Today we are going to check out a new product developed by Deviant Ollam the “Lishi Standoff Spacer.” These spacers are designed to make it so you can easily use a 6 pin Lishi on a 5 pin lock (for example SC4 on SC1).
Historically, I have never been able to recommend that you only buy the 6 pin version because it was just not as reliable. Today we will find out of that recommendation changes!
If you would like to 3D print your own Lishi Standoff Spacer you can find it here: github.com/deviantollam/Lishi...

Great video, as always! I've been using the kwikset 6pin Lishi tool on 5 pin locks with no problem and same with the schlage 6 pin on 5 pins, without any spacer because I didn't know there was one! Nevertheless, it seems like I've been successful opening 5 and 6 pin locks, almost every time! The American lock Lishi tool I'm not having great luck with but, I still can't pick American locks either! I'm hoping once I feel the tolerances while picking, I'll have much more success with the Lishi am tool! Any suggestions appreciated!

With the spacer, you don’t pick #1 pin, but you pick 2-6 pins. Without a spacer, you basically do same, except you don’t pick pin 6, but you pick 1-5.

Love your videos. Just so I'm clear, Kw 4 will do 6 pin, Kw4 with spacer will do 5 pin,Kw 1 will decode (but not pick) Kwikset Smartkey but Kw 5 will not, Sc 20 will do all Schlage keyways and MC 2/3 will pick Master padlocks but is not the best. It will decode an open one though. So would a KW4,KW1 with spacer,SC2 and Mc2/3 be a good mix? Thanks..Peter

With the spacer, you don’t pick #1 pin, but you pick 2-6 pins. Without a spacer, you basically do same, except you don’t pick pin 6, but you pick 1-5.
Don’t need spacer and don’t need to back out the tool either. Check this video out by BosnianBill that shows and explains it better.

Hi there, I wonder if you can help me. I work for a company that has hundreds of DAF lorries. So I brought a Lishi pick for the DAF lorry. The problem is all the lorry keys have teeth on both sides, whereas the Lishi pick looks like it is for keys with teeth on one side. We have lorries from all different years and all the keys are one-sided! Could you help me with this?

Lishi only opens the type of keyway which the tool is made for.

You can relatively easy do this without a spacer, but it's a lot easier with a spacer, and will speed time up

I use a 6pin without a spacer and it works just fine. I do not use any spacer at all. It is not neccessary!

@@HelpfulLockPicker Im more worried about more stress on the pick since you are not using the proper shoulder that is supposed to take all the stress of tension.
