Great video. This 360 camera and mount and audio setup works magic
Thank you. Really appreciate the feedback
Safe driving Chris, take care.
Thank you:)
Man this was so cool having the view as you rode the bike. Thanks for sharing your journey
Glad you enjoyed it
So happy for you Chris that you’re learning a healthier approach to life… Chillaxing, L O L. The new camera mount and info displayed on the bike trips is awesome. Keep them coming. Glad after your accident, you’re back on the bike… And displaying seasoned riding. And as your body does feel a little beat up after long days on the bike… More massages ha ha. oh wow oh wow that view 😎🇨🇦
More to come. Thanks for watching and commenting:)
I am not a motorcycle enthusiast, I rode them as a kid....still this was a really cool video! Thanks Chris!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Went up that same road when I was visting my ldr last December. Views of the city are amazing, and we ate at a restaurant (Mr A’s I think) later that evening, The views at night eating at Mr A’s overlooking Cebu City was amazing, wow! Good seeing you do your thing Chris, best wishes to you.
So cool and thanks for watching:)
Chris man, Great video. I think its one of your best. I'd like to see more of that ride n talk. I hate I'm not there. I'm seriously missing out. I'm still trying to get over my knee surgery. Long road. I hope you're around to go riding when I do my visit. Again. Great video. 👍🏻
I’ll be here brother. Hope you recover quickly and return soon:)
Almost bought the Himalayan in the states...settled for the VERSYS.....now in the Philippines I have a YAMAHA MIO GEAR....yes I know it's a scooter.....hey it was cheap
Versys is a phenomenal machine too. I’m hoping to pick up the 450 Himalayan this year
I had the RE 350 Classic Reborn in Thailand, great motor. I am currently riding a 411 Himalayan that I bought in Iowa and rode back to Mexico last July. Huge fan of Royal Enfield, and indeed, they are crushing it! 👍
Yes! Love my Hunter 350. Great bike. I'm hoping to pick up the 450 Himalayan this year
I had the 411 royal Himalayan and the Kawasaki Dominar 400 and to me there is no comparison the KAWASAKI is so much better.
Great vid!! One of my favorites. Here in the West it’s almost rude to honk under any circumstances, but there it’s a friendly reminder or a caution that you’re passing. It’s not considered rude at all and almost a polite gesture. It could make the difference between them sideswiping you. Just a couple light taps. The long drawn out horns mean the same as here in the West 😂
Yes exactly. I’m still adjusting to the horn edict:)
Great video Chris, that ride was crazy great information on what I can expect in the future.
Glad you enjoyed it!
More on your bike, and bikes in general please?
Your camera and gear too. Fascinating!
More to come!
Awesome video, love the camera setup!
Thanks!
Done travelled the whole country on two wheels early 2000's experience was great humbling and eye opening learned a lot about my culture.
Beautiful. Im really looking forward to my upcoming trip
Watching now CC. Cool video. Nice kit! Nice spot.
Awesome thank you!
Impressive video work and coverage while riding!
Thanks a lot! More to come:)
Nice footage brother, love the on screen data!
Thanks Scott. I love technology
Great job Chris.
Thank you:)
I acknowledge and appreciate your efforts 🙏🏼
I really appreciate that
Thank you for watching and commenting
Thanks for taking us on the ride with you Chris. Enjoyed it and your cam did a great job too. Your speed certainly seemed as if you were going around 35 mph and not the 20-25, what an illusion.
Glad you enjoyed it
Wow Chris. You're super high tech now. Love it
Yes. Really great to mess with the gear that I've had.:) Love technology
Cool view from behind your bike!
It sure is!:)
Thanks for the compass included for elevation 😊
You bet!
enjoy sir!!! 👍😎
Thank you:)
Enjoyed the ride along. Ride safely !
Thanks, will do!
Great bike ride 👍🏻
Thank you
Nice ride and view.
Thanks 👍
Love the overlays! What software do you use? I want to add that to my driving videos.
