I could practice guitar all day, every day for 612 years, and I'd still end up being half that good. Guitar effects normally drive me nuts, but he used them so creatively.
A remarkable trio. I saw them once OPEN for Bassekou Kouyate & Ngoni Ba. I thought they were going to be the headliner. As probably happens with a trio like this, who just show up and start playing without much of a plan, they were not really on top of their game that night. But Bassekou Kouyate & Ngoni Ba ROCKED THE JOINT.
