  • The Cadillac XT6 sports three rows in all its midsize-ness. It rides on the same platform as the GMC Acadia and the Chevrolet Blazer, only this is the luxurious version of those. Does it live up to all that, Micah Muzio? Well, watch here and find out.

      Nah, it’s a $75,000 Acadia. It’s the same size and everything. Traverse is larger (seats 8 max). GM is still “badge engineering” to this day, they’re just more clever at disguising it.

    That poor interior quality especially those unwieldy knee rest area for the front seats is straight from the GMC Acadia Denali, which says alot about how little they spent (Cadillac) on this new vehicle's interior design. For a price which might go as high as 75,000 USD, this kind of fit and finish is simply not acceptable. I would just get the top most trim of Palisade with all the features and options added including AWD and still save a bit than the base model of XT-6 while still having a much better overall vehicle.

    It’s not true “Cadillac Luxury” of old.
    It looks sharp outside, but it’s held back by an uninspired and cheap looking interior. There was a time where Cadillac was the best in luxury.

    As a loyal GM customer, I'm disappointed with the company's overall direction of all brands and it's time for a change. Cadillac with these new nameplates shows a lack of identity. What happened over the years? The Deville nameplate should been a flagship car that competes with S-Class or 7 Series. The interior lacks in every GM model besides the Camaro. Buick should be discontinued, Pontiac would've been more appealing to younger consumers long term, and the new Chevy Blazer is a disgrace to it's history. The only thing they got going for them is the new Corvette, but it sucks the Camaro is being discontinued... again!

    ill pay more attention to this vehicle when its on par with competitors by having a hybrid or PHEV model and or the use of Cadillac’s supercruise just because they only put in the CT6 doesn’t mean people will buy it

    My problem with this vehicle is it is very underwhelming compared to the competition. The Aviator, MDX, GV80 and plenty others have much more to offer at a cheaper price. Although, it is a very nice looking vehicle on the exterior.

    I expected this review to be as bad as the car appraisals that KBB has on classic cars. However, this was thorough and honest! I like that you pointed out the poor craftsmanship. Shame, The commercial made it look so amazing in white with black trim. Guess I won’t be looking at one of these after all!

    Definetly a good SUV. Maybe it still has some issues but keep in mind it is a quite new vehicle that serves the market for just about 8 months. We will see its way within the next 2 years. As a PHEV it would be a very interesting model. Either way I would largely prefer buying this SUV instead of those asian-designed crap vehicles like Kia, Hyundai, Toyota etc...

    I have owned Mercedes GL450's for my last 3 primary cars, and the XT6 is far and away above it in design, features, and comfort ~ and I love having the strong V6 that outsides the Marc V8. I have not observed the interior issues noted, but with the upgraded Analine leather seating, they are far more comfortable than Mercedes as well...and its less $ for more!

    Considering the XT6 is a rebadged, rebadge of a rebadged rebabge, deprecation could work in your favor, not so sure about the 3.6 V6....but if I get one used from a GM dealer, will get extra warranty...

  • @VroomBroom439
    @VroomBroom439 Před 3 lety

    GM really said: let’s make the Enclave and XT6 compete in the same segment. This is what GM does wrong. Cadillac is luxury. They can afford to splurge on their products to make it compete in the luxury segment. Buick now has the resources to compete in the premium segment after years of what Cadillac is going thru now.

    Spending more money on vacation homes,Jets & imported liqueur & caviar doesn't help build quality & attention to detail it seems! Kia & Hyundai is doing things right! Their quality & ergonomics is spot on for a fairly late bloomer!!!

  • @nowjustanother
    @nowjustanother Před 4 lety

    Considering that build quality is one of the frequent criticisms of Tesla, and most people who make them point to legacy OEMs as examples of better attention to detail, GM's efforts are really lacking here. I could *almost* forgive the cheap plastics in a few places (such as the seat releases - I mean, does anybody buy or not based on how the plastic on the seat release feels? Or the handle on the cover for the spare tires? Probably not). But plastic pieces falling off of a center console is inexcusable, as are the seams between roof liners and the covers on the A- and B-pillars.
