Your vids always make me smile. Not sure why but I think it’s because you are always in a happy mood. Plus you took a big risk and it’s paying off.
Thank you. I really appreciate it.
Man that Eliminator looks mean doesn't she? Like something Batman would ride! Lol. Very cool. Super informative video, thank you for sharing this, brother. 🤘
Thanks for watching and yeah love that bike
Another fascinating bike ride video! Full support as always! Good luck and all the best/Ned 👍👏👍
Many thanks!
This angel is amazing more of that camera please it rly makes for amazing content !
Yeah I’m really liking the new setup
Thanks Chris!
You bet!
I am a bit disappointed, since I expected a run through the entire shop, showing more brands than just Kawasaki and Suzuki. Nevermind, I did not know that there is now such a big bike shop out there on Mactan. Must have been put up after my departure in 2020?
Yeah, they just had the two manufacturers really as far as big bikes go. The main purpose for me going over there was to see if I can order something which I was pleasantly surprised that I can order anything I want.
Great vid 👍
Thanks 👍
What I find discouraging is that just about all motorcycle dealerships do not sell accessories on site. They do not carry anything in stock as you are used to back home. If you need something say for your Honda, I was told most things will take 3 months or so to arrive. That leads you to aftermarket items, and some are just cheaply made things from shopee or lazada. I would love to change out my seat and rear shock, however nothing is available in the Philippines that I can find online. I can find many options back in the USA, but then either they won't deliver to the Phil, or the price will incur 32% import tax from customs. Learned that the hard way, did not know the tax was that much.
Good to know. Wonder if there’s an option somewhere out of like Manila or Cebu city. Let’s see if we can solve this problem
@@CarefreeChris Would be good to find someplace that has quality parts that we can get locally. Depending on what you need Shopee can be a disappointment.
HI Chris, found and enjoyed your video ..would you kindly advise what cameras and sound you use while riding, as the sound comes out very clearly.
Yeah, no problem. Thanks for watching. I’m using the DJI mics with the Insta360 X3&X4 cameras.
Hey Chris, does this place also sell or order scooters like the ADV 160? Also are there any issues taking these bikes between islands with regards to title, plates and registration?
Yeah, exactly. I think you can order anything from there.
Maybe look at the CFmoto 450MT PHP 328,900.oo! There were some available last I checked in Mandaue city.
I get a little concerned about that bike being more off-road focused than I really want or need. I’m also hearing that it’s pretty top-heavy which is not fun for slow speed driving
You mentioned the Honda NX 500, are you still getting a Himalayan? I have narrowed it down to the NX 500 myself seeing it’s a refresh of the CB 500x but alas no one says they are getting one here in the Philippines
I actually paid for the Himalayan 450 but the bike that was coming to Cebu City was canceled so I got my money back. I’m now seriously considering the NX 500.
@@CarefreeChrisso am I but no dealer has any info on if it will ever make it to the Philippines
Nice dealership. Still, I would rather jump out of a perfectly good airplane than ride a bike in traffic. The downside is that a skydiving rig alone without the necessary accessories / accoutrements costs a lot more than a bike (about the cost of a subcompact hatchback which I intend to have when I get there). Incidentally, if a whuffo asks me "whuffo you jump out them perfectly good airplanes," my reply would be "if you've seen our planes, you wouldn't want to land in them either." 😁
lol. To fun. I haven’t tried skydiving but think I’d love it
I was just at the Triumph dealership in Cebu near IT park. Lots of really nice bikes, but not really practical for the PH, too big.
Yeah, exactly. The 400 series though might be a decent bike for the Philippines. I’m gonna be doing some demo rides on those bikes when I get back in town.
How about a tour of Palawan complete length of the island? Maybe a full week stopping at hidden local beaches.
Yeah. I’m sure I’ll get over there at some point.
Driving around Palawan island is very limited as you can't really drive across the mountains as the road is only limited to the coastal areas. Cebu is the best island to drive because the extensive network of roads crisscrossing the mountains, lush jungles, waterfalls, valleys, farmlands, villages, connecting all towns and cities from coast to coast. No other islands in the Philippines offer that.
Bikes break. Can you get parts readily for that special bike? Who wants to wait a month for parts like brake pads.
It’s a great point and something to really consider when you’re purchasing a bike here. One of the reasons why I’m strongly considering Honda.
Also first
:)
I'm down in Digos right now and looking to do some vlogging like that with a channel I'm starting. Are you using your dji wireless mic for this content as well?
Yeah, exactly. I’m using the DJI wireless mics.
@@CarefreeChris how did you get it so nice sounding in the wind? Did you just use an effect in edit or? Maybe a quick explanation if you have a minute. Thanks

I also have a Rode Lavalier
What kind of video equipment are you using?
Most of my vids are shot with an insta360 camera and DJI mics
So, we're moving up to a 650 now, hmm? Maybe you can order one with just the first gear installed at a discount? Haha, joke lang, just messing with you, bro.
Nice ride out to Lapu-Lapu. I hope you get a good bike that covers all your needs. 👍
Yeah, trying to find the right bike for the type of riding is a little bit of a challenge for sure. I really doubt I’ll get anything above 500 cc
Suzuki 650 V Strom are awesome
I’m a fan and considering it mildly
While you are at it get a pair of proper riding boots and dump the flip flops.
I got shoes on there :-)
No Harley’s? Dude….. The Honda XR650R/L is also a versatile bike.
Nice. 👍🏼
Looks like a nice shop, but would want to at least see a representative bike before I bought one; ie NX500 or Yamaha. Nice ride though, thanks for sharing Chris...Jim
I hear a Jim. So challenging a test ride a bike.
@@CarefreeChris A lot of places here in Florida won't let you take a test drive unless they know you are going to buy the bike. Which is understandable, and there is so much information out there about new bikes. At least would like to sit on a bike to make sure its a comfortable riding position for me.
Holy moly , Chris hit 50 on his bike !🎉is that even legal 😂
Guess that was 50 kmh, not mph.... what also does not answer the question of legal speed. In PH almost anything is legal as long as you don't get caught 🤣
I know I’m getting up a little bit in speeds in certain spots of town :-)
I'm a certified Triumph whore, just to get that out of the way. 😅 I'm going to take a hard look and ride the Tiger 660 before I make my move over. I had the Tiger 800 and now have the 900 Rally Pro now, so I'm super comfortable with that series
There’s a dealership right here in Cebu City. I’m about ready to demo the 400x. Do they make an ADV with a 660?
@CarefreeChris Yes, the official name is Triumph Tiger Sport 660. It's a triple, same engine they put in the Trident. About 6in of travel for those rough roads. You can get panniers keyed to the bike. Very similar to those V-Stroms in this video in terms of size and power.
👌get your head off of that nx and get the 650xt
I think above 500CC isn't really practical, unless you're in the Manila area
@@CarefreeChris its not the cc im trying to push you in to its the ride quaility= suspension theres a lot off cb500x for sale used please go and try it it out its the same as the nx supension wise and espesialy 2 up you would be better off keeping the hunter 350
Once again….you have extra big balls for riding here 😂
You got that right! Lol
