I'm 30 yrs old and I grew up religiously watched these shows on Saturday and Sunday mornings
Word. PowerNation (Formerly PowerBlock TV) had a profound impact on my life, introduced me to a fun way of learning, and a passion in blue printing engines.
@@srirachasauce8430 When I was a kid I started watching them out of boredom and it ended up sparking a huge interest in cars, motors, basically anything mechanical!
It really shaped my young adult years for the better 👍👍
Edit: my kids think it's crazy that there was a time when there was only 40 channels and you couldn't pick what was on any of them lol so sometimes you watched something you didn't want to just to watch TV
😆😆😆
Same here, already loved cars so these shows are a dream to watch. Anything cars related im watching.
Same here man!
The Copperhead C10 was my favorite build.
I miss watching these shows saturday mornings. One of the reasons why I got into vehicles. Funny how he now works for Eastwood after advertising for them for years.
I just started my channel where I take trucks to the mountains and bag on em. Hoping to make some folks laugh.
Those rain scenes were awesome!
They finally used a ford modular engine on power nation!
This build happened years ago
I think this series is almost 10 years old now.
@@cpmxxx86 yea 2010 is the original run date, makes me feel old.....
@@michag4337 man I miss the early 2000’s so much
I would love to see Randy Probst drive this thing :))))
cool history to learn bobby alison was my great uncle so its always nice to learn some family history
This channel is more heavy than a Ronnie Coleman´s old school gym training session.
Niiice 👍🏼. I like your style sir
I remember this little ranger. It's got a fleece material front bumper 🤣👍🏻🤘🏻
I love those little step sides. I had one i drove while I was going through nursing school and tinkered on it all the time. I would love to have one built like that one! Good job guys!
Great build! I'm looking forward to the Viper Dakota r/t. 😊
they did one? that would kick.
Geez I want his truck!!
The front wheels moved forward makes the truck look much better from the side view. Have a nice day all. CHEERS from AUSTRALIA.
Pretty decent on the heel-toe action👍
600 horsepower, here I am thinking I’m going fast with my stock 3.0, lol
Now I really can't wait to get my 73 Chevy Luv up to par
Thanks for givin the Volunteers a Shot! 👍
Muy favorite project in this channel!!!
What an awesome time at the track!!!
And the driving was really quick!!! Amazing!! Was scared with all those walls 😬
Thanks a lot for this series and program. Really interesting and entertaining. Jeep tour great work. A Hug and kudos to everyone involved in this show!!!!
What a fun little truck
Those 4.6 mod motors sound amazing. Maybe I’m biased because I have a 2004 Mach 1. The forced induction just makes it sound even better!!!!!!!
Absolutely love this. if only we could get this legal in Aus. well done to all involved.
Truck turned out SICK!
This is awesome 👍🏾👍🏾
Those tires definitely are great in the rain!
That is a sweet little truck
Great episode.
Very cool series! I enjoyed it a lot. I would have used lighter rims and stickier tires, but that's OK. Tire wear number as close to 200 as possible.
Serious cooling mods are going to be needed if this thing is going to do much road race type track events.
1. Serious hood vents(not hood scoop), A GT500 hood vent(or similar) might work.
2. Finish boxing in the rad, don't let any air cheat the system by going around the rad.
3. Install a deep wide lower air dam, directly under the rad. Fab from a roll of landscaping separation plastic. The lower the air pressure under the hood(engine bay behind the rad), the easier it is for air to go through the rad, so more air goes through, removing more BTUs of heat.
4. If you are in a southern location without much risk of freezing, run 80% bottled filtered drinking water and 20% antifreeze plus Purple Ice. Water transfers heat way better than antifreeze does.
Awesome...slap on some slick and take it down the quarter!
I really like this one.
I wish you guys would have had more in truck audio of the engine so we could experience what it was like in the cab as if we were riding along. Major oversight if you ask me.
Love that paint job. My F150 is naturally that shade.
Love this series, I'd love to see a s10 or dakota build next 👍
Hell yeah!!
Nice truck!
Got to say I’m going to miss the Mazda Build keep up the good work boys
Those are actually great tires for heavy rain.
They sure are.
Cool truck!!!
on such a wheelbarrow to dissect just a pleasure like bro
That thing is sick
Man I love these episodes! I grew up watching the shows on Spike TV EVERY weekend! Only gripe I have is the super cheesy fake reaction dialogue put through that post production “radio chatter” voice filter compared to the actual microphone audio in their helmets, like at 11:20. Still enjoy the show, keep these episodes coming! Much love from Texas!
great build... what a powerhouse! for the hot running 1 put in the highest pressure radiator cap you can buy
2 go with a waterless coolant
3 cut a big hole in the hood and add a hood scoop which might not help much but it would look cool... of course this is all for nothing since that motor is gone and replaced with an LS
One of my favorite Ford builds all time! I used to watch you guys every Saturday on cable, decades ago! Is there anyway I could take care of that Ranger when you're done with her? I have a 2006 Mercury I'm making into a track sleeper daily. BIG OLE Panther platforms have a 50/50 balance fun fact! Wel I'd love to have this truck and if you need a 4door couch to test a Godzilla Ford my car would be perfect 👨🔧🏁🏆js 🙏
good luck 👍
BADASS!!
Nice truck, a long way from stock. Were will this one end up ?
Increase the oil pan by 1-2 more quarts and/or same for radiator?!
Seems a running race or drag race is in order for the pickup and the mustang!! Hinting loudly?