In the description is a link to my camera. Really amazing technology
Very nice Chris. When I extended the pole that came with the 360 the pole would bounce a lot. Yours is pretty stable. Curious what app you are using for the overlay. Also do you use just Google Maps? I tried to find a Garmin but could never find one in the Phil. Lastly, what happened to your left saddle bag?
The pole is still a little bouncy but the new motorcycle mount is stable. The overlay is the GPS remote. Yeah with google maps. I have a garmin too but can’t get the maps uploaded. Buddy is helping me with that. Just one pannier is offered by Royal Enfield with this back. Waiting for Givi to come out with a set
Excellent video! So helpful. You are providing such great service. How did you make the video?
Thank you so much. It’s a chore for sure
Take good care of your driving in your motorcycle.
Thank you. Will do
I just motorcycle 5500 km in 2 months in the Phillipines . No accidents , dogs, roosters, were the biggest issue, oh ya and a big ass Turkey .. Phillipine drivers are very obedient to the laws , compared to other Asian countries :)
Overall I found Phillipine riding quite mundane , u til you get into Negros and Panay and ride the mountain passes :)
Thanks man. I’m hearing most folks talk about the riding in Negros as some of the best if not the best scenic riding in the Philippines
Wow what a fun way to ride. you should do a video ride from surigao to enchanted river. for sure there are lots of beautiful view on the nature on top of the road.
Great idea!
Like your mirror mount positions, is that stock? New bike mount works/looks great! Thanks for the video, Chris...liked it a lot....Jim
They’re not the factory mirrors but Royal Enfield mirros
I’m looking forward to riding in the Philippines Chris. I was thinking of getting the Honda ADV160. Have you done any rides requiring a 350 or better?
I think the only time that’s an issue is in the Manila area. If you don’t plan on riding in Manila its a non issue
Great driving footage, Chris. Looks hairy in town but fun on the open road. You mentioned that you prefer to take taxis in town and that scooters are a little underpowered for out-of-town driving. Are scooters better for in-town driving or would you still opt for a taxi for reasons of convenience and/or not having to carry your helmet with you when you get off?
That is correct. I still prefer to not drive in the city for a lot of reasons but yeah, I think scooters in general are better in town.
Really outside of the Manila area I feel a scooter is pretty practical
Was just at a coffee shop on that road last month on my vist coming back from Balamban and all I could think was cant wait to ride this road on a bike. :) Definitely lots of twisties and gorgeous scenery. I'll be back in June for a month but only 3 years till I retire and counting down the days. :)
Really incredible road. Highly recommended it
take care; bro drive safe
Thank you and you too:)
Nice lil ride✌🏽I'm always impressed at how people can talk for extended periods 😄 Me not so much 😅
Same here!
Nice mountain road. No freeway/highway/city riding for me (ironically, I have stunt/precision driving/riding training among others so perhaps it's a curse that makes me be more conscious/wary about what could happen). I'll take a risk (with some healthy reservations) riding on country/provincial/local roads though. Nevertheless, I'll be purchasing a reliable compact car once I get settled after arrival in a few weeks to do my road trips "in". I hope your new mount configuration holds up. Do you have a dual double-clamp with a cage setup? I hope so. Failure galore on the 1/4-20 mounting sockets on both the X3 and stick. The info graphics overlay is cool and all but it distracts from the video. But that's just me.
Thanks for watching and commenting. Really appreciate it
Nice area to ride. Freedom.
You got that right!
Really good content.
This was a great perspective and very unique camera-ride relation, nothing like this setup in the Pi that I know of.
Edit: would it be cheaper to hire a lawyer on retainer than dealing with tickets? Get a couple of expats together and hire a lawyer on monthly retainer that you guys all use and can refer friends to. It would be a huge win win for both parties involved and what is more, that lawyer would be a central point of inquiry for general legal questions or networking.
I love motovlogging. So much fun. Great idea with the lawyer
Check out Isle of Medellin on northern part of Cebu brother
I’ll have to check that out. Thanks for the tip
That traffic would take me some time to get used to
It does. Riding motortaxis has helped some
royal enfield 450? curious because all i see while i'm watching your ride is your back. Looking like a nice chill ride though. Haven't seen you get over 30 mph. you picked the right ride for that kind of ride. What's the fastest you've done there? are there like freeways out there?
