I seen a video called Spencer Fisher the price of being the king. He hasn't died yet but his brain is like 75% there and it's from fighting I thought I would bring him up because I really like him along with these other fighters. R. I. P. Rumble Johnson
I love this video... Thanks you
Great tribute
RIP to all the MMA legends that have passed. Thanks you for the fights
That Rumble one hit me hard. When I saw his death note saying he's never been this scared made me think of when he retired after Cormier and said to the fans "I love you" and everyone knew what was coming next. One of the best fighters inside and out. RIP Rumble.
❤️🕊️ great vid y’all R.I.P
Thank you for putting this together. I would have liked to see Jason David frank in here. He didn't have many mma fights but he did have a couple and he probably led many kids to join martial arts
Beautiful video❤️
I went to UFC Orlando a few wks ago and they showed tributes to Elias Theodoreau and Rumble.
you guys should make this into a series
Well now we have to add another to this list:/ RIP Stephen Bonnar 😢
This got me in the feels.
rest in peace to all our MMA kings, hope to believe they’re up there still practicing their art❤️
Brutal one, boys. Large quantities of onions being absolutely diced. I understand that social media is someone presenting their personal ideal self image and all that blah blah, but if you follow Elias on IG, you know that the dude really was relentlessly positive, kind, a hard worker, and an absolute boon to the sport. May all these warriors Rest In Peace.
RIP to all these fighters, as someone who wants to fight professionally this really put into perspective how much I owe to the ones before me. These warriors all played a small part in making it possible to do what I love for a living. Thank you to all you beautiful souls and rest in peace.
Man, the fkn world misses Anthony Johnson 😢
Reported
I had a hard time making through this video, but thanks for making it😢
The Rumble one hurt a lot.
He's only a couple of years older than me. And then Kevin Conroy (Batman voice actor), and Jason David Frank (The Green Ranger) passed away.
3 people I looked up to at different points in my life. Passed away within a month.
RIP to all of our fallen heroes.
An between Evan, Kevin, and Rumble, those were the hardest as a fan. Many respects to all true fighters, then and now.
I dig the shout out to the editor Luke. Great job man.
loved playing with elias in ufc 3 definitely one of my favorite fighters
Great list guys, shows a lot of respect to some of the legends that are no longer with us. However I did notice one thing when Ryan Jimmo got his seven second knockout, it was tied for second fastest in UFC history not first. The first was Duane Ludwig and at 0:06 of round 1, that happened around 2006 if I remember, so awhile before Jimmo, Todd Duffee or the Korean Zombie(all are tied with 7 second KO) entered the UFC.
Rumbles passing hit me hard
Love the videos
I didn’t think much of this video when I saw the thumbnail but finished it with tears in my eyes
Good job Bayliun.
