If you are not referring to the UFC, I have to go with the old backyard fist-fights in Florida that Kimbo Slice and Jorge Masvidal used to do. “Money talks” I believe is what they called that CZcams channel.
DJ definitely made the right move. He's at a weightclass that ages notoriously fast and he was over 30 at that time. He wanted to make enough money for him and his family to live comfortably well after he finished fighting and One offered him that opportunity.
I also agree that the lighter weight fighters don't get the same respect from the American fan base in particular, which is a shame. I personally enjoy the more technical style and the truly suprise knockouts. I feel like those fights are less predictable.
I was certain DC was on that list for when he joined the UFC against Cain, but declined cause of their friendship. Guess they never oficially offered it to him, right?
Yeah, he made it clear when he signed that he wasn't going to fight Cain even if they offered both of them a shitload of cash.
It sucks because Cain spent the vast majority of that time out with injuries and DC spend his physical prime fighting at LHW, which wasn't his optimal weight class.

Outside Amanda i think GDR could've beaten Cyborg so maybe the truth is aforementiones plus Cyborg got a potential suspencion from USADA at that time (she wasn't). Or maybe she was really scared. Cyborg was the most feared women's fighter until that point - even after her loss to Amanda i would say Cyborg's reputation she build prior that would overshadow Amanda's image forever (not actual success), like Mike Tyson's reputation for example. So Cyborg's berserker aura could've possibly put seeds of doubt in GDR's mind.

Ufc 267 for example - after Yan/Cory fight i was bored by the temp Glover and Jan put. Not talking about fight quality but just the pace the bantamweights pushed. It's not fair but i am just amazed by the speed of the lighter weight classes.
