Thank you very much for taking your time and helping many other to save their time as well as their lawn.
Great job solving your problem with the help of everyone here
Glad to see you may finally be rid of the little critters, hope your weather is kind and you get some fecovery going before the really cold weather sets in
Me too. Kinda depressing but we'll get there!
Thanks for sharing your information, now I know what to do ty ty
The struggle is real, very real.
That product will do it. Glad you are now on top of the bug problem. Don't wait til you see damage. Use it as bug maintenance each year.
Yeah next year I hope to be better organized. This year was a whirlwind
great video... well done. thanks for leaving in the laugh when trying to film and fill with each hand.
4th!!! Hope your lawn will get better from here on out and you can start dominating again!!!
Thank you explaining.....what the cinch bug looks like and showing the actual bag of the product you are using.
You're welcome!
I've got a few patches I noticed after I lowered my hoc the other week.
I thought they were maybe from large amounts of grass clippings smothering the grass or a fungus. This looks very similar to what I see in my tttf though.
Will try this test out. Good info man
Yeah after getting them bad now I'm gonna test anytime I even hint at brown lol
These bugs have absolutely DESTROYED my yard 😭
Great Vid. Bifenthrin works great! Make sure you re-apply in about early June as well up in the Northeast. Also keep it away from any veggy's you may be growing for consumption. Also they recommend use of a wetting agent to make sure it gets down into the upper root zone/thatch layer faster. Of course this would pertain to using the liquid version verses the granular but it is recommended.
Yeah next year I'm going on offense! No more reacting to everything after the fact!
Here in Central Florida we use Sunniland Chinch Bug Granular Killer.
Like the water test. Thanks
Yeah it makes you more confident before buying a product to put down
Thanks for the great video! GD!
Thanks for watching!
This was hilarious and helpful. Thanks
Glad you enjoyed it!
Thx sir!
The coffee can and water test works damn good ... that’s how I do it as well. Crazy isn’t it since they are hard to spot but yep they are there hiding and eating away !!!
Yeah it kinda freaks you out, you see one or two but when you do the test and they all start floating eeks
@@GrassDaddyhow do they end up in the lawn i don’t get it ? are they flies ? and lay eggs bastards
Thanks for sharing
Thanks for watching!
Thx yard daddy
Curious if it worked. Looking to get rid of my chinch bugs also. Great video. Thanks!
Yes it did
I sprinkled the area in my lawn with diatomaceous earth, Once and then a month later again. It fixed it totally. That was two years ago and no bugs since.
What month did you this? Does it matter which month?
yea man! thats it ---- many uses hit it again in the spring. imaclaprocid also for systemic control.
yup next year I'm going all in on this bug stuff, not waiting around again!
Thank you for this video. I've been trying to figure out what these bugs are in my yard and the grass started dying right around the time I started noticing them. This is the culprit.
I know it was a little while ago but did the product work for you long term? I'm reading mixed results on that chemical. Or maybe it's just the granular stuff. Thanks!
I have them here in Massachusetts. They are everywhere.
Gud job bro
You Should have applied this months ago lol. I use Transport Mikron pesticide that works very well for any application. Pick some concentrate up.
I know right!? I'm going to be doing it from now on but life happens and you think "oh I'll be fine" and then BAM dead patches :(
Thank you for not editing out failures lol
Hope this gets rid of them!! Good luck
Me too! It should though
What are you making this from?
Syngenta demand CS or Cyonara 9.7, I have had good luck with both those products....GL...
Thanks! I went with what was locally available *now*.
Why did you use the granular? If you'd like to spray next time, your local big orange box store sells liquid in a bitex for like $15. If you get the liquid, you'll definitly find other uses for it. It's great for mosquitoes if you spray the underside of the bushes and low trees in your lawn, anywhere they rest where it's hot. Works well as a foundation spray for the house too.
