The warmer temps and humid conditions of late spring bring lawn disease and often lawn insects. Doc shows some of the damage that can be done to your when insects are present and their PREY, start digging up your yard. I have the little holes in my yard as well. In my case it is squirrels digging everywhere. I had previously treated for bugs and grubs so I don't know what the squirrels are digging for.

Question for you. I've been buying the BioAdvanced 32oz Fungus Control which comes in a disposable hose-end-sprayer. It's the perfect size for my yard and the fast spray rate lets me finish in under 15 minutes. Problem is, at $18 a pop they are expensive. Since the top unscrews, would it be possible to reload one using a dilution of the Propiconozole concentrate you recommend on your channel? The BioAdvanced product is 2.42% active ingredient and the concentrate (gallon size) is 14.3%. So, I was thinking I could refill the sprayer using 1 part concentrate and 5 parts water to get the same ~2.4% concentration. The only issue I see is that the spray rate may be partly determined by viscosity and the dilution may be thinner than what comes in the BioAdvanced sprayer. What do you think?

pre emergent before spring has helped me prevent the seeds germination. I then applied again already. I hand picked out the actual young grab grass that grew. Best year so far for me😍

I live in Oklahoma which is ram pant with ground moles. Literally they are everywhere... Any tips/tricks to get rid of them? I know a lot of people use traps, but they are very inconsistent. I'm more interested in a method that has consistent results. My back yard is literally an underground mole super highway!
Doc, really need some help with Bermuda Stunt Mites here in N. Texas. Been a major issue for me 2 years in a row now. I have sprayed with bifenthrin twice, no noticeable results. I just scalped, bagged the infected areas and will be spraying again. Can you please advise if there is a different insecticide I need to be using? Would be a good topic for a future video as well
I would first try permethrin if that does not work then go with a miticide but they are expensive.

Doc, i have a question for u. I've been using my reel mower (tru-cut 27") for probably 15 years. When I mow now the top edge of my blades are turning brown like when your blades are dull and it's tearing the grass instead of cutting. My mower is sharp( backlap this spring) and I tested it to make sure and it's cutting paper like scissors. When l look real close the top 1/8" or so of my grass blades are brown like the blade is being crushed vs cut and being pulled/ squeezed through the reel. I'm at a loss so any suggestions would be welcomed. What I'm doing now is making two passes in opposite directions over the same section and that seems to have helped. Thanks
Sometimes cutting LONG grass will do that... sometimes the blade speed is too high... double cutting... sometimes you'll get a HAZE when cutting hot grass but that's not the same issues. Try reducing the RPM to VERY low... cut a path... then bump up and cut another. Compare.
How To with Doc thanks, I'll try a lower rpm. I keep my grass short, probably 3/4" at the tallest and usually mow at least twice a week so it's never long. I lapped with 80 grit but just ordered some 120 so maybe that will help give me a cleaner cut as well.
That’s what I love about my house is I go outside and eat my backyard. In fact I think I’ll go out right now and eat a tree.

Are the treatments you suggest pet friendly ?? Also, here in PA we have had alot of rain & having trouble with mushrooms, your advice is appreciated.
They all have pet guidelines but yes. Most say allow to dry then pets are fine.

I would only use the granular. It's not RECOMMENDED but can be done.
