I would just like to point out that everything DSP is listing as an improvement to his streams has either been donated or the labor is performed by someone else. How in anyway is this entertainment? If your audience has to "tough out the hard times" why would they even watch in the first place?
Even then, the "improvements" are the bare minimum he can do to make his streams better. He needs to learn that he has to change, and no amount of better tech will hide your insufferable personality.

A vacation to ANYWHERE is the kind of thing you should be able to plan, save for, and go on in 1-year's time... 2, MAX. You cannot make your wife wait for YEARS and YEARS, take her on a single vacation and think that makes up for all the years where you did nothing. That's what most would call "too little, too late". And the mentality that DSP has is the kind of mentality that leads to dissatisfaction and divorce.
Being a streamer is LITERALLY one of the only jobs ON THE ENTIRE PLANET that affords you the time/freedom of schedule to take a vacation whenever you want. If he can't find the time to take Kat to Japan, it's only because he doesn't want to. What's more, he could even go on vacation and record a couple of videos or do an IRL stream from Japan... Which folks might actually want to see & support. So there's really just no excuse.

Wait I thought he was living his best life and happy but now he's saying him being stuck in a room for 6 days (his own doing) is miserable. Also while sandwich analogies are the norm here (and I love them) I thought of an analogy involving a toy shop. Say you own a toy store and sell toys to kids and you've been doing well but then a brand new toy comes out that is all the rage and every kid wants it. They go to your store but you didn't stock them and so they go elsewhere that carries them. Eventually, months or years later, you stock them. Sure they might sell a bit but nowhere near that initial period it was a hot item so too little too late and that's your fault. You don't to complain you did what they asked that late.
If Kat had any sense she'd do the same if Phil could finally do a honeymoon say 5 years from now. You think she's going to enjoy that as much? There is absolutely no LRE among those two, or any relationship energy for that matter.
I think Phil really thinks if you didn't suffer in some way for success it was you taking an easy way out. I think he's addicted to being pitied.
