So after he gets what he wants "goal" he completely let's that go and trys to get "more", thats y even now when he doesn't need to fight he does, because he needs that validation he already got what he has, more is better. Fully agree. He is definitely worthy of criticism though. DC cried for years about Jon Jones and eye pokes, when he destroyed Stipes eyes in the 1st fight.
All that said, it is water under the bridge, he's a fantastic ambassador for the sport and a fantastic commentator, and those that genuinely hate him are sad Jon Jones fans.

@@aeromanjitha Yeah I'm not the biggest fan of Tony but he definitely got shafted. The man deserved his shot at the title, and the fact he wasn't promoted to undisputed champ when he was the interim champion was very unfortunate. The UFC was drooling too much over Conor to care about fairness.
Tony has some of the most loyal fans in the sport though, even on a three-fight skid the fans are still with him. That's something at least, Tony time was great while it lasted. I can't say the same for Jacare though, even though he's also a fan favourite only the hard-core fans give a shit about him.

Sherdog is such a cesspool for hate on fighters, but the night Ronda lost I've never seen any internet community so insanely happy. Literally EVERY thread created was a gush of emotion on how happy the author was that she lost. No one is rivaled for hate as much as Ronda.
It was WELL DESERVED. The way she snapped Mieshe's elbow would make you think Pallahares was in her corner.

Not really. She wasn't really someone people cared as champ, and her title reign wasn't that long to gain hate. She was more on the "whatever" side. She didn't get any fans after pulling out of the Bullet fight, but not enough to be hated as GDR was

Honestly if you're actually mad that Jones is taking his time to move up to heavyweight (which is a 60lbs jump vs 10-20lbs for every other class) you don't understand anything about sports performance or fighting.
It takes a while lotta time to put on muscle vs fat and unless you want to kill your conditioning and speed you need to do it very gradually
