@@myself2noone but it seems the sentiment was not mutual, neither of them was included among Guilliman's top 4 brothers he preferred to work with and when he thought that they both also had perished alongside Manus it was Manus whom G-Man said would miss the most, that being said with him being rather professional in his approach he might rank his brothers strictly by performance and compatibility with his own combat doctrine without involving personal feelings and them not being among the 4 might not be a sign of distance.
@@Sealdeam I suspect it's more of the latter. Both Vulcan's and Corax's approach to warfare are fundamentally different from Guilliman's.
I suspect however he approved of their way of treating baseline humanity and how they set up rule and law on the worlds they conquered.
And the Khan, who was absolute bro's with Horus, waited until he had the facts and just logically decided that Horus was an idiot.
Everyone knows the savage lines the Khan dropped on Fulgrim, less talked about is how he just dropped the hammer on Mortarion when they met on Prospero.

Ol Peter and Dory are just either sides of the same coin. On surface they look differ but they are pretty much the same.
I believe the phrase Dan Abnett (author of a lot of 40k stuff) used when describing Perturabo was "a demented Rogal Dorn."

Horus very very much did not shake off the wound from Russ. In fact they needed some warp nonsense just to keep him going until terra. Also it says somewhere that horus was dying from the wound which led the final stages of the heresy to be a bit rushed to compensate. That spear is crazy powerful and Valdor has its twin.

@@jeffgreff4019 That is patently impossible since it's literally hardcoded in their DNA for Custodes to be utterly and unflinchingly loyal to the Emperor. And no, they can't be corrupted, Ra Endymion had an incredibly powerful daemon sealed within him and was just told to run... and he didn't get possessed.

The book I’m talking about is Penitent. In this a clone of Alizabeth Bequin, heretic inquisitor Gregor Eisenhorn (from the Gregor Eisenhorn books) and disgraced inquisitor Gideon Ravenor (from the Ravenor trilogy) go up against an extremely organised group called the Cognitae who are planning to kill the emperor. They (the Cognitae) are being helped by a being known as the yellow king who then betrays them. At the very end of the book (literally the last page in my case) it is revealed that the yellow king is a being who has an extremely large amount of names (and we know Custodes gain names for great deeds suggesting it is at the very least a member of the adeptus Custodes) and that the last name is Valdor Constatine.
So he might be planning to kill the emperor in a misguided effort to replace him on the golden throne (there was a lot of talk about that from the cognitae in the book) but I think your right that that would be insanely unlikely. I think it is more likely he has a different plan and was merely using the cognitae. The reason why I commented was because I thought there might be a slight chance that he was planning to kill the emperor and if he has a spear that powerful it would be kinda worrying. Sorry I should have been more clear.

What if the Emperor never sought out the Primarchs, instead leaving them to expand their own empires and find the Imperium themselves? Which primarchs would make it, which ones would stay/fall behind, and how would it impact the overall setting?

I always like the detail that the Lion is spectacularly bad with people. He seems to be the only loyalist Primarch that's written as having a flaw that an actual person would have. All the others, it's either a supernatural flaw, or a logical extension of the thing they're super awesome at and not every really portrayed as a flaw. The Lion is just straight up bad with people.
Corvus Corax is also immune to Horus's glamour effect (he alone inherits this Emperor's many power that immediately makes people like you).

When I heard the Fulgrim heresy I literally just imagined Fulgrim challenging the emperor to a one on one fight to show off how perfect he is only to get absolutely wrecked.
How about a video how every legion/chapter treats its serfs? Is it more than work for Salamanders=good, work for Iron Hands=not so good?
Work for the space wolf=Personal chaperones/Janitors for a frat house full of reckless raging drunks..accept their space marines.
Work for the Star phantoms=They aren't necessarily malicious towards their serfs but neither are the predator drone operators who unintentionally blow up children with hellfire missiles.

He would've regret it all and burn it all to ash. That's what the cabal said.
He would have died soon afterwards because being turbocharged by the 4 gods and being used as their puppet was wearing him thin. Id imagine what would happen is Guilliman, Russ, and Lionel would have purged Terra of the traitors if they tried to hold it or likely hunted them down. The whole scouring would have happened but the Imperium would have fallen apart due to the lack of the astronomicon or the Emperor might have reincarnated himself due to being a perpetual and started shit up again.

