The Horus Heresy shaped the setting of 40k, making it incredibly grimdark. So what would have happened if Horus never betrayed the Emperor?

At least its a better time till the Necrons wake up

Majorkill where is the rest of fixing the end times videos? I can’t find the finale
But what about when Sigmar and Archaon return to the imperium?
I'd put money on Ferrus Manus discovering the Necrons far earlier. Hard to imagine he'd miss that the metal dragon he fought wasn't unique if his eyes and brain stayed attached to the rest of him. Whether that would be good or bad...
Nice one Majorkill, I think you just wrote 50k mate 👍😁

Would love to hear more stuff like this. Such as what would've happened if Big-E didn't purge the Thunder Warriors after the Unification Wars, and kept them in cold storage as a trump card for something he couldn't rely on the Primarchs, Marines or Custodians for. Or if Ferrus managed to kill Fulgrim during the Dropsite Massacre.
if thunder warriors werent killed off would be a lit video
Wait, how strong were the thunder wariors? I know theyre stronger than astartes but are they worth being kept in stasis?
,,
That sounds like an interesting thery just imagine the palace being under siege then BANG out walking 10,000+ Thunder-Warriors along side the custodes.
@@teukukeanu3078 Don't know. All I know myself is that if you put a Thunder Warrior and a Space Marine in a 1v1, the Thunder Warrior was more likely to win.
Space Marines beat Thunder Warriors by being more intelligent, more stable, and easier to create and keep in line. As Thunder Warriors were more physically powerful then Space Marines in every way.
Heck with some modifications and upgrades Big-E could've made any left over Thunder Warriors more stable then they were during the Unification Wars. Or at least stable enough where they'd be less likely to drop dead at random with the right life support implants fitted into either their Power Armor or via Mechanicum-designed cybernetics.
Maybe. Maybe not. It would depend on what idea and excuse Big-E would have in keeping them rather then getting rid of them. As in spite of their nature as crude prototypes to the Space Marines and all the performance problems they have compared to most Space Marines, Thunder Warriors got shit done in their time. And there were probably tones of battles during the Great Crusade or even the Horus Heresy where Big-E could've gotten better results by sending in a battalion of Thunder Warriors into one battle or another over a Space Marine Legion for more deadly scorched earth missions. Missions that required something as expendable as a Space Marine, but as powerful as a Custodian perhaps.
I imagine the difference between Dorn and Perty is Dorn would make a lot of functional things, he builds grand highways and space stations, while Perty builds amazing museums, galleries, aqariums, they work together to make the most effective pleasure world where Perty builds the things for pleasure and Rogal builds the ways to get from one to another, so members of the imperium can experience everything the planet has to offer in a short visit. This would together be their magnum opus, however they screwed up and didnt realise humans dont like to be rushed through a bunch of different things so nobody really visits the planet.
I wonder if Perty would be like a god of construction: his power is that he understands pretty much everything, so can he build something that he cannot understand?
@@darko-man8549 he would certainly try, one thing I'm pretty sure he wanted was to actually be challenged to build something. Some difficulty to spice it up
Chinese tourist like to differ on the "don't like to be rushed" part
Liquor and ribs on the ride from one place to the other?
@@trainerblack992 after the war with the necrons, Perty would probably be challenged by Necron technology
I weirdly imagine Lorgar and angron would still transform into daemon primarchs after their death, as they would essentially be the only traitor primarchs, but without enough strength from daemons or mortals, they’d essentially be playing checkers in hell out of frustration for not being able to do anything meaningful
Lorgar would still want to "cure" Angron and no one else seemed to care enough about either to get involved to try and stop it.
Mortarion would still be a dick
@@tybrewer8966 Lorgar would definitely still go Chaos and like you said, cure Lorgar by making him into a Daemon prince
I think the original plan for chaos was to get Magnus their champion. Then Tzeentch felt he want to make him his personal belonging.
d3pends e on wheter the emperor could beat the shit out of the chaos within in time of cojrseu
I'm surprised he forgot to mention Ahriman's vineyard that could be a renowned galactic Wine that the Tau Ethereals, Fulgrim, and the Eldar could enjoy. it could be called Château de Ahriman
I'm picturing Farsight, Eldrad, and Fulgrim sipping on wine and talking about tasting notes while Ahriman just beams in the background with the biggest shit eating grin ever.
oh yeah! that's actually one of the reasons I love Ahriman so much!
1:58 TTS Magnus the Red: "Oh wow Ullanor. It seems that Orks spores weren't properly disposed of. It really proves that the Ork genome can survive through anything even toxic emissions from atrocious family reunions that not even Vulkan can regenerate from those!"
"Hmmm... you gravely underestimate Vulkan, my good sire."
Small adjustments: Since Perty, Vulkan, and Ferrus would be best buds. I figured that their relationship develops fast enough that they develop the technology to remove Angron's Butcher's Nails and free him from his suffering. As he is set free from his accursed condition, his rage slowly but surely fades. Wrath replaced by remorse, brutality replaced a soothing calm nature, and finally fulfilling his destiny as the one to rehabilitate Fulgrim from his madness.
