I agree with most, I guess at this time Elegoo could be "smarter" in how they will build a machine. If we use Bambu Lab as an example or other Neptune Printers is like "People want this, you got it. Instead, I will give you bare bones and you fix the rest like Creality. That being said. As a Kickstarter project, probably because was almost for home use target they were not sure how many people would be interested and trying to keep it at a lower price some corners would be cut. Still agree some basic things should be addressed better. Great video. I always like a clean point of view w/o going nuts with personal hate and frustrations.

1) This is why backing Kickstarters of manufactured products is extremely risky. 2) I agree that big companies shouldn't be kickstarting products. Consumers shouldn't be paying lots of money to be the R&D department. That is the manufacturers job.

i can relate to your thinking on this, i work in the tool making industry primareky milling, and i look at machines also and think: "why wasnt this reconsidered?" all that aside, im also very confused they didnt put a probe standard on this machine, and also a nozzle probe? like the one Anycubic made. A machine this size really needs accurate operation as a standard part of it :S

Great video Frank. I saw a video recently someone did where they were talking to the Elgoo developer and they plan on making an entire Storm line and they do have plans to make a smaller model of the Giga. I'm guessing one about half the size. It would make more sense to me anyway. Anyway I expected more from Elgoo. They had been doing so good as a manufacturer and then they make this huge failure. Let's hope they fix the Giga and make better models in the Storm line that they may have planned.

Whilst I approve of everyone suggesting a flexi Rex, there is an opportunity for something amazing. Print a model of a 3D printer WITH a 3D printer

I came super close to backing the Orange Storm when it was announced. With all the issues I have seen and heard I'm so happy I didn't. For me this will be a hard pass till the next version if there will be one. Two many issues with this one....

Agreed, kickstarter should not be for companies like this. Does the name not imply it's for 'start ups'? Just as bad as all the big game companies that jumped on the 'early access' bandwagon. But here's the thing. They can only do it if the consumers support it. They did not hold a gun to your head and make you fund this did they? How many of you feel this way will jump on the next kickstarter by elagoo, creality etc? Same as the people that bitch about game pre-orders and early access who then run out and do it all again. That many. Tell me I am wrong.

Very accurate points and definitely correct it should be caught in internal testing not using customers as unpaid testers.

I wrote them to cancel. Too many having issues. We are in a time where a true plug and play is possible, and going back.. I dunno. All you guys who got them for free.. I could use the cash on other things.

I am an elegoo fan, have used their resin printers (mars 2/saturn 2) and Neptune 3 max and even have a phecda but they do always seem to make the wrong cost saving decisions. Things like what you are now pointing out show exactly the issues. Maybe the testers failed to point out these things though.

Ivan Miranda made a huge scale 3D printer and his worked great. It had a sheet of aluminium as the base plate and used four silicone heating mats attached underneath for base plate heating.
