Since there seems to be quite a bit of interest in the truck, I have decided to continue to make and post videos about it, as well as the other vehicles that I own. ThatV8Ranger we had 98 single cab flare side bed with 99 explorer 5.0 that was stroked to 342. It had 3.73s and we swapped it to 3.27s and it was actually quicker in the quarter because it was easier to hook up

That’s fair, I myself wouldn’t go wrong with a 2500 or 3500(250, 350). But I do like my 03 ranger xlt. Especially when I got a similar conversion planned for it.

Haha awesome. Danger Ranger power! I bought mine built a few years back. 1993 swapped with a built 355 Chevy small block and a k-5 blazer chassis. Solid axel swapped front and rear. Sitting on 36 inch tires.
I dont care for the rangers, unless they’re the “edge” model. Just like the s-10, i dont care for them unless its the “xtreme” i love these body styles!
JIMBO SLICE it’d be nice but you’d have to run it without ac I believe, the coyote is just too wide even the old 4.6 3v which is more narrow is challenging to fit in the engine bay
Beautiful truck. I want to swap my 05 Edge eventually. It's very similar to yours (blacked out, pioneer sound package, ext cab) just a styleside instead. Been following on Instagram for a bit as well.
One thing I highly recommend is to swap the mirrors with the 06+ mirrors with the color matching caps. I did that on my 03, wiring is super simple and they just look much better than those older, rounded style mirrors.
That's a beautiful lil truck! In 2003, I put a gt-40p in my 94'! Used a 5-speed manual from a 96' F-150 with the 4.9, lol talk about torque! Even with a 345 gear in the rear end I still had to pull out in 2nd! Lol Most fun I've ever had in a vehicle! Got injured in 2012 n ended up having to sell it to pay bills! Been disabled ever since n homeless til about 9 months ago. I know I'll never be able to build the 2000 I was able to acquire with the problems I have now, but maybe get lucky enough to buy one somehow. Lmao couldn't ride it like I did my last one though! Couldn't afford 2 tires every six weeks! Lol
You really have a good looking truck. I'd like how everything looks factory even the notch in the frame. I seen guys who have done that and when they were done welding it up I was wondering if they had even opened their eyes to watch what they were doing. My one friend paid some jackass to do his frame and after 6 months he finally gave it back to him and it was horrible. 2 weeks of driving it he called me up and asked if he could have his truck towed to my house I asked him why he told me that the plates that the guy welded in broke loose. I basically had to tear the back end of the truck completely apart and threw everything away and put better parts and a lot better welding and cutting. I do have to say on your truck I like that black outlook. After seeing that I might do that with my F-150 over the winter. I'm pulling my truck apart over the winter and hopefully by spring have it back out. Like I said after seeing how good your truck look with all that black is now making me think that's the way I want to go. I enjoyed your video I definitely hit the like and subscribe button That's the least I can do when someone shares their information.
@@ThatV8Ranger yeah if mine was on the road right now. Fuel pump quit on me a week ago and im upgrading to a walbro 255 and a return style fuel system. And I might get it tuned soon here.
My biggest question is do all of the gauges work? That would be my biggest pet peeve of a build of someone doesn’t get all of the gauges working like stock which I love! Thanks for the response! Nice truck!
I have a 99 Mazda b4000 that I did a 5.0 swap in with an explorer rearend for the disc brakes and 3.73 L/S. But I was wondering what tune do you have for the cam and also are you running a stock stall with that cam? Thank and it's a beautiful truck!!!
@@frenchfrysz6695 I was just talking about this the other day lol that 3.0L v6 was junk , no matter what you did to it you couldn't get good air flow and mpg. I have a Sierra now and I pay the same for fuel...
@@derrickfarrar5736 yea dude i was getting like 15 mpg in the thing! I couldnt get up and over a large hill without flooring the hell out of the poor thing lol I got a Silverado (4.8L) after that and I actually get better MPG by a little now haha
@@frenchfrysz6695 You guys got 15mpg in a 3.0 V6, I daily a 2005 Ram 2500 with the 5.7L and get on avg about 16mpg with all 8 cylinders going full time.
@@moreuggaduggas thats what I'm saying! Haha I mean I never had any reliablility issues with that engine, just horrible on gas, and anemic on the power too lol I'm glad my Silverado is pre D.O.D. too

I have a 2000 explorer that I’m turning into a street rig kind of sort of like yours. Will 04 and up gauges from a ranger work in my set up?
The front is so low I have an 05 with torsion bar front suspension and i want it lower is it just the keys that made it that low?
