That happened to me when I was a little kid! We were out in the smoky mountains and a red Wolf came out to our car. It was scrawny and looked like it hadn’t eaten in weeks. we gave it the rest of our pop tarts. It looks so happy to have food. It’s my fondest memory from when I was a kid and this is the reason they are my favorite animal now.

They’ve been helping us for thousands of years and vice versa. Cats are relatively newer than dogs in terms of domestication and they’re barely domesticated. Cats are basically still wild animals and are fully capable of taking care of themselves.