Angron: Brother, that lust, those extreme emotions you feel, are they not poison to you?
Fulgrim, unable to answer properly looks around the Golden Halls of the Palace of the Emperor, sweating and fidgeting.
Angron notices Fulgrim's mannerisms, and recalls his past fits of rage.
Fulgrim then asks: Brother, how did you ever recover from what happened to you? What happened to all of the slaves you fought beside? To all of your sons having those abominable nails forced upon their heads?
Agron then answers: I haven't, and I never will. But now that I am free from the Butcher's Nails, I can help others be free from the sadness and rage they feel...
And I can help you, that is most important to me now. We couldn't save Lorgar from himself and Chaos, but I can bring you towards the warmth that is Humanity's light against the darkness of Chaos.
Fulgrim, in tears. As the Angron he knew, would never utter such sincere and kind words before.
Fulgrim: I.... Brother, can I truly be saved? Can I truly be free? Am I worthy to be free?
Angron: We are brothers, we are family, we are free. It's just up for you to decide when you take flight again, Phoenecian and Lord of the Emperor's Children.
Fulgrim at a loss of words again, hugs Angron tightly. Angron, hugs Fulgrim back patting his back and kissing Fulgrim's forehead.
Angron: It will take a long time for you to heal, let alone be free. But I will be here, now let us meet Father. He told us there was a disturbance somewhere in the farthest regions of the Galaxy, oddly enough. A world was completely deprived of its natural life...
Angron and Fulgrim walk inside the Golden Halls of the Imperial Palace, as the Phoenecian and as the newly appointed Emperor's Compassion...
Also the other change would be that because the Orks have been driven to near extinction, they would get a sudden burst of technological advancements and evolve rapidly in a couple hundred years. Becoming Demi-Krorks, adding fuel to the Necrons deciding the Imperium as a designated enemy of all Necrons. The Eldar's magical prowess being far more powerful now that Slaneesh is deprived of any source of "nutrition". The Tau would catch up to Necron and Imperium technology alike, some Xeno races inside of the Tau Empire begin to slowly adapt to more robust features as an incoming war that would dwarf the galaxy as a whole was approaching, Chaos decides to have a truce, something that would never happen. But now that they are desperate for power, band under a single banner under Chaos. The Emperor, would nowhere near be as powerful as he is in the current lore. Seek out powerful Psykers such as Eldrad to aid him in the quest of power not for himself, but for the Imperium at large. With the Emperor, Malcador, Magnus, Eldrad, and more powerful Psykers reaching to a singular conclusion. The Emperor's ascension to Godhood, but of the Material Realm and Immaterium. It would take them thousands of years to even achieve a fraction of canon Big E's power, but it woud be necessary. For soon, Mars would face the greatest Ctan to ever exist. The Void Dragon rapidly advances the technological prowess of Mars, feeding off of its technology, knowledge, and faith. Only the most powerful of Psykers would notice the sudden surge of rumbles inside Mars being the Void Dragon freeing itself from the shackles of Mars and the Emperor. But it is too late, the Void Dragon was now at the core of Mars. Absorbing its energy and momentarily stops Mars rotation. At the moment, the Emperor orders the evacuation of Mars. He and other psykers make a portal directly inside the Human Webway for the Adeptus Mechanicus, then BANG! Mars explodes in a violent and disastrous way that parts of it enters the Webway, killing many Adeptus Mechanicus members and civilians alike. But that was not the worst of it, for the Void Dragon is free. With a loud roar, it awakens all slumbering Ctan shards and wandering Ctans in the Galaxy. The Silent King, quickly moves as he fears the worst would come for his people, the rage of the Ctan. All TombWorlds light up in a jade green glow, awakening all soldiers of war that they needed, but it was not enough. He had to unite the still egotistical Necrons, finding it difficult but would soon succeed. After thousands of years, it has begun. The Necron Empire has resurfaced, the Tau Empire advances in its technology and military power, the Eldar lead by Eldrad and Yvraine the Visarch of Ynnead, the Orks now Demi-Krorks marches towards Terra and Eldar MaidenWorlds, Chaos planning to breach the Human Webway and the Eldar Webway, the Ctan's revenge in motion, and now the appearance of Tyrannid forces. Welcome to the 41st Millenium, welcome to the War for Heaven and Hell. For in the grim darkness of the 41st Millenium, there can only be and only will ever be... *War*
For those who want to ask why I called the Void Dragon the "greatest of the Ctan" is not because it is the most powerful, more like in a technological and metaphorical way it is. Well to the Adeptus Mechanicus it is (literally the God they believe in)
I LOVE rhis

@@gumball6445 Is that guardsman perhaps some HERO OF THE IMPERIUM?
I love the idea of Tau and the imperium as Tau tech could help replace things lost in the age of strife and humanity could let Tau use the webway. Mabey access to the wider galaxy could inspire the Tau to overthrow the ethereals
I think the Imperium would have to change their culture first. They would have to purge themselves of whatever caused the hatred they have for the Xenos from the Age of Strife.