I can’t seem to find this product
they come up that fast with that test ? and does it have to be a metal tin you have to use ? what can you buy in canada
Yes they just float and it can be any container. I am not sure what is available in Canada
why didnt you show before/after? Was it effective? Did the grass come back or did some have to be replaced?
Went to Allen's seed today good guys very helpful
Did you tell them grass daddy sent you?? I don't get anything but I think it'd be hilarious if they start wondering who I am 🤣
@@GrassDaddy I did mention you ..that is how I found them LOL .
@@jayg272 haha awesome
That was a great thumbnail!
haha thanks
Chinch Bugs... "To the last, I grapple with thee; From Hell's heart, I stab at thee; For hate's sake, I spit my last breath at thee."
Thanks for the tips man. We had an usually long ugly hard freeze down here in South Texas and it stressed everybodys yards this year. The Chinch bugs are multiplying out of control feeding on the weakened St Augustine lawns. My yard is only a year old and his having a hard time recovering as it is, then the bugs start moving in.. Well, I hope they like Bifenthrin!
Finally a good check for those buggers.
Yeah it worked really well
I look really stupid in the front yard with my rear in the air and my face in the ground with a mag glass.
What product can you use for grubs when over seeding?
You could use the same as I used here
Where do you buy your products? I'm in RI
Allen's seed in Exeter
Pennsylvania ?
A just as effective test that works for grub worms (the beetles that come after the worm) is to fill up a bucket of water and put a cpl tablespoons of dish soap in it then pour over a 3 or 4 sq ft area they'll come right out of the grass and be crawling on top to get some fresh air and you can see what you have...
Get those bugs out of there! Messing up your nice grass videos!
I know I don't want to even make videos with them bad spots!
Man, chinch bugs for you, army worms for me. First time I've had a monostand, and got hit pretty hard with the insects, even though I've been pretty on top with my spray applications. The quart of Bifenthrin liquid is way cheaper, and you can apply that with your backpack sprayer and get just as effective coverage, if not better. Nothing beats free "watering in" of any product you put down!
Yeah I thought about the coverage after. With the granules so small I couldn't see where it was landing, had to listen to it hitting the grass
Cane corsos again, c0lonelk0rn?
😁
Does this technique help detect army worms too?
I do not know. Thankfully I haven't had to deal with them!
Talstar P is cheap and works great.
Will insecticide kill the microbes in the soil?
No.
Different animal. Well. Sorta. Aka no 😁
I went to school with a guy named Harry Chinchbug.
Haha this guy is too funny. Urggggaaa lol
i really appreciate you making the video but god damn this was tough to watch
Easier to just did a piece of sod out and set it in a bucket with water. They will float to the top, then just replace the sod.
Harry Bugs!!!
Gross!
I’m a 17 year old that lives in tx I won’t look up your address but some crazy person might
I thought I had drought stress, but my neighbor's landscaper said it is chinch bugs. What's the best times to apply? What state are you in. Would love to hear what you ultimately learned.
I would apply a bug killer (24 hour kill) kind asap and then next year use a preventer around April
It appears you need a third hand! LOL
haha yes please
So. This is America now. Wow.
The bugs look alot bigger in the thumbnail shot... It kind of like Mcdonalds it always looks better in the picture
I couldn't resist =P
Whow month later they are still there lol
Showed license plate monkaS
Eh it's a rental 😁 (car accident)
Why would the license plate number need to be hidden?
@@Cheesto31 some people can be real jerks and file a Stolen Vehicle report and give said license plate to the police and make a lot of innocent people's lives miserable for no reason
Chinch bugs are the worst. They can destroy a lawn if you let them go
You need to wear a respirator and gloves when applying insecticides.

The population has reduced scary
We don’t have coffee cans anymore? You probably drink that freeze dried decaf BS.
Clickbait
Get the Bifen It concentrate! It’s a 7.9 % I believe. Roughly 50$ for a 96oz. bottle. Only 1oz per gallon. Works great
