Show I remember watching as if yesterday: "1995 ranger, less than ten years old."
Me: Good Lord I'm old now. When the hell did that happen?
It sneaks up on ya doesn't it?
I LOVE PRE RUNNERS!!!! I MISSS MY FORD RANGER. ANOTHER PROJECT TO CONSIDER FOR THE FUTURE. THANKS FOR SHARING!!!!
WOW! Classic Trucks!! I watched this build when it was new episodes on TV as a kid.
Steak for breakfast and Trucks! from when Stacy David was on that show.... that's a good start to a Sunday
Hey!
And Freiburger actually had hair too once!
And it's ginger!
Totally threw me off to see him with hair 😂😂😂
Haha I was looking away from the screen when he started talking and recognized his voice. Then it took me a second to realize that was actually him because I wouldn't just look at the name on screen like a normal person hahaha.
Had a 96 red Ranger in high school when I saw this show on TV. I was hooked ever since. Loved Trucks! and Stacy David.
Really looking forward to part 2 and probably 3, 4, 5...
I think this build was only 3 parts if I remember it right
@@joshlawrence4512 3 then.
Its weird seeing Freiburgar with hair
Man how old was that clip with David freiburger. He looked so young
2005
@@goat4298 I bet he was wearing flip flops too
This wasn't that long ago , some people just age more rapidly than others .
I mean he said " blah blah blah this late model truck, i say that cause it's 10 years old" it's a 95, so if say 16 years ago.... 2005
2000
This was from back when you used to wake up and watch Saturday Morning TV. Commercials every 3 mins! Man those were the days!
a young freiburger (before the roadkill seris)
Wow what’s crazy is seeing a young David Freiburger. Same guy from Road Kill and all over Motor Trend channel now. He’s so young and apparently a bystander at the time.
"That's pretty big for a Ranger."
Me laughing in 35s 🤣
Wholly crap ! That was a young frieburger , lol .

FREIBURGER
I’m restoring a 1970 Chevy truck myself. Dig the content!
Ironically I am looking to put fiberglass fenders on my F150. For a couple reasons...A, looks since let's face it, fiberglass gives a whole different attitude to a truck. B, durability. I live in PA and my fenders have developed so much rust in certain areas, it is not cost effective to fix it. Spending extra money on fiberglass replacements will be better than spending all the materials to fix the metal.
Same here Dustin, Happen to be building a hotrod '97 Ranger long bed for year round use. V8 already in and running. Clean truck but the bedsides are chewed up from OH winters. Would be a cool year round look on my 3/2 lowered Ranger. Digs for the winter and cheater slicks for the summer. I'm trying to find them elsewhere, fabtech no longer offers them.
@@Mrnicguy00 did you have any luck finding fender flares?
@@jondagel3249 nope, I'm gonna fab my own.
Ha! I used to have a 1995 Ranger Super with the extended cab long bed and it had a 4.0L OHV with the 4R55E auto. I paid $500 for it with 134k miles on it and it ran perfectly. I really liked that little truck.
NOT THE BAD TO THE BONE RIFF 😭
So much Dutch angle in the intro to the show segment it gave me a craving for chocolate.
When taking off the headlights, make sure You keep the blinker fluid
Looks a lot like my first truck. That was such a long time ago. I had a 2001 XLT 2wd like this.
In high school I had a '95 regular cab XL with a 4.0 and 5-speed, red like this truck too. I loved that truck!
@@JonO387 but like everything in the snow belt salt rotted the body and frame. No matter how hard we try salt trashes cars eventually.
@@bmstylee not when u live where there is no salt on the roads aka texas
@@haydenreyes4621 true. What about by the gulf? Not snow but definitely salty air at time from the ocean. Short of Arizona, New Mexico, and parts of the Midwest rust is an unfortunate part of life.
I know this truck i aint no stranger i know that truck thats a FORD FKN RANGER
The truck is 1995 and he just said it's less than 10 years so that means this episode was videotaped somewhere back in 2005 maybe 2002
Holy throwback Batman
Always loved this episode, pissed i never saw the payoff
We all are
watched this show religiously, was there ever a final episode once it was complete? also, was this just a 2 wheel drive? had to be v6 at least
@@jeffsheppard_actor no pay off Stacy took a job at a tech school so he was working out the rest of his contract. V6 2 wheel drive ranger.
@@reynoldsreynolds4394 thought they never showed a payoff, wasn't sure why, thanks
First let me start by saying, I love trucks and Stacey. Best show to ever be on powerblock and a major part of my youth. That being said shows like this need to not leave things out especially when things get difficult because guys starting out are going to run into this. First thing of two was when they found out that other bedside was glued on showing how they got it off and was the other bedside savable after getting it off. The second thing was he said install the gas filler neck well one was there a provision for it in the bedside and two was a 3-in bulge did it reach the bedside. Other than that shows like this are great.
What a difference replacing a little under 50 percent of a trucks sheet metal makes 😃
...good one, looks bada**...lol..stay safe...
I didn't expect to see David Freiburger in this. Then again, I didn't know the Freiburger then, that I know now.
i would love to see if they could do a convetred truck rv build like a old military 6x6 built to be a offroad rv and self sustainabul.
@gunpowder&gasoline I own A 2004 ranger that I bought new. 580,000mi and the engine just took a shit. I’m going to do this now🏁👍
I think I'm gonna have to do this build or something similar
Oh. MY GODS! Freiburger?! Jesus he looks so much different than on Roadkill!
Hah, took me a moment :D "He's voice and name sounds familiar and also looks familiar...oh wait!"
I remember recording this back in high school and had a 94 mazda b3000 an was hell bent on doing this to it
Have a 96 STX ranger v6 stick shift that I am working on for the same reason
aluminum rivets + steel body panel = RUST! Basic chemistry.
Are there anymore episodes of this truck I would love to see more
No one in SoCal paints those fenders.
Good old Stacey David with his bell top mullet, and how about seeing David Freiburger with ANY hair? Also, who actually called the 800 number to buy a VHS copy of the show?
Haha bet the warranty people still call to tell ya your warranty has expired!
FREIBURGER!!!!!!!!
Hi I would like to know where did you bought the suspension kit
You know he didn’t want to say jerry rigged!
donde compro ese kit?? where do I buy that kit?
He makes the name Stacy seem pretty manly
passed. Means vhs copy?
💐💐💐💐
trying to locate this kit can someone help ????
At the end of the video says 2002.
It sucks when they put one show out
Always loved this episode, pissed i never saw the payoff
@@OFChuck I don't think there ever was?
When was this even filmed I get so confused
2005
Back in the 90s, I can tell by the hair styles
2000
Porqué todo tiene que ser 4X4?. 🤔
Back when trucks were cheap........er
"The aluminum won't rust"
..... Boi.... The bed is steel, you said so yourself. Have you ever heard of dissimilar metal rusting?
What would be a good alternative
@@carterwiltbank416 use steel rivets, not aluminum. You could also bond them with adhesive. There is an adhesive specifically for bonding carbon fiber to metal but I don't remember what it's called. Also, you can simply use bolts/screws and nuts. You simply put the nuts on the outside (so they're hidden under the fenders) and it can look just as good.
This was literally one of the worst series on tv, show me how to do things half assed with minimal information and put it on TV and call it informational, glad the whole power block series is long gone, how does this guy fake
Giggle so much?! How do I do this on a budget again with all the special tools?
mexicans don't like ford for some reason