Finally someone agrees with me
To be honest The Emperor or one of the primarchs would overthrow the ethereals, when they uncover their shenanigans, probably Corvus or Alpharius to put them down quietly
If the imperium never had the heresy. The imperium would most likely have better tech. Then the Tau and it is the Tau who would need the reverse engineer the imperium's tech.
The Tau is the normal setting is a recent discovery and the imperium had already shat their pants when they meet. If the imperium never fallen the admech would probably found and recover a lot more STC before meeting the Tau and the technological regression would never happened
@@amirhaikal6672 The Emperor probably would have done away with the overly religious Admech and replaced it with something actually decent by that point. Or possibly kept them around but influenced them over time to promote people like Cawl who are actually willing to innovate.
Idea : how did the primarchs view the xenos, did they hate them or respect them?
Yes that's a good video idea mate
Fulgrim once buried an entire alien species with honors because they were excellent warrior's.
I would really like some speculation upon what happened during the Age of Strife to cause such animosity of alien races. My best guess is that someone betrayed humanity to Warhammer's men of Iron?
@@Grabthar191 The thing I've noticed about the 40k universe is that the majority of Xenos species are simply, and brutally, _incompatible_ with humanity and the Imperium, and this fact has fed the human xenophobic machine to the point of causing them to justifiably lash out at all Xenos species near-equally, even those who could indeed live peacefully alongside humans. Whether it's due to their biological functions alone posing severe issue toward humans (Hrud), or because they're all bloody monsters who literally exist to cause slaughter and carnage and suffering toward any sapient entity that isn't themselves (Tyranids, Orks, Rak'gol, Q'Orl), or have simply been corrupted to a severe extent by Chaos before encountering humanity (Slaugth, Laer, Enslavers), these alien species have well and truly rent quite the scar in humanity's collective psyche.
And yes, there are some species that could more than feasibly live alongside humanity as equals or vassals without issue, such as Eldar and Tau, but again, the threat the overwhelming majority of other alien races really dulled humanity's need to make friends with all assorted non-humans by 40k's present. The reason the Tau Empire, by comparison, has so many dependable and stable Xenos auxiliaries living alongside them is, like lots of factors regarding their rise to power and basic existence, due to sheer dumb luck.
@@DT-267K A lot of that is accurate, but I thought someone had said somewhere that there was some kind of incident during the "rise of the machines" that put humanity off, just like it put them off of AI.
I actually prefer this over official one. Tau-Eldar-Imperium vs United Necrons sounds way more epic than everyone killing other shitshow in galaxy atm. Also Chaos gods putting their force on a single banner might cause some batshit crazy war aswell. Top of that tyranids coming in picture it would be a glorious 4 way war. I would not be sad for Orks, they would go with bang fighting against greatest force in the galaxy. But it could be really interesting if their regression will be cured somehow.
Great video as always Majorkill
Based on what's previously happened to the Orks in big battles like the War of the Beast or Octarius War, I can think of only 2 ways that their "regression can be cured":
1. They keep fighting, and keep winning, until enough of them are big and smart enough to be considered Krorks. Remember that the Beast could go toe to toe with Vulkan and still wasn't considered a Krork yet so maybe there's nothing strong enough in the galaxy anymore to push them there
2. Basically 1, but Trazyn releases his frozen Krork. The released krork might "direct" the waagh field in a way that helps the other orks properly grow into a krork
The ork are unkillable
They’d just hop on some warships and Mork would send them to another galaxy
I think the main issue here (and thisnis coming from a tau fan) is that potentially the Eldar and certainly the tau just would not have the numbers to actually contribute much to that war. It would be basocally just the imperium and a couple of brush skirmishes for the other 2 factions. Unless off course the imperium helped liberate the maidenworlds and found a way to take out slanesh permamantly to let the eldar repopulate to significany numbers again. For the tau either the imperium would have to let them use the webway to expand and bring their numbers up or allow the tau basically a small portion if the galaxy to bring their number up.
@@carlzerris6566 The weird thing about the Eldar right now in lore....it is inconsistent about how "on the back foot" they truly are in the galaxy.
Yeah but there’s no chapters
People may argue that the Emperor killing his sons would be more grimdark and therefore more fitting. But I feel that the loss of what could have been makes the current setting even more tragic
Anyone who says that has to legitimately be stupid. A: not everything has to be/remain grimdark. B: as majorkill said most if not all of the primarchs and their legions would go against the emperor if he tried purging them. C: even if the emperor succeeded it would be the most grimderp thing ever for the emperor to just destroy a perfectly good army, especially considering in this setting the necrons are still a major threat, at any moment the tyranids could still show up, the orcs could become a threat again, and chaos is constantly scheming. Sure the space marines don’t have much to do in this setting but it’s better to be a soldier in a farm than a farmer in a war.
@@TheMachine3165 Not to mention the emperor couldn’t bring himself to kill traitor horus because he loved him until he realized he was far too gone.
