#3dprinting #Cosplay #repair - Zábava
Was thinking of doing a "cosplay medic" cosplay where I just go around the con with materials to fix broken cosplays. This is definitely gonna help make my bug out bag lol.
W
Awesome idea
So glad you had fun and glad that you're back. Definitely going to make a kit similar for future cons.😆
There's a group of attendees at DragonCon every year going around as cosplay medics. VERY helpful when in need. Such as when your wife's dress gets a rip in it, and you need a few safety pins to keep things together for the day.
I'm heading out in 3 months with my first body suit of 3D printed armor and super nervous about it, I'm watching this very intently! lol Thanks for covering the subject!
So what’s the cosplay?
@@saadabbas6278 Mawsworn Anduin from World of Warcraft. It's coming along great, I'll be trying to be a contest in the cosplay contest
Random question/idea:
Have you ever considered doing Black Manta's helmet? It's really wide and I'd KILL to see it amongst your collection.
Great video! It's great to see behind the scenes of how you repair your awesome Iron Man suits. I can always learn something new from your videos.
Awesome video. Love the commentary and silly bits. Definitely gonna pack a kit
Very good kit guide! Pretty much what I carry out to cons 🤙🏼 😎
I missed these style of videos too brother happy your back
Wish I got to see and meet ya, but was only thee Sunday, and was overwhelming lol.
Could you make a video on making a Hawkeye bow. Where it collapses like in the movie. I think that would be a really cool prop. Love the videos man keep up the good work
Just found your channel yesterday and man, you are such a great watch, intelligent at what you do, friendly and informative about the craft, not deterring beginners, thank you so much!
Hey I was wondering if you could make a video on your filament choice and where you buy them? I am getting into 3d printing and I’m wondering what your opinion was.
Welcome back
Oh that ending was beautiful 😂
Hey Frank! On the topic of repairing, did you have any manifold issues when slicing the MK85 back file? I'm having a ton of issues so help to keep me going would be great please! Thanks!
funny enough my new print split one a layer line yesterday when trying to remove aggressive supports, some good ole super glue and welding did the trick
“That’s the way dad did it, that’s the way America does it and it’s worked out pretty great so far”
Anyone else notice that line from iron man 1?
You get it
@@FranklyBuilt yup, I’m a huge iron man fan
I’m very sad because my cr10s pro v2 (my only printer) the hot end separated and I didn’t realize so when I tried to print it oozed Filament everywhere all over the hot end so now I need to wait for a new one to arrive 😢
what infill % do you reccomend for helmet printing? Started with 15% but it seems thin. Thanks!
so i just watched your video about where to get free and paid for models and ive been looking for ps5 side panels for a while and cant seem to find any free ones was wanting to know if you could help
how thick were the prints to snap? Also PLA Welder and PLA Gloop are things I found through research.
Hey I was wonder how you connect your fingers armor pieces together so that you can move your hand around without worrying?
Where do you store the rescue pack? Have a partner with you or stash somewhere at the con?
How well does the Gorilla brand hot glue work on holding in those straps?
Finally he hath returned
This question doesnt have to do with the video BUT! i have a Sovol SV03 and when i got to print single parts no matter the size i have zero problems. however when i try to batch print and print multiple smaller pieces at once it fails almost instantly at that start. Is there something special i need to do to print more then one piece at a time? i cant find anything on this anywhere.
Do you think fiberglass reinforcing would be a good idea at all?
super video
great vid also how's your day
I think you could use wage connectors for your wires, it is one extra piece, so I could understand the decision to not use them.
Can you make a video on how to add the CR touch for ender 3 pro?
Having one of these kits is a quick way to become everyone's best friend at a con 😂
Dope
The pump spray accelerator is clutch bc I live overseas and you can’t ship the aerosol cans
Hey can someone teach me how and what I need to make the mk5 helmet I 3d printed it but I don’t know how to make it or what electronics I need
7:22 I understood that reference
How do you recycle your 3d print filament
Please do a review on bambu lab p1s at some point. It looks real good.
It’s the same as the P1P. No real reason for another review
@@FranklyBuilt Thanks, appreciate it 😊🙌
Hey is there a iron man helmet version that can be printed on 150mmx150mmx150mm printer?
Any version
Iron man has returned
Can you make a white dino thunder helmet
I’ve never been so early on any video
was there ever a video where you showed the switch in the hand?
Anything you say? where'd ya get the big Iron-Man Cardboard Cut-out?
Where can i get raft material?
Does anyone remember what tool is used to carve out datails and deeper groove lines? I cannot remember the name of it.
Panel scriber
Thank You!!!!!@@FranklyBuilt
Hey frank can you make a peter b parker faceshell, I can share you the reference images
Do you plan on going to SDCC next year?
Yep!
@@FranklyBuilt Cool! I’ll be there!
what about using a 3d pen for repairs?
Maby you need to make the antman mask next
Dang I’m early
Come to the Tulsa Oklahoma Comic Con 23 August 5-6
Can you make a raygun prop from call of duty zombies?
Odin and evil Ted
Hii
IronDuck?
How much for a mk39
I’m asking because I might get one for halloween and cosplay
And I’m a kid
hey make the miles morales 2020 suit
i think everyone will like it
It’s always when you are in a rush that something breaks…. It’s like it knows when it’ll stress you out the most……..
While I don't do 3D printed armor cosplays, I do Star Trek communicator badge and rank insignia props.
At present I've been working on-and-off on two badge prints, The first and most further along is my 2370s Combadge (The prop introduced in the seventh Star Trek Feature Film "Star Trek: Generations") and the one I refer to as the "Illusory Future Badge" which was introduced in the fourth season episode of Star Trek: The Next Generation "Future Imperfect" and later reused for an alternate reality setting in the seventh season episode "Parallels"
I'm not sure but I think after I glue together the illusory future badge, I might make a video about how I worked on both props.
Props for the pre-Ironman / kidnapping Ironman quote. But does this mean you're about to be snatched and change your entire life/hobby? 😲
You could try melting some filament into the infill of both sides (using a 3d pen?) before welding. Would make that section 100% infill and solid
Personally I would tape/rubber band a second tip to that soldering iron to use for electronics.
That form of the instant glue is probably a good idea. Airlines tend not to like compressed cans of stuff. On that subject, wonder if I could pack my portable butane powered soldering iron? Even more handy than a cheap plug-in
P.S. Where are these websites to check out your butt? OF/franklybuilt? 🤣
You had to fix the but crack😅
Solder has an L in it
ay yo! why does 3d printing nerd keep being so sus 0:47
I would be happy if Hollywood stayed on strike forever.
