RIP Steve Albini
This is one of the best songs ever made.
big call mate. But it is a great song.
It certainly does a lot in two minutes and twenty seconds.
Hype
Steve Albini was perfect for this record. All killer, no filler.
This record is one of the best ever
I should have known he produced this.
I listen to this everytime I need a boost of confidence
purple5801 Even though this song is about dick sizes, but good for you! I do too
RIGHT...
Charlie Romero huh, I actually think it's about how the size of a woman's arm is bigger than any dick. maybe I'm wrong, but arms are 20 inches, not dicks.
@@JDMimeTHEFIRST Right. So just imagine how big someone would have to be in order to have a 20-inch DICK...
It's always the 6'foot nothing dudes that weighs about 130lbs with the donkey dicks seriously its like you would think it's would fuck up there balance...a victim of overkill. Lol
She rocks the fuck out of that...
The drums and hand claps on the left so good
rid of me is one of the greatest albums ever made
Rid of Me was easily one of the best albums of the 90's When i got my first copy (on cassette!) i played that shit til it died, got another copy and have had it on CD ever since
Finally person in the comments who appreciates the classics, Rid of Me Is definitely the stranded on a desert island pic for PJ Harvey.
Superb record!
Same same!!!!
good, but she got so much better
Courtney Love said that Rid Of Me was more influential to her than Nevermind, and she literally lived with the guy who wrote it.
Back in my day, we had tons of empowered, accomplished, independent women who could rock as hard as the boys. PJ Harvey is at the top of that list.
She's a complete badass. Her stage presence is just fearless, as well as her ability to experiment with her music constantly. Her stuff now sounds nothing like her 90's and early 2000's output
But.... I keep hearing about the patriarchy! Surely women never did anything before now, the age of "the first x to do.."
She rocked better than the boys.
that beat change at 1:48 rips me a new asshole
2:03 now THAT hits the spot.
sharp musicianship
That image of two assholes rips me.
Hahahahaha
50 feet wide?
I cant think of many mainstream artists as varied or talented as PJ Harvey. She cannot be overrated
Facts
There's no such thing as "mainstream". It's a marketing term for suckers.
#MediaILiteracy
@@d7sfblab Mainstream is a synonym for major label
@@Trainy2 "Major label" has long since ceased to be a standard.
She’s a video star. There’s nothing appealing about this song. Just noise.
I am a 90's child and missed PJ Harvey. Just discovered her recently and she reached out through this video and slapped me for my mistake. My apologies. I'm a fan now.
Same thing
never too late to bring you her love
She's the female Cobain
@@diogopinto9462 no
@@MephProduction yes she is, only difference is that she wasn't murdered ..
I just love that “Heeeey!” At the beginning always puts a smile on my face.
Early to mid 90's was untouchable for alternative music, I remember hearing this song in the clubs - still amazing!
Yes man, WE Heard deftones n stuff in da Clubs, was a great time ,!!!!
Amen bro,it was untouchable alright
What do you mean in the club's... Was a DJ mixing or something.Damn I sure hope not. In what form Was this song being played ? What kind. Of clubs?
@@shanesantos5625 Indie Alternative underground clubs, Toronto (92-94) it was a thing...
PJ is simply a GENIUS!
She’s the best. Seeing her live in September!!
I was sitting with a coworker on day just killing time. She was on her computer when she clicked on an article rating the top influential female rockers. I blurted out PJ Harvey and she said, "who's that?" Indeed, this was a tragic statement. PJ Harvey was #2 on the list. Now, my coworker is a fan.
This song is just as relevant as ever.
If Johnny Cash had a leopard print coat...
I remember seeing PJ, VSalt and Live during some tour in the 90's. It was a great show.
She's my queen. Naming my daughter after her
As long as it's PJ and not BJ your child should be fine.
Polly Jean. Great Idea. Is it too late to re-name my 3yr old? :-)
I don't have kids. My dogs are named Polly and Harvey.
Same
She is a Libra an Air sign & sings about herself being a “Force 10 Hurricane”. Very apt! 💃🏻. 🌀
A PJ Harvey Song contains the most intense 90s British rock that the entire discography of Oasis, Blur, Radiohead and Pulp put together. Greetings from Argentina...
Polly Harvey rocking out. Sublime
150 people are terrified of mighty king, our reigning queenie, the eternal goddess, Polly Jean.
Happy St Jean's Day
The RAW power of the young PJ could blow you away!