@@TheMachine3165 A has to be the most important bit. If everything is grim, depressing, disgusting, whatever, you only end up with the creative works of edgy teenagers since it gets superstale. Now if you give just the right amount of hope, you can get people invested.
The Emperor killing his sons wouldn't be more grimdark, but outright creatively so lazy to the point of utter grimderpiness.
@@TheMachine3165
Exactly. And even without these threats, the Emperor wouldn't disband their armed forces. He isn't that stupid.
I also heard from somewhere that the Custodes were the preview of what the Emperor wanted humanity to become one day, so imagine the entirety of the Imperium’s population becoming as powerful as a baseline Custodes
If the custodes had the numbers of the imperial guard, there would be no such thing as war.

@@mogumo8955 well, still a little, you can't use the webway for everything, even Majorkill talks about the fact that interstellar travels will still be needed in some uses
hugs gold
@@kira68200 astronomicon and golden throne arent necessarily linked, to my knowledge it could be and was powered remotely by the Emperor (although it probably didnt shine as bright) the golden throne was more important to keep the webway closed (thats why malcador had to sacrifice himself to prevent the palace from getting anally penetrated by a daemonic horde) so magnus could just fuck about with his pops looking for warp knowledge and only needing to sit on the glorified toilet seat to prevent eldar raids and shit.
This is over a year late and idk if you either already know the answer, or no longer care, but for anyone wondering from OP's comment, Vulkan as the "door guardian" is moreso talking about Vulkan's role during the Siege of Terra. After the Imperium's defeat during the War in the Webway, Vulkan, having fought his way across the galaxy and webway, was found on Terra and guided by the Emperor to install the Talisman of Seven Hammers into the Golden Throne to act as a Deadmans Switch if the Emperor were to die. The whole Vulkan serving as a guardian is talking about how after the Talisman was installed, and Terra's defenders were on their last legs, Vulkan took up his hammer, Urdrakule, at the entrance to the Webway portal in preparation in the scenario that the portal would open and a literal infinite wave or daemons and chaos space marines were to flood the palace, in an effort to prevent them from reaching the Golden Throne. Vulkan was essentially serving as a direct mirror to Sanguinius. Vulkan to the Webway portal as Sanguinius was to the Eternity Gate.
Theoretical: Angron wouldn't die to the nails because the Eldar wouldn't see a future with the Horus Heresy, thus wouldn't self-fulfil the prophecy that leads him to become who he did
Practical: Eldar are dicks and get their visions jank all the time and follow them blindly, so would've probably left Angron defenseless to the slavers anyways
There may be a possibility that Angron would have effectively fought off the Nucerians because he wouldn’t be in a weakened state after fighting the Eldar squad earlier.

Kharn vs Lucius

Answer: Custodes, Kharn. A squad of Grey Knights could keep up with a single Custodes when killing Daemons, the Grey Knights specialty. Man when I started to think about this I completely forgot about the necrons like they would be a real menace to a unified galaxy at least until the bugs of dead arrive and everyone is focus on that
The question is if the Emperor of Man would be willing to meet with the Silent King for an alliance against the Tyranids. Would the Emperor of Man be willing to help the Necrons find their humanity again with the help of the Mechanicus?
hmmmmm by the time wouldnt man be sufficently advanced enough in tech to surpass necron maybe not in numbered tech like diversity and artifacts though since i heard that someone said dark age of tech maybe surpass nexcron tech
unified necrons allied with unified imperium/eldar/tau against the tyranids arriving in swarms would be the most badass thing ever.

I imagine ahriman working with some of the space wolves to make line of alcoholic beverages for space marines and eventually opening a bar, that would be wholesome and hilarious to see a bar run by space marines.
Serving alcohol with psychic powers
I genuinely think the emperor would have purged the mechanicum of Mars because it's stated somewhere in the lore of leviathan dreadnoughts that the emperor was making his own terran tech to maybe overthrow their religion of machine God
I think this is a good setup for a Lorgar Heresy fanfic where the Word Bearers serve Chaos in secret for much longer, planting cults on nearly every Imperial world. So a fuckhuge war still happens but rather than conventional set piece battles and "good guys vs. bad guys" you have the Imperium turning on itself and characters fighting each other due to lack of trust and paranoia
hmmmmm that or every primarch known would turn good and unkown very secret secret secret secret factors appears and plot a big end game like secret secret secret secret secret society type very scheming plan by secret bois maybe steal some info and tech very very huge huge while man advance then reveal slowly then huge commotion conlifct benefitz e adapt become more moremore and more secret rinse and repeat and you have shadow hand mastermind
The Emperor would more than likely maintain the Astartes at some basic garrison level. The galaxay may end up pacified and united, with peace and prosperity, but the Tyranids just show that there are potential external threats to be found no matter what. Plus, you would need to keep the process of converting humans into Astartes going so it's known how hard the process is, how much of a sacrifice it is, and what an honor it is. Otherwise once the horrors of the process become known again if you have to restart their production when a new intergalactic threat shows itself it would destroy moral. You would need to maintain that warrior culture to draw upon when needed.
