I put the granular down first because it needs to be watered in. After the lawn dries I applied the liquid because that has to cling to the grass blades and dry. After drying it becomes rain proof. Also the liquid can't be applied if the temperature is above 85 degrees.

I have the lawn fungus and was ready to take the advice on the Bio Advance Fugus control for lawns and when I was about around to apply before I noticed the fine print. • Do not treat lawn during periods of stress from heat or drought. • Do not apply when temperatures are greater than 85˚F, as injury to lawn may occur. I don't see any times over the next 2 weeks before we have highs below 85 and we are in the 90s most days. Does anyone know I could get away applying in the early morning or do I need to wait until the weather pattern breaks? Has anyone had a problem with this product if it was applied when it was in the middle of the summer?

This is a great video discussing treatment of lawn fungus, good information. Doc, I used Headway G, the reason I like this product is Headway G contains both Azoxystrobin and Propiconazole , which are great for treating lawn fungus. Yes, it's expensive, so is Makers Mark. I agree Doc about walking your lawn very early in the morning. Many times, problems just show up better then. I can spot different weed's in my tall fescue then, such as nimblewill better. It's also the best time to get after them pesky moles. Thanks again Doc, John

There are bare patches taking over my lawn. It looks like it's fungus. I was going to rake and put out seeds. How long after treating the fungus can I re seed? Or will the grass re-emerge after the fungus is gone? By the way I live in the NE. I have pictures I can send if it will help you help me.
I just used the Bioadvanced, and have 5000 sq ft. It is marked for 5000 now. It lasted about half that.
I have Bermuda Grass in my front yard. During the summer, I keep my grass deep, 4 - 5 Inches, to retain moisture because it gets so hot. I live in West Central Georgia. Should I cut it down lower?
Doc this can be applied any time before or after fertilize lawn? Fertilize my lawn about a week ago. Have a few brown spots in one section. In that same section some darker small spots. Not sure what’s causing it.

At the end of your video you stated to cut your lawn short this time of the year. I've always been told the opposite and to try and keep it at 3-4" in ht or highest setting on your mower. Can you explain on this? I guess your geo loc would dictate as well but I'm up here in Mi and Im just now treating for lawn fungus and a horrible crab grass invasion. My lawn used to be flawless but everyone around me starting developing horrible issues and it spread to my lawn...interestingly as well..those homes were all using the big lawn treatment companies out here and I see no improvement with the condition of their lawns...
Have you ever had to to deal with Pythium blight in Bermuda? How did you identify it and which product did you use to treat as this one does not affect it?
What is the best product for new grass that most likely has take all root rot or a diff fungus from too much water intake. Best product from a big box store and a local dealers?
Doc how often can I lay fungus granular and liquid for my fungus problem I put it two weeks ago it’s getting healthy again but real slow I still have the ugly yellow fungus also will the humichar and pgf complete get my grass healthy again from the fungus?
Hey Doc, it says not to apply the Bio advanced Fungus Control Spray when above 85 degrees. If it's 70 degrees in the morning but gets to mid 80's later on in the day, do you think it's still safe to spray in the morning?
I was putting corn meal on it, which worked, but at a slower pace. I want to get rid of it permanently.

What ever the label says per 1000 sq ft. This year we'll be using granular.