Quite interesting how the two Primarchs who were most in touch with humanity noticed something was off before everything went too shit. Probably says something to how they know Chaos is the ultimate downfall too humanity so even when one of their demigod brothers began to fell too it they could see it too some extent
They wouldn’t be surprised if it was another of their brothers, but the fact that it was Horus is what truly shock them to their core. Horus was the first found and the one who stood by the Emperor the longest, so to many of the loyalists Primarchs they couldn’t believe that their beloved brother would have turn traitor.
I wish that the Reason for Horus to sacrifice the Raven Guard was because the plan made by Corax was flawed and to save his brother from humiliation was to make a small sacrifice of RG and to have his brother blame him. Remember this happened when Horus was cool, and we have so few cool and charismatic Horus moments. We need to expand the reason why everyone was shocked when he turned traitor and why the emperor would not believe no one, and even had hope until the last moment to be a lie!

Having recently read it, i think Russ did more to horus than causing a shaking off wound. It isn't outright stated, but heavily implied he fell further to chaos, and was less effective as a result, due to russ stabbing him. But it didn't kill him, so fair enough on the analysis.

I'd love to see an in-depth video about the Istvaan III Atrocity with a focus on Saul Tarvitz, Garviel Loken and Tarik Torgaddon. You give a lot of deserved props to Nathaniel Garro as well as display a massive hard-on for Rylanor, but I think you underrate Tarvitz pretty badly. Mostly my request is because the loyalist elements of the Traitor Legions are my favorite characters in the setting

It kinda says something that Horus didn't even try to convince Sanguineous to join him. Yeah, he knew his angel cosplaying brother well, but I think he was also scared about having to fight him should/when the golden hawk boy refused him. After all, Sanguineous seems to have been second only to the Emperor in terms of how dangerous he was in a fight with even Chaos United Avatar Horus being hard pressed to beat him, so base Horus or even Corrupted Horus would no doubt have gotten his ass kicked pretty hard.
I dont even play Warhammer but I really love the lore. These videos are awesome.

Swell video as usual dude. But I have to school you a bit. The wound Russ inflicted on Horus mattered, it put him in a coma later a deprived the traitors of his leadership and led to a bit of a powerstruggle. Malochurst had to sacrifice himself to bring baldie back and stuff.

My ask. Head cannon the Space Sharks are the 11th legion. The Red Wake is a primarch, banished the the edge of the galaxy for their mutations but still loyalist. Their gear and speech match with what was current during the great crusade, Sanguinius feared the same consequences for mutation for his legion that the 11th had faced, and well Tyberos is the size of a primarch with primarch tier weapons. They curb stomp whatever unfortunate being is in their way, they have ancient but still valid clearance codes, their gene seed is of dubious and obfuscated origin; might be Raven Guard might be Nightstalker or neither. And did I mention the size of the Red Wake?
In my head the Emperor planned this, he created the most vicious and independent legion possible, realizing that in doing so there would be consequences of a mutant nature. But this mattered not, they would be absolutely loyal and absolute killers. They where built to hunt on the outer edges, purpose built, so the Emperor wasn’t worried about the lack of humanity or how they looked. They are the watch at the edge of the Empirium. They where erased from memory because they where created to be monsters and this doesn’t fit with the narrative of a galaxy for humans that he was selling. It makes perfect sense and it is a cool idea.
So now everyone feel free to blow Timmy sized holes in my poorly written and devised lore conspiracy thingy.

I don't know why you think Horace Shrugged off Lehman's attack. Lehman failed to kill him, but the wound was a serious enough one to cause the body to deteriorate. Up until that point Horus was still fully functional, but with that mortal wound it became a matter of haste for the chaos Gods because their puppet wasn't going to last nearly as long. Additionally his attack also briefly brought Horace back to normal, so I would argue you could also credit Lehman for providing that little in that will happen at the end of the heresy when Horace briefly regains his senses.
What I feel backs me up in this comment is throughout the siege the books have little moments where you see Horace and you can see that he is continuing to deteriorate and disintegrate, becoming more confused and almost like he has dementia. In a way he is like the anti version of the emperor, where people see him as this big Majestic butt kicker and then suddenly not so much.