There will always be the orcs, or rebellions, and Chaos was still a present issue albeit weakened. The imperial guard and astartes could likely be heavily reduced in number but would still be needed
alarmed kalm but not overly paranoid
Personally I would love to see all these events unfold in a couple of shortstories as an alternate timeline kind of deal.
Would be nice to see a non-grimmdark version of the imperium and primarchs that could have been.
honestly i think its better then current 40k. a moderately OK galaxy that is renewing itself and learning from past mistakes slowly but surely, unifying to fight the existential threat that is the necrons if they were even partially unified, with maybe the tyranids showing up somewhere to make things more complicated. still dark, still filled with some horrors, but not over the top shitfest like current 40k, and allows for some amount of progress and hope. i think its a nice thought.
@@sovietunion7643 The point whit too much grimmdark is that is takes off what we can relate at most times. I don't know why is not a thing to have an alternative universe where things looks like in this video. You can see by the comments that everyone craves for it
I believe it is canon that Sanguinius was SUPPOSED to take the roll of Emperor of the galaxy and Corvus Corax was to be the law enforcer and Magnus is supposed to sit on the Golden Throne

The lost Primarchs would find each other and hug they look up from a planet and see a party space ship with all their brothers and a huge banner that reads welcome home
We get so few scenes with all (or even just more than like 3-4) primarchs/Emperor together. I would love to have even just a one off short story of a false prophecy or something that shows all the primarchs being found and Guilleman convinces the Emperor to get them all together in Ultramar at guilleman's big dining table he has ready for all of them.
2:59 "hey Perty you literally understand how everything works, so can you help us take apart and repurpose Angron's nails into a functioning brain?"
5:37 Rogal Dorn and Perturabo when they make construction projects together and are good at it: "MOOD KINDRED!"
I want to hear your thoughts on what would have happened if Horus won? Like in your previous video, you talk about what the traitor legion and Horus should have done. Part 2 that, and if they did, what happens next?
Also, who is the most underrated traitor primarch? I think it is a toss up between Pertie and Lorgar.
And also, I really want Konrad to still be alive
I think Perturabo gets a lot of credit for really holding shit together. Honestly, I think the alpha legion, and specifically Omegon, don't get enough credit. They may be a big meme with the I am alpharius gimmick, and them being both traitor and loyalist. Omegon and the Alpha Legion infiltrated the Raven Guard and ruined the raptors, The Emperor specifically gave that to Corux and let him build his legion incredibly quickly and better, the Raptors were ready to go in a couple months and were better than other, more experienced space marines in the sparring cages. The Alpha legion poisoned that gene, turning the newer raptors into mutants basically and then stole it for the traitors (mostly Fabius) to use. That alone could've won the war for the loyalists if Corvus gets a couple years of pumping out perfect raptors or even lets other loyalist legions in on it.
Konrad is another that is pretty underrated. He was one of the most effective at achieving compliance quickly and effectively, though super brutal in methods. Plus he killed Vulkan a bunch, fought the Lion and damn near killed him once. Nearly killed Dorn. He straight-up saved Lorgar at Istvan when Corax was going for the death blow. Plus his fuckery on the invincible reason and across imperium secondus evading three other primarchs, two of them being some of the best warriors. Plus he held off the Lion and Guilleman at the same time and almost killed both. Albeit he used treachery and dirty fighting to win basically every time, but he still was really effective at what he did. If he wasn't batshit crazy and yoloed into the Invincible reason the night lords could've done a lot more damage.
@@tonyriemenschneider8745 …..ok, so I always liked Konrad but I didn’t know all this. Damn, now I really like Konrad, GW needs to bring him back. Chaos need to be a more credible threat.
Also, Lorgar needs more love in my opinion. But yeah, thank you for this info. I’m a loyalist through and through but if I had to pick a traitor primarch……..I think you might have swayed me to Konrad and the NL.
I think all in all, I’m Alpha Legion kinda of person. But Konrad and the NL are very intriguing.
Also, Fulgrim!
Missed opportunity to edit a righteous mullet onto horus every time he’s on screen
I love the post Great crusade role
I don't think the Xenos would be so friendly with the Imperium unless the Emperor made efforts to change the culture. I also don't think that we can completely rule out the Tyranids since the Silent King came back to the Milky Way to defend against them. I do think you would see a far more ordered galaxy, without the religious cult. I think that Chaos isn't going to just give up though. I think they would turn more attention to interfering in the Imperium. Maybe inspiring a different kind of civil war. A lot of the Primarchs are emotional weirdos and easily led to anger and jumping to conclusions. Although I don't think such an insurrection would last very long or put the Galaxy into flames like the Heresy did.
i mean the tau would. the tau will make treaties with anything that doesn't try to kill them basically so the imperium being less crazy and kill on sight for anything less human leaves the door open for a better time for everyone.
Horus would probably be the one to die instead of the Emperor, and the Emperor would spend the next 10K years moping about his death.
