  • Motorola has been in the budget lineup for several years now; the first moto G set a benchmark for what entry-level smartphones should be. The Moto G power (2021) is the latest entry-level device Motorola has to offer. Huge thanks to Republic Wireless for providing this unit! All my thought are my honest opinions about the device:)

    I like when CZcamsrs thoroughly review affordable smartphones these days. I feel like it's easy to review the high end phones these days. I understand most CZcamsrs get a lot of views for reviewing the high end phones, but doing these affordable phones help out more people than the high end reviews.

    I feel like a lot of people could actually benefit from a budget device for days when they want their battery to last longer. The chips inside phones anymore are so powerful compared with older ones.

    Yes ,great review. Someone who didn't trash it cause it doesn't have the same specs or better specs then the 2020 . I my self almost bought the 2020 version today but after this one video. The 2021 don't seem to bad of a phone honestly..

      How is the 2021 in terms of reliability as a work phone, email, google searches, government websites, etc. ? I would like it to last as long as possible to be cheap long term (2+ years to cost/average out to less than $100 per year to use).
      I remember the 2020 costing $180 in 2020, now the price is $220 to sold out! While the 2021 is $180 which shows how much of a downgrade it is compared to the 2020. If the 2021 cost $150 that would be it's own value.

      How is the reliably of the 2021? Planning on getting this in case something happens to my phone. Can it do email, google searches, governments websites, etc.? What I'm asking might sound weird but I read reviews of most phones under $150 being annoyingly slow or outright not working. The $200 phones such as the 2020 version seem to work fine for most people doing lower demanding apps.

    This is a great video, I love your drone opening! I have to make a negative statement about the 2021 Moto G Power however...
    The 2020 model is WAY better. Motorola dropped the screen resolution from 1080p to 720p, removed the wide-angle camera, removed the ability to take 4K video and removed the stereo sound. They did all that while keeping the same price. Real dick moves by Motorola that completely ruined the Moto G Power and made it lame. That's right, compared to the 2020 model, the 2021 Moto G Power is downright lame.
    If you want a Moto G Power, checkout the 2020 model because they're still out there and watch some comparison videos. I guarantee that you'll agree that the 2021 is a total DOWNGRADE from the 2020. If the 2020 is still available, get the 2020!

    Good review my friend. I have a Moto Play 6 thats over 3 years old now. It has that 5,000 mah battery thats in the Moto G Power. Thats a huge plus and one of the best things I like about both of these phones. My phone would not still be here after over 3 years without that huge battery I am sure. Getting the job done as you put it is what these phones are all about and I would add without breaking the bank. :). Great review . I am shopping for another Moto at this point.

    • @geforcenow2839
      @geforcenow2839 Před 2 lety

      So could that mean the 2021 can potentially be as reliable as your Play 6? I fear the newer budget phones might lack quality of the old ones since companies cut corners on the things that make a phone reliable. If the 2021 can last enough to be cheap to own long term( 2 + years) that would be great.

    I hate side mounted fingerprint scanners.
    They are a little more difficult to reach when your phone is on the table and, if you use a case which most people do, you end up with an annoying cutout on the side which makes the phone look asymmetrical and opens up another spot for dust to get attracted. Under screen fingerprint scanners are the best in my opinion...
