    In this video I go over the specifications of my 2019 CSC SG250 Motorcycle and go on a ride for a full review. It has been a while since I could ride so I am very excited to share this motovlog with you all!
    This motorcycle is a great lower cost beginner bike for new riders and riders trying to learn the basics. The motorcycle has a top speed of about 70mph so it is also a great option for local and city commuting. This is the first motorcycle I owned so it holds a special place in my heart. I would never sell this bike! Any questions please comment below!!

    after riding 1000cc bikes for like 17 years, i want this bike.

    Thanks for the video... I am a complete novice to motorcycles, and have been looking at this one for a bit. Considering purchasing sometime middle of next year. My issue is... I'm 6'4" and weigh about 190. Would I look like an idiot riding a kids bike if I bought this? I'm not a big speed guy, so 70-75 MPH top speed is more than sufficient for my needs.
    I'm really only looking for a light commuter in-city (no highway) but, once I get comfortable, it would be nice to take long road trips, or take it on the highway to the airport about 90 minutes north. I fly a lot, and gas/airport parking is stupid expensive. Is this bike a good fit with all this criteria in mind, you think..?
    It would be nice if this bike could reliably handle considerable interstate travel, since I would like to delve into that eventually. The buzziness is a bit of a concern in that respect, as well as seating position although that's less of a concern for me.
    Any input would be much appreciated!

    • @Kamdorian
      @Kamdorian  Před 2 lety +1

      I would say with your height this bike would be too small and uncomfortable for any rides longer than 20 or 30 minutes. The seating position will be very cramped with your knees bent and also pressure on your wrists and shoulders with the low handle bars. I am 5'4" and about 150lbs and I get tired after about 45mins of riding this bike. You should look into the SG400 instead or a Vulcan S 650. The SG400 is a slightly bigger bike and has more power and higher top speed so less buzzines as well however It is more expensive (also get fuel injection, thicker tires, and overall higher quality). The Vulcan 650 has an ergo fit system that allows you to choose the best position for the foot controls, handle bars, and seat so you can get the optimal riding position for your height. It's also much more poweful but very beginner friendly so you can grow into the bike and not get bored of it quickly. The best thing you could do is go to some bike shops and sit on different bikes to see how they feel. Good luck and ride safe!

      The regular maintenance stuff is very easy. They also provide manuals with lots of pictures and even have videos on some of the trickier stuff. Their customer service is also very helpful. But yes must have some mechanical knowledge and the motivation to get your hands dirty and learn something new!

      If a mechanic isn't able to handle this simple engine, I certainly wouldn't trust them to work on anything else.

    What’s the fastest it can go?

    • @Kamdorian
      @Kamdorian  Před 5 měsíci

      Depends on rider weight and road conditions. Max is around 50-60mph and at those speeds it's very buzzy and uncomfortable.

      It's a street legal bike so you need a license to ride it

      You are correct! I don't know why I said drum brake, I think the older model had a drum brake.

    Lifan kpm200 or this bike?

    • @Kamdorian
      @Kamdorian  Před rokem

      I'm not sure but if the kpm200 is 200cc then I would go for the sg250 since it's actually higher than 200cc so you get little more power.

      The carbureted, air-cooled SG250 is 14 HP. The KP200 is a fuel-injected, water cooled engine with 17 HP.
      The CSC/Zongshen engine is a much refined unit based on a 1975 Honda engine. It is the most reliable and easy to service motorcycle engine in current production. Performance improving parts are plentiful as this is the engine in all of those "Chinese enduros". Not all are made by ZS (which you want). If one wants an introduction to maintaining a bike, and hope to improve performance over time, SG250 is the one.
      The Lifan engine is a fully modern design and under many millions of seats in Southeast Asia. Parts are mostly plentiful but you'll be ordering over Ebay from Asia. Similarly simple to maintain and repair, but no "hop up" parts worth mentioning.

    So who works on this bike when it breaks down?

    • @Kamdorian
      @Kamdorian  Před 2 lety +2

      I work on it myself..had no major breakdown issues so far. CSC also provided a very detailed manual with pictures to fix any issue you have and they have CZcams videos on how to do stuff. It's not that complicated of a bike that you would need some special mechanic to fix. Very much diy and I'm sure any bike mechanic would be able to figure out if major fix is needed. CSC customer service is also very responsive and will help you with any step by step fixes.

      Yes you need a motorcycle license. It is a street legal bike and requires license plates, registration, and insurance.

      Yup but I have seen some people get higher and lower top speeds. Depends on rider weight and road conditions as well.