How can I permanently get rid of this fungus. I get it every year. The brown spots, small circles.
I have red tips on my Bermuda. I’m following your fertilizer and pre emergent. I’m in North Texas and it’s April. We’ve had regular rain and I’ve watered. I’ve read about red thread but don’t believe that is it. I’ve aloe read it could be a nitrogen or phosphorus deficiency. Any thoughts?
Red tips are generally caused by late frost stress. Had them as well. They grew out. If you still see them in about month, then apply some 10-10-10 lightly.
Are these products equally reliable on St. Augustine Grass in Gainesville, Florida? Trying to combat dollar spot and brown patch. Thanks for any help you can provide. First time homeowner and lawn caregiver! Lol!
I'm in Dallas and I have St Augustine. If you cut it high ... 4-5" ... you probably won't have an issue with fungus. I always cut high (twice a week) and I always water at night. I have never had fungus issues. I do occasionally have some mushrooms on the lawn in the morning, but that usually just indicates a healthy lawn, with lots of microbial activity breaking everything down. St Augustine survives and thrives in the heat, IF you mow it long.
We are in NJ zone 7b. Temps are on 65 some days on 70 and even some spots of 75. My yard is on sunny side and 250 sqft aprox. The front part has slope (5 X 15 ft).
I put down Liquid Lawn 3 weeks ago. On one corner of the slope I patched and stapled down with Kentucky sod,after 4 days I got fungus on the grass almost all over (my fault I was watering in night time for 3 days). I applied the liquid fungicide you mentioned on 04.21.19 9 am. My grass is new from October 2018 (was full of weeds and I scratched all and planted new seed) but still has some bare spots because of water wash off (I was away)and I forgot to remove the straw Mulch after germination (big mistake, now I got the expanding Mulch for my next seeding). And I'm raking almost every day. Do I need any start fertilizer or just the Liquid Lawn? I'll apply milky spore today and the granular humic acid dg and tomorrow the granular from Scotts you say tomorrow because of some rain today,..The bag is waiting on my living room together with the PH probe , the soil test and the thermometer. When I can seed these bare spots?

I'm in tears. I just purchased a new home and only been in it 3 months 1Dec - 10Mar. I went out on the patio one morning and saw like 30 or more webs on the grass. I had no idea what it was. So later that day I went back out & noticed what looked like a pattern of dead grass. Like really bad. I Googled & it said FUNGUS. 😪 its already half way through the yard and noticed it is now in my front yard. Bermuda grass sod. Can it be saved or do I need new sod & star treatment. Sorry for the long comment but I'm devastated but very happy your video. So, is my lawn doomed or can it be saved. 60% is diseased.
Turf diseases are not necessarily the death notice for your lawn. However, I have found that applying fungicides to cure (versus prevent) lawn fungus diseases can be trying. Obviously, it depends on the type of disease (dollar spot, brown patch, slime mold, etc) present as well as weather, soil drainage, turf density, vigor, etc. Certainly, applying a labeled fungicide should help ... but you would likely have to use the high rate listed on the label (called the curative rate versus the preventative rate) and repeated applications would likely be required. Most product labels have language such as : repeat application every 14-28 days until symptoms disappear. On a side note, brown patch (Rhizoctonia solani) will become WORSE in situations where excess Nitrogen fertilizer is applied. Do not add any liquid Nitrogen when spraying for brown patch fungus. It is advisable to add Nitrogen when spraying for dollar spot (Sclerotinia) though. BTDT.

Hey, Doc. Your method for combining products in a 5 gallon bucket then redistributing back into the hose-end sprayer is pretty unique. How do you figure out the calculations to make sure you get an even app without burning your lawn? That might make a good video.
I know from previous applications using the bottles that a light slurry mixture takes about 6 bottles to do ALL the lawn. Each bottle holds 32 oz . So based on that... it's pretty easy to figure.
So, I am just getting educated on being a lawn farmer. It is mid Aug. and watching your vids makes me think I have a fungus. You said treat in May. Do I wait until next year, or can I start now? Thanks in advance. Great videos.

Why do you cut your lawn short in the summer. All the fertilizer bags say to leave the grass long.
It's Bermuda grass and it likes to be cut short, but there's a method to the madness. Typically, you don't want to cut cool season grass short like this, especially during the summer months, although some do, but again there's a method to the madness.
Is it best to do this treatment in the early morning? Or can you do it early evening time as well? Thanks for this video
I would do it when the grass blades are dry... early evening.
So I have done the treatment you suggested and I can already see a difference. I am so pleased. But for the dry spots would you add some seed to fill in the dry spots so grass can grow? Or will it come up on its own. Thanks
I have another question. Lawn looks awesome, but I sometimes see little nats flying above parts of the grass. Does this mean I still have fungus somewhere or are they trying to tell me something? Thanks