Where is the truck now?
It has a Chevy engine now , LS1 is where that truck went
That Mazda Ranger turned out to be a fun little toy. I wonder what they did with it?
That's one fast Mazda
I'd like to know where in Canada he was driving like that on a frozen lake.
Sounds like my 03 cobra 😍
must be nice to buy out a track like that for a day
Amen
How can I get my 95 ranger this way.
Yep, I have the same year. We can only dream.....$$$.
Is this ranger still around or has it been Crushed?
Um you put that inboard brake pad in backwards!
This could give a Ferrari F-40 a good run for its money! Line up and run em!
Love the side mirrors!!! Couldnt have gotten splash mirrors? Would have looked alot better than those 15 dollar Advance mirrors you stuck on it!!!
I’m putting a 07 2.3MZR in my 05 STX because I already have the 2.3 from my speed3.
What Brand Tire and sizes were those?
Why would the tail "wag" more with wider tire? Wouldn't you have less "wag" due to better traction?
Is there a way, in that extremely tight engine bay, to increase cooling for engine? How many laps before she got warm?
Jeff Allen hood and fender vents too probably
All that work should address the coming issues
I would love to you guy do a 1963- 1964 Buick 401
Now thats a lot of rain on the track...should of had paddles..lol
Wait....if it's a manual why wasn't he pushing in the clutch when braking? Wouldn't he have stalled it?
No that would be gas and brake together to stall out... What you saw him doing i called heal toe... Pushing the brakes using the ball of his foot and using the heel of same foot to blip the throttle to rev-match gears
where did you got the grill from
Is this truck for sale?
Do you guys have that truck for sale?
Specs on setup?
So was the hot engine an issue to address? Better coolant or bigger radiator and cooling fans?
the thing is that really any engine is going to need some cool down time after laps, but i agree i bet they didn’t tell us because it was getting hot fast
@@johnclark6139 Especially with a roots blower and an engine bay with no real way to vent off heat. They spent all the time putting brake cooling ducts in but then left the engine bay basically sealed shut.
2 years.. now I don't feel so bad
Anyone know what happened to this truck?
That's beautiful but I'd get some pin striping on those stripe edges.
Good god those stripes on the fender look horrible
Would REALLLY love to do this with a 1st Gen D-50/Mighty Max. Mebbe 86-ish with the 4 headlights. Such a nice looking mini truck and be fun as hell to run hard with.
Be a bit more of a challenge, methinks...can't just swap in Mustang parts and call it good. = (
I can't believe power nation doesn't use the thousands of k20s k24s and 4G63s on eBay that are around a 1000 bucks and bulletproof
The rolling thunder emblem would have looked way better as a gloss black vinyl
Jack Hidley and the rest of us on Corner-Carvers.com* Yeah, T remember you guys on there trying to get the cobra IRS sorted out.
I would have painted the tonneau cover. 99% Awesome ain't bad.
Yea you gone slap a quick truck's plate....people don't know you...lmao
When GMC came out with the Syclone, Ford should have answered back with a 5.0 Ranger. When GMC took it out of production Ford could have easily continued optioning the 5.0 for the Ranger and in later years option it with the 4.6 2v.
Awe damn!! I thought they were bringing it to the drag strip 😩
Did not expect you to shake hands with the medical personnel.
This was 10 years ago.
I’m currently in search of either a Ranger body or an S-10 body, I have a built 302 with a C-6 that needs a home.
Love how they’re showing the fairgrounds some love with all the crap going on with it and the soccer stadium
Any car? 🧐 I bet someone had brought a minivan
Its a mini lightning.call it spark😂
Beautiful truck but if it had a vented hood and adjustable wing it would be even better.
Damn, I wish I had the resources to do the same with my 2nd Gen Sonoma.
That being said, as a GM fan that always liked the Ranger, I wonder if Power Nation has any plans for the New Ranger?
I live not even 15 mins with traffic from the fairgrounds.
Do you have thousands of dollars to rent the track for a completely useless truck so you can pretend you didn't waste a ton of money for no reason other than to make a vid?
Well at least if you bend it Kevin you know how to fix it.
Two and a half years
Sounds close. And for most guys who have commitments that may only let them work nights or weekends that's about how long it would take to build if you build it yourself.
😁✌🖖👌👍😎 very cool
Someone in these comments please help me out. I recently put a front disc conversion kit from speedway on my 68 c10 it has power booster new master cylinder and prop valve as well as new lines for the fronts. I put new lines going from the rear junction box to the rear wheel cylinders but I can't get fluid to my rear drums. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
Bench bleed master cylinder?
If air in master it will not build pressure and will not push to rear. I never bench bled one but have heard can cause issues. Or kinked line. Maybe dirt in line.
@@eaglethehulk8539 there's only one line that hasn't been replaced. I know it is possible that it could be the culprit, and it would be my luck. I did bench bleed the MC before placing it on the truck though.
@@NewBeginningNewCreation it took me almost a year of driving my 81 off and on before I saw fluid at my rear driver side caliper. I disconnected line from caliper and kept pumping and refilling master and it finally showed up. I did not bench bleed and it somehow just worked out lol. I think there may have been dirt in line as well and I got it out with metal clothes hanger. Was a few years ago not sure.
@@eaglethehulk8539 that's crazy your brakes must have been really nice
Key thing was completely missed. How did you shoehorn a 4.6L V8 into a ranger.
LIKE!
ditch the stripes lol.... besides that cool build
