    good way to create friendly competition in time trials on picking, plus its a good way to have fun with each other on doing time trials on lock picking. only thing i could tell to be the kicker is not only how experienced the picker is with the lock, but key bitting and tolerances.
    one thing that i thought about is that maybe having a set of degrees for each lock. the amount of degrees are set to the amount of pins the lock has which varies due to the number of pin you actually have to pick ( say a lock has 10 pins to be picked but due to tolerances and bitting you have to pick 3 or maybe 8 of the pins that give it a 3 or 8 degree variant of a possible 10 degree variant ). quit honestly i dont think i will ever be that good to reach some of those times, but i could se another event spin off from this as competition with a trophy it is quite an interesting video as well as a great concept to help challenge in friendly competition in time trials. another great and informative video sir, stay safe and stay well.

      Thanks for sharing. Another cool thing down the pipeline for them (I don't think I mentioned) is the revival of the challenge lock exchange tracking

    Curious how they are going to reconcile different locks on that speed site. Ironically, the example you happened to choose is problematic. The 410 has shipped with two different keyways; one wide open, one not so wide open. One guess which keyway he had. Also, it looked like he only picked 2 of the 6 pins on that so not sure how that thing was bitted. I know you’ve got nothing to do with that guy’s video! I just think it was funny to pick that one. I’d challenge that guy to come pick my 410 in under three seconds. I get it. It’s just for fun. Just saying that any time someone tries to do something like that, the hyper-competitive guys have to get in there and it just ratchets down the fun for the rest of us. Reminds me of one of the reasons Bosnianbill stopped accepting challenge locks.

    I have no idea how you can pick a 410 that quickly and it be legit. Not saying anyone cheated, I just don't see how that's possible.

    • @HelpfulLockPicker
      @HelpfulLockPicker  Před 3 lety

      It seems like it had some long keypins so several of the pins in the back probably didn't really need to be set all that much.
      I still stand by there should be a certified lock which is sent out for time trials

      @@PeaceweaponPT Still... it has to be a really poor lock to pick it so fast. Terrible bitting, badly placed security pins Bla Bla Bla.
      I am not dating it wasn't a genuine pick, rather a VERY poor lock.
