The second day of our JohnnyJigs private charter on the American Patriot trip was absolutely amazing. Chris landed a 40 pound wahoo on a slow pitch jig, Eddie celebrated his birthday, and Johnny puts a big queen snapper on the deck. In this video we talk about what slow pitch jigging gear you should bring on a trip like this. Also we hit the scales to see who caught the largest snapper, grouper, and largest fish of all. The results may surprise you. All in all this was another successful slow pitch jigging adventure.

Love the 300J.....I have two of the JL (lefty) versions. Use them from 500' to 1000'+ usually with 20 Berkley X-9.

How many lbs of fish does the average angler take home after one of these long range trips?
It really depends on the angler. I would say 100-200 pounds pre fillet. Every trip is different. My fish is already gone from this trip except for one Yelloweye fillet. It goes fast between friends and family.
