They were team mates at the Blackhouse. Fairly certain Mark coached Machida and Silva on wrestling while he was there getting lessons on BJJ from the Nog twins. They were all good friends.
that was really awesome
If that would be always the case i would watch mma.
The fact that the "Ultimate Trash Talk" compilation has 5M views and this has 23M views still gives me a shred of hope in humanity.
trash talk is a must thing before the match to create a serious hype by UFC intentionally to fetch more n more advertisers ... UFC make money players make money ... Simple .... its just a business everybody make money at the end of the day ....
@Danil Korochenskiy it depeends on the trashtalkers.. some fighters use it as a tool to break their opponent mentaly, and not just for views. and those kind of people i don't respect much, not good sportmanship.
Well trash talk is a common thing in UFC... Not respectful moment
@@peopleschampion9828 not really maybe in the big fights but it’s mostly respect after the fight
Is there any freaking thing to associate with humanity here dude?
The end of Izzy vs Anderson was bone chilling to me. Made me realize that heroes get old. The bow at the end was literally watching one generation pass the torch to the next and I will never forget it.

that man that stopped his punch is the definition of mutual respect and restraint (Lyoto Machida)
Lyoto Machida, from the north of Brazil.
anime king his name is lyoto machida put some respect on his name
I truly think the best parts was either the restraint after the fight was observed to be over, as well as the show of true respect at the end, with the two warriors kowtowing each other at basically the exact same time in appreciation for the match.
Though it is good sportsmanship, I'm pretty sure they're good friends so it's less surprising that they'd show respect for each other than some of the others in the video
Machida does that with all his opponents though, he is the oppidomy of class act. MMA is like a very respectful chess match for him. These are the moments that make MMA the greatest.
16:07 I just noticed for the first time that Izzy was crying when he bowed to Silva here. And Silva was telling him to get up much the same way that Nick Diaz told Silva to get up when Silva beat him. So much respect
That's why I love that moment so much
Bro that's awesome I didn't even realise that. I mean, it feels like right out of a movie.
Wow man that gave me some major goosebumps

Silva was like a childhood hero to him he said it himself
I still tear up when I see Silva and Adesanya. It’s almost like a fighter version of father and son. Mentor and mentee. The student becomes the master. Not only inspiring, also very heartwarming.

3:50, i enjoyed seeing this guy's restraint, honor and integrity as much as i enjoyed the post fight of Habib and Dustin. it might feel good to trash talk and raise the stakes, but it feels so much better when two fighters respect each other and create a heartwarming and exciting moment !
Lyoto Machida, one of the most entertaining fighters in LHW.
“This guy” that lyoto machida dude a legend of the sport and that was a close friend of his Mark Munoz
dorood
Hes asian and understands that martial arts is about respect, honor, and control. Giving someone a beating when they're down has no honor or respect in it
The bow at the end to his friend was a really really really nice gesture. A worthy opponent for sure in mark, he just got caught lacking and it happens to everyone in this sport. Love the restraint of not hammering Mark while he was down, I love that Lyoto didn’t want to do that to his friend.

As an MMA fighter this is what it's all about. My last fight in Clarksville Tennessee a smaller promotion didn't have the pre fight promotion but I didn't know anything about my opponent but his wife couldn't make the show and he said she wanted to see who he was fighting so we did a little face off picture for her. Then after I won we sent her one mutually congratulating the other for a good fight
@David Russell that's what martial arts is all about, respect and improvement.
That's very wholesome
I love this
Lyoto Machida is without a doubt my favourite fighter ever. Never hits anyone he doesn't have to and always shows respect.
There is nothing more satisfying than sportsmanship in fighting. Just something about watching people trying to knock each other out, then hugging it out after the fight, it's just beautiful. They fight for pride, they fight for their families, but when they set their own glory aside to show respect for the other fighter, it makes it more fun to watch.
Stop kidding yourself they fight for money and fame...most of them at least...

The best and most underrated part of the sport. Seeing two warriors give each other kindness and respect after just exchanging in a physical war is an excellent example of the honor prevalent in the sport. These moments in seem to mean more in MMA than any other sport I think. The handshakes/hugs seem to just be treated as a formality in other sports.
Lyoto’s father owned a dojo in Brazil, he was a monster who went against his fathers wishes while still bringing honor to his art and family a true class act.
