Really enjoying this rambly serialized content. I still want to see your larger projects, but this is something I'm just as happy to see between releases. 4:00 Hot take: Villagers are only "OP" because it's the only non-exploitative method the player has to reliably collect more than one block at a time, and doing the same thing for literal real-life days is not an engaging game mechanic. Neither is villager trading, but it's better than the alternative.
The community is so used to the grind being gospel that anything that isn't a grind is "broken."
i agree with most of this, but i would still call villager trading broken. because comparing getting the diamonds you need, the levels, the enchanting table and enchanting that gear, is more time consuming than just giving them bread for pretty gems for ten minutes and unlocking free enchanted diamond loot. it truly is too easy.
i’d say the thing that keeps me from utilizing villagers in most of my worlds is just because i hate dealing with them 😂

Being able to trade for diamond gear and enchantments takes away the endless RNG-based grind.
Why do the repetitive mining if you can get the late game gear from a couple of villagers and go do something you actually want to do?
I have a few suggestions, the main one being how to handle the string duper overflow. The block-up is because the hopper can only transfer one item at a time into the storage it's attached to, so you should be able to double that output rate by putting another hopper under the first. If I recall right, once the lower hopper/hoppers are full, they should alternate between pulling materials from above and depositing them into their target every 4 ticks.
By nesting a lot of hoppers and double chests in layers while using this, you should be able to make a whole system that'll pull all the string down into one chest. You can nest them pretty easily by just having a hopper or two under a double chest, pointing into another double chest. I like to make stairs like that out of double chests, with everything flowing into the lowest chests.
My other suggestion: You can save yourself the effort of needing to make food for your breeder side if you set up a farm/farmer. They'll farm food and distribute it automatically, completely automating the breeding process for you.

If you want to move villagers in boats instead of slowly boating with them, just sprint hit the boat to knock it away. Also works with 2 villagers in the boat.
The string duper is transportable. Minecarts are peak efficiency. When villagers are zombified, they can despawn. Good vid, goodnight.
Don’t need a hopper minecart line for your string. Just make a water line. Go Down one block every 7 blocks and everything will continue to flow. You should have enough height to get that far to have all your string get to a storage system next to your fletchers.

For something you just kinda started as an experiment I gotta say its a big hit with me. More vids and these vids are actually a lot of fun to watch
You should consider making a voidless void trader. Basically, how it works is you have a really long railway and a villager at an endpoint of the railway, or one each at both ends. Then, you just have to press a button to start going in the opposite direction of the villager and enter their ui so then you can trade with them at the end of the railway. This makes it so you can infinitely trade with the villager. Also, I don’t know why it does this but for some reason every time you trade, all prices get decreased by 1. You should look up the ianxofour tutorial on it as he goes more in depth on it. Loving the new series man ❤

Just thought of a rule for the end, u can be there as long as u like, but u can only be there if theres a block over ur head
I would use a chest minecart, it can hold way more items at a time and you can feed multiple hoppers into it.
You can also make a row of hoppers multiple hoppers to pick up the string rather than just one so it doesn’t get backed up.
I love the series though
If you're afraid of hitting villagers in boats, just turn on hitboxes, and you'll never hit a mob in a boat or minecart ever again.

to move villagers upstairs, you can just make water flow down and ride up the water in a boat. you don’t need rails necessarily

Maybe check out Ilmangos minecart yeeter where he basically breaks a full hopper cart with a lava cauldron and some easy rail tricks (it unloads all of the stacks right into a water stream you can capture easier with hoppers)
Use water to transport the strings from the string duper to chests close to the trading hall,
For the string duper, ensure the water flows to one direction

Juice, how bout just building the duper near the storage hall, win win, yes gotta do a bit of mining, but its easy to setup and you could use the other room for something else
Not sure if you knew this but Fishermen buy string as a first level trade, so there's no need to sell sticks or anything else to level them up to buy string. The only downside to them is their base price for string is 20 as opposed to 14 with a fletcher, but I find it to be a way easier trade than dealing with fletchers.
Make a long water stream from the string duper to the trading hall and keep adding chests. It costs no iron and barely any resources to make a mega long river transport.
this trade hall is huge, and you're planning to make them even bigger which is so wild! also I think you said throw golden apples? so be sure not to throw golden apples like you do bread when trying to heal them after they're infected, you need to left click. wouldn't want 60 golden apples despawning and not getting used
You should name tag a zombie and lock it in place using trap doors and put it in a visible corridor with water running left to right/vice versa within the corridor, corridor should obvi be visible to the golems in the breeding hall, and it can potentially make and automatic iron farm
for the string duper you should put the hoppers where the water hits the wall and expand the chests and hoppers

Instead of minecarts, use water streams to transport your string. Water is free.

I'm astounded by the lack of dimwits... Or maybe he's doing away with them off camera ....
Also, for the string duper, you could try extending the stream so the water level doesn't keep the stacks in place and so the side source water block has more sway to pushing those stuck stacks into the hopper. You could potentially sacrifice a few iron ingots and make a second set of hoppers so you can collect into two or four chests. Had the same issues figuring out my cactus-bone meal farm and water harvested crop farms. They keep getting stuck in corners. Best bet is stretch out the water flow 2 blocks minimum.
You just made me realize: I don't recall the last time I bred a Nitwit in. I wonder if I've been really lucky in the past few years of playing, or if they can't be bred in anymore?
I love the series but I wish you did your trading hall with the villager trades in the center so you don’t have to walk around to the other side. Edit, I just realized he can very easily trade with them from the center but it still looks backwards to me.

You could just make a few dupers near the villagers so than you can just pick up the string when you’re near the trade hall
id say just get a stream of water to take the string down, just to save you the effort taking them down and stop string getting caught

Try to use them for your storage, they are really easy to set up and for them to transfer, all you need is to put it over the chest and have it start transferring."

I think a minecart with a hopper is going to pick it quicker than just a hopper

Sheep and goats despawn when you are too far so the goats probably didn't kill the sheep. Next time feed the animals at least once to avoid them despawning.