If this happens i guess orks gods would stop fighting against each other and power-up orks to krork level because there are stronger enemies now.
"Vulcan would be the master of hugs" Yea, Yea, he would.
I found this alternate timeline far more interesting than most of the alternate Heresies and would love a part two diving deeper into the possiblities of this Imperium. Would the Inquisition and the Grey Knights exist without the Heresy?
Hmmm might be interesting
I just got into 40k lore and your videos are some of my favorite. The jokes and accent make it pretty entertaining 😂
Ah yes, the age-old question is what would happen if you gave horus a HIMS subscription.
instead of Horus, lorgar is bound to get his hand “Bloody”
Ah yes, the Nightknights, infamous eighth brigade of the diefied king's space marines
There still would have been a Heresy in one way or another considering that the Emperor wasn’t able to mend his relationship with many of his sons like Cruze, Angorn, Morty, and Lorgar. Some of his sons were already being affected by Chaos like Fulgrim and Magnus, while Lorgar was practically worshiping them in secret. There was enough family drama within the Imperium that would have started a Civil War, and Horus staying loyal wouldn’t have changed that, though it would have changed the sheer scale of destruction that could have happen.
Maybe
Imagine Horus and Loegar hadnt turned
Eventually they would have discovered the Cadian Pylons
Perterabos ability to understand literally everything would have led to their activation.
Once the Eye of Terror is gone... Konrads insanity for staring at it is gone too.
So the problems wouldnt have gone super crazy without Horus
You have to remember, Horus was thr mpst HUMAN, intelligent, reasonable and political of all the Primarchs by FAR
In the short time he was Warmaster, he did a MUCH better job of handling his brothers than the Emperor did while he was leading the Great Crusade
Horus almost laid down his own life to stop a war with the Interex, because he thought it was the right thing to do... he was almost begging his men to let him stay and try to negotiate while they butchered the Lunar wolves and tried to kill him
He was by far, the greatest of all the Primarchs
It would have been much smaller, and multiple. Lorgar and Mars would have had their own Rebellions eventually. Magnus would have as well. Lorgar would probably be the first, but it would solidify bonds with the remaining Primarchs. Magnus eventually would have had to be erased if he wasn't seated on the Golden Throne before he could rebel.
@@justinlast2lastharder749 Why do you think Magnus would have rebelled?
Even after Prospero was destroyed, he STILL didnt turn to Chaos.
He even went to Terra and talkednwith the Emperor, the only reason he rebelled (Last minute of the Heresy) was because his sons had gone too far into chaotic sorcery and The Emperor demanded he forsake and kill Ahriman and his sons.
So even after hisbworld was burned, his legion destroyedz his body and soul broken.... he STILL was loyal
I csnt see how that translates to "ahe would have turned anyways)
If you had said Angron, Perterabo or Mortarion, i would agree... but Magnus?
If it wasn't Horus it would have been Sanginius
Imagine Chaos Sanginius killing Horus, Russ and Khan as well as EVERY Loyalist Titan!!!
its like majorkill said: no other primarch had the skills, influence or charisma to pull off the heresy. sure rebillions and fights still happen, lorgar was always going to rebel after his put down, fulgrim had his head so far up his ass slaanesh said hello, and magnus being super warp inclined was always going to leave him weak to chaos temptations, but it wouldn't be the gigantic clusterfuck of bad move after bad move that left the imperium in shambles.
With the new Chaos book coming out lets get some lore deep diving into some of the Traitor legions perspective on the heresy or maybe reactions/ interactions with other 40k Factions
I would love to see this as a book series.
I’d like to imagine that Jaghatai would be the host for the Imperium’s Top Gear
Dorn and Pert ending up as real bros is probably the part I like the most, their rivalry (while petty much of the time) is understandable. Despite Perturabo being whiny child through the Crusade it would be good to see him not only getting to do what he loved but finding a kindred soul in Dorn (and probably Sanguinius as well with his penchant for the arts for its own merit [vs Fulgrim’s take])
0:44 I thought the Primarchs would be sent to their big rooms of their designated number at the Imperial Palace after their role in the Great Crusade is over.
Majorkill’s channel has been getting _way_ better lately. The sponsored segments, the Patreon plugs, the jokes, etc are all massively improved from before he started using a camera. It’s kind of wild.
I highly doubt perturabo and dorn would become besties coz of their building talents due to the fact perturabo is petty and he doesn't respond well to competition even the healthy kind . Remember he had a meltdown after his adopted brother in olympia crafted a better statue than his and he threw a huge fit afterwards.
Now, I want to see what would happen if the drop site massacre was thwarted and stopped before it began.
Well, I can only hope that our Hole Horse gets Emperor grade hair transplant so he can have long flowing blonde hair.
Noblebright Imperium with all 20 Primarchs would have been completely insane after 1000 years. Imagine what Ferrus, Perturabo, Dorn and Guilliman could build.
