When you're really into someone, being close to each others heads, kissing, running your fingers through the hair, "touching their head", is a pretty universal thing you feel compelled to do. I first heard "Rid of Me" many years ago, working in a restaurant. I walked in the kitchen, one of the chefs was playing her. I was floored, "who is this?". The rest is history. I adore her.

My experience was a tv show (Peaky Blinders). Two sex scenes both playing Pj Harvey in the background. The scenes were sexy not because of the visuals but because of her voice. I had to listen to the full songs and I was not disappointed. (Catherine and Is This Desire)

The power cut out midway through 'This Is Love' that night. She stopped, took a sip of water and when the power got hooked up she rocked it right where she left off not missing a beat and the crowd went nuts. Very cool moment.

This would probably be my most favourite PJ Harvey song & vid. I's Love This; The relentless repetitive drone of the bass, the contrast of black & white with a splash of red thrown in, the sexy fall of PJs voice at the end of each line, the daimante studded stilettos, the minimalist clothing of trau & tasselled jacket with nothing else, the way PJ prances around, the way she looks a little like Iggy. It's classic PJ Harvey at her best. I love it!

PJ is an artiste. Not only that, but we can relate to her lyrics, attitude, and delivery. Her Iggy Pop strut in this video adds to the appeal yet doesn't detract from her realness. Like Wahkeena said below, Goddess, Goddess, Goddess.

Last time i saw her in Seattle she sold out a large venue and in the 90s ruled as well. She's now in her 50s, uhm so it goes.
