The tube you pointed to is the air bleed tube, the coolant goes in the bottom of the radiator.

The mechanic cracked my valve cover. I found the crack right where you said it would be in your videos and fixed it in the way you described. Thankyou Anthony

When I used to work at Toyota I found a good way of putting coolant in was fill reservoir to top put the cap back on then take the small hose off radiator then put some air into the bottle to push coolant through when it starts to come out the top of radiator port you know it's full and then test drive to bleed the rest of the way. Never had a problem in the years I did that

I love the thoroughness of your work Anthony. You know your stuff, but above all, you are a mechanic that really cares about his work and his customers' vehicles.
And that, sadly, is all too rare these days.....
Really enjoy the videos, keep up the good work, you will never be short of customers in your workshop when you treat them and their vehicles this way........

Thanks for this Anthony. After faffing about bleeding the coolant on "another brand of vehicle" (rhymes with band mower) at the weekend, I'm so happy to see how simple and logical it is on the Prado.

I'd say it's not that difficult on either, just takes time and knowledge

I was beginning to think that I'm the only mechanic who goes the extra time to make certain it's all done properly. It gets annoying explaining why vehicles require more than just an oil change, even have people telling me I'm doing too much and just need to minor services. Fact is, those terms are just not used anymore until the vehicle is brought back to where it should be, then it's just oil and filter.

Hi this is ryan from PH, i’m planning to have my coolant change and i will try do it my self. I would just like to ask how did you open the plastic plug above the radiator? Do you need a sealant to put it back on or just plug it back.

hi Even doing after 3x cooling flush drain /fill repeat [with demineralised water ] . I found filling and dropping fluid was ineffective from idling . I road tested at 2nd and 3rd time flush with far better results .
Refilling took 3 heat cooling driving cycles to have the level stabilize .
Small Top hose is to bleed air from radiator and 2ndly to allow flow -- similar design remote reservoir system fitted to many vehicles.
....nb always found Toyota fluid thats not changed leaves deposits inside hoses mainly the early glycol stuff but OATS coolant dunno . Old oats coolant can deteriorate engine parts . OATS was a first used wildly by GM .

Small top hose for air bleeding of the radiator right? Is it the one connected to the coolant reservoir, or the other one connected to radiator? Your response is much appreciated sir thanks

@@Fourby4Diesel How much? The engine noise was so loud could not hear your voice. Other videos say maybe 6 L, others recommend 7. Official website says its 9-10 litres but seems its impossible to empty it all out.

terlalu tinggi air di reservoir, harusnya hanya sampai tanda "F".