Reminds me of that part in the Waking Dead when Rick imagined what would happen if the zombies stopped existing or if they never happened. I haven’t seen it in afew years ok so my idea on the lore is abit off
You know if they wanted to show Guilliman's isolation better they could have it so that he's shown to be trying to learn to do some of this brothers abilities. Like he's never been super techy so have him try, and probably fail, to understand something built by Vulkan or Dorn. Added benefit you can add marines form other chapters around him with the excuse that they're advisors and gain more representation for less popular chapters. The Iron Hands seem to need all the help they can get.
still cant get over the new camera magic UGHHH its so good
Can you do the Legions’ Flagships or Emperiums Void Ships!
If the big E could possibly revive Ferrus from just his head, I'm sure Angron and the other dead primarchs would be revived
Fabius could create clone bodies of the primarchs, so I’m sure the Emperor could easily revive any of them.
Wait, considering perte basically knows how any form of technology works, why couldn't he have helped with angron?
That's actually a good catch
I'm sure he could have, but that's just one more plot hole in Angron's story.
@@jochannon true, but I just wanna see my boi Angron be alive and happy 😔
6:36 The Man-Emperor of Mankind should have given Konrad a shrink qualified enough to deal with his hot mess.
And that shrink is Alucard.
How would the Dark Angels have fallen if the instigation for Luther's betrayal wasn't there to begin with? Remember that he was being played by Typhus and Erebus, while the Heresy had already started. Luther wouldn't have betrayed Lion and he wouldn't have been sent back to Caliban , so no bad blood would have festered.
The nuke that was brought onto the invincible reason was by a planet's government officials when undergoing compliance. They were all balls deep into chaos and wanted to kill the dark angels for being so anti-religion. Luther considered not telling the Lion about it and letting him die, he admitted it to Zahariel, who then told the Lion. That's what made the Lion send Luther back and basically forget about him. Chaos cults on Caliban as well as the great beasts and caliban's corruption got to Luther through his envy of the Lion and feelings of betrayal over being grounded essentially. I think Luther still would have fallen to Chaos, though if it would've played out with Caliban declaring independence without Horus's rebellion is doubtful. Luther still would have been corrupted almost certainly.
@@tonyriemenschneider8745 Yes, but unless I'm mistaken he had taken a couple of meetings with Erebus and Typhus and received a chaos book. That prompted him going back to the hidden library in Caliban and experimenting with sorcery. Later he used his charisma and the bitterness of the exiled Dark Angels plus the over industrialisation of Caliban to try and secede. But from what I remember basically he got played but those two dorks and his own feeble ego. Unless I'm mixing up the events. But I'm sure they put words in his mind and gave him a book that started his fall.
What if Majorkill was a Primarch 😆
What would have happened if chaos sat their ass? We would have had primarch as roommates
Man it is great to see the incredible improvement in video production and overall better content majorkill is uploading these days compared to his older videos (which are also still good)
This is a very interesting topic.
I have to wonder what would have been the fate of many other characters, from Malcador to various space marines and mortals.
Like, what would Kharn's fate would have been, what about Sigi or if the Grey Knights or the Inquisition would exist.
Yeah. I was surprised that malcador wasn’t mentioned
Appreciate the frequency of uploads mr.cracked Australian 👍🏻

Your pumping out these videos like crazy dude, really appreciate it, keep it up brother
Please do an episode about the outside of the galaxy. I remember that some imperial ship began travel there and the the warp of it is just chaotic energies, no gods
Basically saying my favorite 40k theory is that everything would be ok
Probably humanity would be in the web way, after the few legions that were going to turn regardless were dealt with.
Horus didn't doom humanity. Magnus did. However you'd HOPE the idiot wouldn't do what he did if it wasn't for horus. But who knows, maybe he would have tried space doordash on terra anyway.
Yes and No
If Horus hadnt turned and Magnus had come up with another silly reason to blast down the Emperors defenses...
Then Horus wouldnt have tricked Russ into curb stomping Prospero.
Hence, russ and Valdor would have just brought Magnus to Terra
Emps eould have slapped him and made him sit on the throne while he fixed his fuck ups (After a good scolding)
Magnus sold his eye/soul to Tzeentch early in the Great Crusade
If Horus did not fell then the Chaos Gods corrupt Sanginius
@@christiandauz3742 It was going to happened no matter what.
It was just a question of who.
Small things changed, like it turned out being Fulgrim instead of The Khan.
If it wasnt Horus, it was Sanguinius.
If Angron hadnt gotten the nails, it would have been someone else etc
Everyone lives happily ever after.
The Astartes would act more as a constabulary as a mix of internal SWAT, border guards and spec ops troops.
Re: the Necrons, the Imperium would have regained technology over 10k years to more match them with the side issue of potentially waking them earlier.
Re: the Tyranids, if they got attracted or even in the current lore, IMO it will be found that the later waves are vastly weakened as they are engaged in a civil war for the only resources available. Each other. There is plenty of evidence that the supreme Tyranid Hive Overmind is semi mythical since Hive fleets show hostility to each other on sight.
