I set my roommate up with one of these to upgrade from an ancient flip phone. It "spoke" to me so I just got one to replace my 5yr old Samsung. I love that I still have the freedom of an unlocked phone, and the switch was seamless and nearly instant! (I use tracfone) Your research & testing of all these features is amazing!

My problem is with the cool double tap the power to get shortcuts. I followed your instructions but I only get lunch assistant or the camera, and none. There is no option for shortcuts or anything like that that you show.
Any idea what kind of thing I could have changed on the phone, it's a new one, that would have made this cool feature not work for me?

thats a good question but i dont have my sim in at the moment. I believe all you have to do it go to the contact and add it there in contacts settings but let me play with it.
@@CButler Thank you. I figured it out, You have to go to that contact in text, then tap on the 3 dots and hit details. Then tap notifications, tap advanced, then sound

Some of the changes involves more than what you say and have turn you to stop and then finish the procedure!!!!!! Or go back and forth as you do go a little fast because you have been there before!!! Not all the tricks I like but boy Oh boy a lot of them are great!!! You have great way of presenting them with clarity but a little fast!!!!!!!

I can't wait to listen to all these super features since I already got the phone lol I haven't had a good phone for a really long time, and despite paying 129.00 for the 4/64 GB version, this is BY FAR the best phone I've gotten myself in years. So far I'm extremely impressed, mainly because as I use this 130 dollar phone, I can't help but imagine what the experience is like having a $1k phone, right now lol I can't imagine it feels much different, unless you're doing professional gaming/filming/photography, etc. I just needed a phone 😁
I'm having the same problem with my text sound notifications. I always receive my text messages, but the sound notification is intermittent. It is like there is a limit on how many sound notifications I can get per contact? Seems to happen mainly with my frequent contacts. Thanks.

So, looking at the screen it is hard to see the difference in 720-1080p display.. so that's kinda cool. I make alot of music and screenwriting. So it might okay for those things..
I think that I was able to activate the announcement of a text message by highlighting the triangle icon at the top of the phone where it's notated: Conversations and choosing from the drop down items..
Question: sometimes my text notification sound stops working for one individual, for the rest of the day. Do you know how to fix this?

I cannot figure out why I am not hearing any sound for my incoming messages! I have my volume turned up the whole way and also have individual sound settings set up for different things like notifications, but I still don’t hear anything when I receive a message. Can anyone help?
Great video but I have some quick question!How to silence notifications only and what if when you pull down the screen it doesn't have guest screen icon, how do you then get to it?
you can always activate it by going to settings then display, then lock screen display , then click add users from lock screen.
The Motorola G is a fantastic phone you have to get one it's close to a Samsung and most the upgrade phones I have one so I know it's a great phone I'm loving it it's better than most of the phones they get I'm so happy they upgraded some of their phones is terrible I have noticed other people talked about it but I haven't had that problem yet there are really great programs you have to try it save on a lot of bills🤩🥰🤑
Don't see Power Touch option. Is it only on the 2021 phones? I have the 2020.
First thing I did was change the gestures to the 3 button layout. ALSO btw, my last phone was some cheaper Motorola I got a few years ago, and the only (MAIN) reason I bought THIS phone, was for that Motorola flashlight shaking feature! That's the COOLEST feature I've seen on a smartphone in a decade, then Amazon said this phone was 48% off 👀 and when I saw that, I hit buy now and got a waterproof case. I've lost too many phones getting randomly caught in the rain on my motorcycle.
For real, "shake for flashlight" was so genius, Motorola been selling phones based on that alone and "shake torch" been selling apps from it too.

I have Moto power 2021. Some things are different. I STILL cannot get my phone to vibrate AND ring. My vibrate setting turns off the ringer! Piece of junk!! ☹️
Great video, how do I get my hotspot or tethering working?
All you do is open Hotspot and setup a password then turn on Hotspot then connect any device through through wifi but enter the password in the other device and it connects automatically

When accessing my photos in the gallery I sporadically get interrupted by games to download, tic-toc etc and sometimes have difficulty stopping this annoyance. Is there a solution?
Before you can add a guest user you have to have that ability turned on in settings! You go so fast that I have to stop and stop and stop to find out what’s going on.

Nah it will make everything like it's out of the box no messages no account access to CZcams account etc.

How did you get the notifications on the lock screen (where the clock is showing before you actually turn on the phone)? I'm not sure how you do that.. I don't have that turned or anything. Help?
And a pretty neat trick is to hold the power button for a second and you can screenshot with a tap. It's neat. Like if you tried this if you have this phone 😊

Something I hated about my last phone (Revvlry+) it was some Motorola clone made my T mobile, it had NO GALLERY. So weird. Gonna check out this Gallery app. Bruh, my phone gonna be exactly like yours by the end of this, sorry for copying you but you simply made the phone 100% better. its the headphones themselves, the wire is damaged, if you try different headphones it will work just fine

Somehow I was having a lot of difficulty; after tapping the screen twice, I was able to get back to the program and remove it. Not what I was looking for.
Voice readouts (TalkBack)
Get your navigation and selections, read out loud to you. To turn on voice readouts (similar to TalkBack), touch Menu > Settings > Accessibility. Touch Accessibility to enable the settings, then touch Voice readouts.
From the home screen, swipe down from the Notification bar with two fingers.
Tap the Settings icon.
Scroll to then tap Accessibility.
To access TalkBack features, tap TalkBack.
Tap the TalkBack switch to toggle on/off.
Tap OK.
How do I get the apps I want on the home screen?
Go to your app trey and long press and icon and drag it into the home screen

Bought my wife the G power cellphone. While watching your tips i heard that ding dong ring about 16 minutes in your video. You said nothing about it. My wife's phone does this. My question is what is it? How does she turn it off?
There is a button called do not disturb at the top notification menu it stops it from happening
