:"The real scoop (at the end of video) is that Joost Klein's tune isn't about geopolitical fires-it's about the blaze of his own memories, scorched by the loss of his parents at a young age. He's just globetrotting through Europe to douse those fiery thoughts. ,,,,,,,!"
Did you know that this song from my country is 3rd in Bookmakers! 🇳🇱
I respect your opinion, but this is my NO1 by an absolute landslide. Catchiest Eurovision song in years
How could they disqualify this😢
Excellent reaction video! You are so cute. I am waiting your new videos 🤗🤗❤❤
Before reacting make sure you know what you are talking about. This song has a sooo deeper meaning than what you asume .
OMG not another "but it has meaning" excuse. Bro! If I took a dump in a bucket and called it "deeper meaning", would you say "that's a good song, I'm gonna vote for it"? That's not how songs work! Listen to Estonia 2006. It's a sad story if you really think about it, but for some reason the song is made to sound super happy and joyful. It simply doesn't go together! If Europapa is so "meaningful", then why is it made out to be a joke entry then? I don't excuse bad songs for "good lyrics", I take everything into account, including music, vocals, and whether or not I like listening to it. Lyrics and hidden messages is not everything.
@SchlagerLucas Well, let’s focus on the music then: this is the first Dutch entry ever that uses happy hardcore, a music style that originated in The Netherlands. To have that represent us in Eurovision is about as typically Dutch as it will ever get.
And since Eurovision is about showing the different cultures of the participating nations: this is who we are 😁👌🏾
@@oscarfernald9402 Very good analysis. But it doesn't make the song any better for me.
@SchlagerLucas
That’s ok, just be warned: this song has the capacity to crawl under your skin; it will be interesting to find out if your opinion will change at some point 🙂
We'll see if my opinion will change after I've seen the live performance in ESC. Since I will be there for the Grand Final, I'll (most likely) see Joost Klein live. 🙂
Joost 💔
Morbidly enjoying your palpable disappointment at this year’s Eurovision entries, especially the favourites. Having watched your videos for years and your end of festival commentary videos, and knowing the style of music that tend stand out for you I was pretty sure this would be a tough year for you. I too was disappointed when I first heard most of these songs though there’s been some definite growers for me since. No fear, Eurovision 25 is just round the corner and will sound completely different again - that’s the beauty of this contest, no two years alike 😊
Please make a video with you jumping to it 😊
Yes. S10.
First I didn’t like this song as well but the more I listened to it the more I enjoyed it. Now I don’t like it anymore because it’s overplayed so much!
Finally someone who doesn't overrate this song
That is your opion. If you use the word ‘overrate’ you don’t respect others opinions who like the song a lot. If this song isn’t your cup of tea/ taste that’s fine.