I have the Hunter 350 but looking to get the new Himalayan 450. A light ADV bike is really ideal here. I don't think I've been over 50 MPH and most of the time I'm riding 15-30 MPH. Most of the roads outside of Manila are not interstates
Chris! That was some local Filipino driving maneuver there at the beginning of your trip as you went on to the highway! 😂
Hey Jessica. Some dicey city riding for sure:) Hope all is good there
Please I was in Cebu city 2 times both for a month and got pulled over a couple of times and every time I just asked if I could pay the cop the fine then and they always said yes to a blue note.
It’s only a couple of purple:)
2:00 was probably a closer call than you thought!
or I'm not used to insta 360 footage.
Good positioning and little swerve though
I'll be coming to give a talk at cebu institute of technology soon. Brief me on the moto trip while I'm in town?
2 was close but not. I do think the angle added some to it.
I think a little higher and more center is a better angle and still experimenting
Best way to get me is through the Community Group. Link in the description
Yeahhh mannn
loving riding:)
You cant drive fast in Cebu, their roads and streets are narrow and busy, they dont have freeways. You dont hear a lot of bad accidents in Cebu its mostly minor.
Most of the Philippines is slower speeds form what I’ve seen so far
Once again, I'm super jealous of this trip coming up. lol
A trip of a lifetime and the first one. I can see doing this trip many, many times:)
@@CarefreeChris Good! I think that would be a fantastic trip! No schedule, just explore and have a great time with friends along the way.
Yes exactly. Can't wait
take care brother riding a motorcycle in the PH needs guts
for sure:)
come to the north, have ride with hells angels, mad dogs, outsiders....etc.
Would love to
👌👍👍
Yes Morten:)
Dude you have to start using the metric system respect!
Maybe one day but my viewers are mostly in the US:)
Is your speed display correct? Your speed was less than 30mph.
Lol in know right. It’s a slow roll
You have a drone following you?
360 baby:)
Hello 👋
Good morning!
Chris can you rent these? Or only can rent scooter?
I don't think anyone is renting bigger bikes, yet:)
How much was the bike. Looks like a 150cc?
I don’t remember exactly. Either 350,000 or 450,000 pesos. As far as the bike it’s the Hunter 350
what part of PH is this? my anxiety would going crazy trying to drive in traffic like that. kids dont need helmets?
It’s in Cebe City. Really different riding here
@CarefreeChris my plan is to move to the PH at the end of the year or early 2025. My final destination is between Cebu, Makati or Iloilo. I still need to do more research. I guess as long as I don't have to make any left turns in traffic, I'll be OK, lol.
Great options brother. Just depends on what you're looking for. I love all 3 and they're quite different.
@@CarefreeChris i have no idea, i guess you don't know until your there.
makes me want to break out the road king
Yes. Time to ride:)
Chris, be extremely careful riding a bike out there. It is not the safest place to be riding around your bike. 🙏🏼
I hear ya
Nice ride, but I do not believe that I would own a bike in Cebu.
You don’t need one in the city really
the motor bike riding looks dangerous as hell brutha😳
It's a journey:)
Just keep your distance to e-bikes! they are dangerous 😂
Good point
Definitely, riding a bike in the Philippines is very risky business. The lack of proper law enforcement contributes to that.
Rules of the road are totally unknown. I’m retired in BanayBanay, a province of Davao. National highway 74 runs right through town.
There are no laws enforced here. Street racing, no helmets no license. The list is endless. You couldn’t pay me enough to get on the road with them..Small 150cc bikes with no mufflers zooming all around. The majority are just kids that shouldn’t be on the road anyway.
They try to justify their manhood by thinking they really have a fast powerful bike. When in reality, it’s all show and no go.
Dangerous to anyone near these kids. Once again, the law is not enforced. Probably 95% of the people on this road are completely illegal. So, is it worth risking your life because of these people?
meanwhile, Chris is having a great time!!! 🤣🤗 #mindset
Welcome to the Philippines:)
