Im here because I have never gotten "great" pics, or video. Video is mediocre, and I think I'm swtiching to Samsung next, but still under $200 or $250 price range. The battery life on this phone is awesome tho - if camera is not your priority.
I just bought the Moto G Power 2021 and I think it takes pics good enough for Facebook. But, trying to figure out how to do a pic GIF. The phone said says I can do it. I just need to figure out how.
I can't wait to get mine. I didn't get ghost tek or whatever but I got a good deal on a waterproof case. I ride a motorcycle and have no car so it's important.
I'm sure a gcam port would make this camera better. It's improved my pics on the Moto g fast. Even low light shots with night sight are pretty decent as long as you can stay still
I know it's been a year, but could you link me to your gcam port? I have one on my moto g power but it crashes in low light settings with flash on or night sight
I have a problem with the video's in bright light,... I can't see people I record, the light is so bright that people get washed out,... Can't figure anything out in settings.
Every single photo you displayed showed that the focus distance of the camera is not good. It had perfect clarity of the basketball, yet just a short depth below it, your shoes were out of focus. I don't think other phones are quite that bad. It seems to be pulling the focus too close.
@@murieltessier485 Unfortunately, I'm not sure. You could try seeing if there is a white balance setting. Else, try clearing app data. Sometimes the manufacturers pushes "updates" that make camera behavior different. :(
My last phone was the Revvlry+ with a 16MP camera, and side by side I gotta say the Revvlry has a way better camera than this 2021 Moto G Power. I love the phone but I'm super disappointed that going from 16-48 MP gave me a downgrade. I wasn't expecting a 3x better camera, just something maybe a little better since Motorola ALSO makes Revvlry. Major fail.
some of the futures look like you don't know that you skipped from them that is so important to knows, better study more about camera setting whatever you show everybody can open setting and watch but important, how is wor what does it do that setting??? at list make a useful tutorial. not useless.
Most likely background app is killing your battery. Or, driving thru mountains, where is "searching" for cell service, but there is none. Switch to Airplane Mode when driving thru Mountains, or very rural areas. I use the phone for lots of you tube, texting, occassional call, and it easily lasts 3 days.
Snnd via FB Messenger, or upload to You Tube, and give the person a link to your YT video. TEXTING a video file will kill the file. Compression wrecks the pixelation, and not fixable.
Tbh it's pretty bad in my opinion I wish it was good but it sucks. I can't get get good macro photos of my jumping spider with it. The Standard camera is better 100%
I just got it as well...I find the selfie camera is pretty bad..makes face way too soft/smooth...looks unrealistic almost like a filter. I got some distortion on the first few seconds of a couple of rear camera videos I took as well. I go the Samsung A12 at the same time and am comparing the cameras on them. A12 selfie camera wins for sure..unsure about rear and videos so far.
I agree. I hate the camera on this phone. And I don't think being a "budget" phone has anything to do with it. I had a Moto E4 Plus (which is even cheaper, has much lower specs, and is way out of date) before getting this one, and that camera takes much more vibrant pictures. The colors on the G Power 2021 are so dull and washed out. No matter how much I adjust the settings, saturation, brightness, etc. the color just never looks right.

It's actually a decent camera for the price. I mess with various devices just for fun and I kind of like the Motorola software.
I used it and it's so pixilated for me I don't understand i did a test and it says the cameras are 9 MP and 8 MP
Can you try the Moro g power with the port of google camera and its api. I would love to see what googles camera software could do for this sensor

after i push the button, it delays 2 seconds to capture the picture, can i change that setting somewhere?

gcam produces very impressive photos on my 2020 G power, it's incredible how much better the photos look.

It says 3 day battery but at end of my day I only got 50 percent left of juice.. what's up with that ...
If you are constantly using it then itll drain quicker, also if you have apps constantly running in the background same thing will happen

I record a video and when I send it to another person it's pixelated... Horrible

SMS heavily compresses video. If you want to send it in original quality, upload the file to google drive from your phone, then share it.

Have you gotten any decent results with the macro setting? I haven't gotten it to work any better than the normal camera mode; is it just a gimmick?

I still can't figure out what the rear lens in the top left position is for.
One is a 2mp depth camera that aids the main 48mp main camera and the 2mp maco camera

@@cwork6306 It's a quad pixel. 4 x 12mpx = 48mpx to make higher resolution 12mpx images.