I saw her many moons ago in a homecoming gig in Yeovil. She kicked ass then and she still does! Love the smirk right at the end... 😘
Every time a Zoomer wants to play me a Billy Eilish song, I give 'em this
I don't know how I missed her in the 90's and early 2000's. Just discovering now!
As they say, better late than never.
Never too late :D
true artistic expression
This song always just kicks you in the face and makes you want more. Fuck yeah, PJ!
Pj Harvey looks like an angry mom yelling at her kids in this video but somehow she still looks cool af though 😂
PJ rules!!!!
jesus christ! this one of the greatest rock songs, ever.
From one of the greatest albums ever, yes
Powerhouse! Absolute legend all day
FUCKING AMAZING! Always has been one of my favorites by the queen. World would be a better place, I believe, if this musician got the attention she deserved.
flaca como podes ser tan talentosa aaaa
Everlasting love for this goddess 💕🎸💕
You changed mylife in the 90's baby
Man, they all look as cool as fuck in those sunglasses. 😎😎😎
I remember thinking that was best smile
That guitar break though.... ❤
LOVE her...she's so kickass :) Really digging her sense of humor X)
F**king Genius song! It never doesn't utterly brilliant!
This song has always reminded me of a Fugazi song
Radiohead
Butthead: "Id like a 50ft weenie"
Amazing stuff from the Queen of Rock.
Someone compared her to Patti Smith and her attitude seemed to be " I'm not worthy" 👍✌😀
What a LEGEND PJ!
Like the little laugh at the end.
Thanks to 120 minutes of MTV, it was 1993 and a very first song of PJ I heard.
I love how genuine she is in this video. Check out her cute smile at the end!
What an amazing talent !! And sooooooo fn gorgeous !!
Heeeeeeeeeeyyyyyy
one of my 5 favorite from her!! great rock%roll raw
First time I ever noticed her is while watching “Beevis and Butthead” most likely around 1993. I was and still am a metal head but after seeing this video I got into her music big time. I can never hear this just once I always replay it. She is one of those artist that I can just hit play shuffle and it doesn’t matter what comes up I know I’ll like it.
huh huh, I've got a 50 foot weenie...
Is that Malorie?
かっこ良過ぎっ
Terrific album from a great and intriguing artist!
I am so in love with this era of pj . Her music is a punch in the crotch .
Same and have been since it was released
BOW TO THE QUEEN
JANE
FUCK. YES.
My vote for greatest human ever is this one
Nice one Polly girl. Love it. X. Still sounds boss after all these years.
God this woman is wonderful, holding her purse all the while. 🤘🏻🖤
PJ Rocks it!
brilliant artist
she' so... pure !
The first time I saw this clip on MTV I thought: "OMG, what the hell is this?!" but in a good way though. During that period of my life I mainly listened to house and electronic music and I was not into rockmusic or anything with guitars at all. That gives P J a lot of credits, because she immediatly made me interested in her music. It's nice to see someone wants to be creative in her own way without reflecting herself to other musicians and music genres.
the songs good. But of course if you hear it for the first time with the video it would throw you off haha.
You can love both rock and electronic/dance.. i certainly do
Great song, talented artist. She has put out so much great music!
SHES A LEGEND
Was on holiday in Her Magistys resort when I saw this and have love her and every bloody song since . Absolute phenomenal artist ❤
This woman one is one big goddess.
50FT QUEENIEEE
i used to play along on the drums on this song......good drummin' in this song
iconic
She was very, very cool.
the BEST !!!
I don't think how good of a song she would do, but this is one of my favs!
So impressive ❤❤❤ love Poly 🥰
I'm clean ! No one can touch me!!!
Love this woman!!!!
Absolutely brilliant I love it.
Fucking sick.
I’m a 58 year old man and even I like this song! Just kidding I’m not really a 58 year old man but no 58 year old men made that comment on this video yet that I could find.
My thoughts exactly!
CLASSIC!
Amazing!
Totally awesome!
Pretty dam heavy man! 👍😎
That's my girl ♥️
Sounds great!
Fantastic song ❤
I met her last Monday- it was incredible!
FOCKING BRILLIANT!

I ❤️ this one.
AWESOME
No one can do it like PJ Harvey. No one...
Amazing track, Video!
First time I heard this song I laughed my ass off. Classic.
She's stock start !! Straight up !!
I just rediscovered her a year ago.when I was 14 my sister showed her to me I thought she was stupid. Now she’s my obsession I can’t go a day without listening to her. Her music is like a drug to me.shes so underrated and I think one of the best artist ever.