Here's another 'what if' suggestion. What if the Emperor died in the way Guilliman predicted during the Heresy. Would the Imperium Secundus Project have been successful? 🤔
No. Chaos wins, devours our Universe then invades and consume the Multiverse
@tgst 1
Chaos always wins just like in Fantasy
If you had an option of having a singular device to enter canon of Warhammer 40K universe, what would be this device be and how it would work?
Also idea for a video, what if Angron and Roboute Guilliman had their planets where they landed upon switched?
Non chaos aligned warp entities and magic would be a cool video.
Another great video. Where did u get that night lord pic. Awesome
Aye. If the Horus Heresy didn't happen, then Lorgar, Angron and maybe Fulgrim and Mortarion would still be on the chopping block due to their exposure to chaos, resentment to the Emperor, or because they were to ill to keep going like Angron was.
Fulgrim let his ignorance get him in bed with that demon sword, but he didn't really go deep into chaos without Horus and the heresy getting him there fully. Angron and Mortarion might be mopey and angry, but Mortarion fucking hated the warp and all things chaos. One of his captains fucked him and the legion into accepting Nurgle or dying, that probably doesn't happen without the heresy. Lorgar said Angron was going to be dead within a very short period of time when he was doing the whole plan to turn him into a demon prince. So I don't think Angron lives long enough to be an issue or get punished even.
Now I wanna see what would happen if the Big E never formed the imperium
That Lucius pattern lasgun is suffering from ED
The new background looks amazing Majorkill!
Your upload schedule has been amazing lately, and I also had an idea. The tyranids came because of the faris device, which was a super powerful beacon. Does this mean Tyranids are less old than Necrons? Because they didn’t notice “the war in heaven”
its likely lorgar may start up an actual haresy maybe do something to angron before he dies turnin him into a daemon in secret. Also remember that lorgar was building the fuck up in a peacful imperuim its likely that he would simply continue to do that but even more and use chaos to hide most of it. Lorgar is a much larger threat then you think. Considering he would likely cause fulgrim to fully fall before the emps would notice and he could likely take advantage of morties hate for psykers to have him also be allied. With enough time to build up in secret they would actually be a real threat its the alpha legion and the raven gaurd thats a threat to this. If they find out its game over if they dont its actually a pretty good chance that they do some crazy shit and break the webway project
This seems like a pretty good concept for a what if story in 40k. I don't expect the main timeline to change at all but it would be a kick to get a glimpse of some of the dead/corrupt primarchs and how they would respond to modern issues.
Great take on this!
I've said it before, and I'll say it again: characters who could, in a lore friendly way, kill Abaddon and bring an opportunity for a new Warmaster. Just having Bobby G kill him would be too easy, let's face it, but someone has to do it if we're ever to see Warmaster Huron
I'll throw one out right now: Castellan Garran Crowe of the Grey Knights. Not only do the Grey Knights have the Emperor's own gene seed, making this almost a second generation duel between Horus and the Emperor, but both men carry daemon swords, making the fight that much more close.
I wonder how the Imperium and Chaos would react if a Xenos champion killed Abaddon instead, like Farsight, Yvraine or Ghazghkull Mag Uruk Thraka?
@@Jack-0-lantern believe it or not, when my friend and I talked about this idea, Ghazghkull was his main contribution for that very reason
Crowe couldn't even beat Skulltaker!
@@christiandauz3742 and Abaddon couldn't beat Eldrad, what's your point?

art like this always makes me giggle. if she is a psysker active in the astra militarum that means she has been soul bound to the golden throne. I'm a massive fan of the Night Lords myself, and I'm not ashamed to say I jumped at the chance to buy that model. Keep up the amazing work on your videos
I know it’s very complicated but is it possible to get a video on individual space marine capabilities?
The new format is seperb, my dude. I didn't like the change from the first one, to be honest, but this is a step in great direction! Love ya vids, miss timmy...
Now I want a alternate 40K where this is the story and showing the United galaxy against the necrons
I actually really like the idea of mortarion and the death guard being the force that would fight chaos when ever is showed up just imagine being a cultist and seeing mortarion and the guard slowly coming forward killing any other cultist in there way.
If Horus never betrayed the Man-Emperor of Mankind, then Chaos will go find another Primarch to fall and become the new Arch-Traitor in his place.
For example:
1. Roboute Guilliman - Roboutian Heresy
2. Rogal Dorn - Dornian Heresy
3. Magnus the Red - Cyclopean Heresy
4. Sanguinius - Sanguinary Heresy
5. Lion E'l Jonson - Lionel Heresy
6. Fulgrim - Death of Unity: Fulgrimian Heresy
7. Vulkan - Volcanic Heresy
8. Lorgar - Lorgar's Discovery, Lorgar's Betrayal
the lorgargument
If everything to the lead up of the Great Heresy were the same except for what befell Horus, I'd say Lorgar, Fulgrim, and Angron are the prime candidates for still betraying the Emperor. Possibly Magnus, Mortarion, and Alpharius would join as well although less likely without Horus manipulating events.
Lmao u forgot angron, oh wait
