In germany the Audi A6 is the car when you think business.
A large proportion of A6s are registered to companies here and have a reputation as the company car for well-paid managers, executives and senior staff.
This is due to the fact that companies usually have few cooperations with car dealers and with cars of Volkswagen brands all salary classes and employees with entitlement to a company car can be covered.

I really like the 2.9 TFSI these cars get in the overseas market. In Europe they are unfortunately only sold with a 3.0l TDI engine with a whole 100 less horsepower. The Diesel does not only have less power than the equivalent car in other markets, it literally has 100 less horsepower than the previous European market S6 as well. Even if the Diesel was even remotely able to match the 2.9 TFSI in performance (which it absolutely isn't, it's almost a second slower 0-60), the Diesel still wouldn't be the car to get. You buy an S6 because you care about the performance and the driving experience, which the Diesel just can't deliver. It doesn't feel special in any way despite having S6 badging all over the place, it looks and feels like some boring airport rental car and the Diesel exhaust note doesn't help in any way.

The v6 is definitely the low side of the S6, but I personally think I enjoyed this over the other German offerings in the segment. There’s just something rock solid and easy about an Audi sedan, simple and relaxed. I guess I just don’t look for high performance in a midsized or larger sedan, but I want passing power. The BMW is way too busy on the inside and the Merc just doesn’t feel as premium with its creaking interior trim pieces. I guess as a premium and powerful daily driver this seems to suit the mold for me.

Long time audi driver here, I have a mildly tuned '16 S6 and absolutely feel as though its the best all-rounder I've ever driven. It's a stealth highway missel, proper tires in the Summer and it can manage most twisties without issues and conversely do a fantastic job in the mountains in Winter months. I put a large ski box on top for long road trips and combined with the large trunk can swallow allot of gear comfortably. I've driven several 1000+ mile stints and get out feeling relatively good. Its a 100lb.'s lighter than the S7 counterpart as well. The market is wide open for them so good buys can be had.

I always thought I was a five-door type when it came to cars, thinking greater jack-of-all-trades utility, but between the A7/S7 and the A6/S6 I like the 6 best. It doesn't try to be everything. I think with the advent of SUVs and jacked wagons like the Allroad etc, that naturally excelled better at the actual utility part, I developed a new appreciation for traditional old school sedans that no longer have to "do it all." A friend has an SL, and he actually prides himself that he can't take an extra passenger when is sometimes asked.... it says you're wealthy enough that you can afford to just say "no"... and have strictly a toy for your own driving pleasure. Perhaps a bit of odd psychology but, you can't do what you can't do! Well, the sedan is sort of that way about stuff! When it comes to apartment moving duty: "Sorry, I can't..." 🙂 I'm not advocating for being a jerk to friends here, you help how you can, but sometimes there is an advantage to not owning a 'moving van' like virtually everybody has now, for everybody to assume...!
That...and it's beautiful. I like it better than the sleek 7.

i like how did you put first your ad for C&B at the very beginning instead of cutting after presenting the car, this way doesn't cut the flow of the video ( i'm still gonna use Sponsor block addon for firefox )

The A6 is so underrated. IMO it has better looks than its competition. Still carry that classy and sober clean design of the early 00’s Audi models. I love the S6. No horrid scoops, vents like some RS models.

Most auto manufacturers use flat-line for the radar sensors which have more limitations compared to dome which is what Audi uses mainly in their line up, with few exceptions. The dome radar sensors just work better and can detect more. In addition, Audi does an incredible job at hiding features that these cars have by not labeling. Once you get to know the car, everything is ergonomically designed you don't need any labels because it becomes muscle memory. It's one of the best features about Audi compared to other auto manufacturers.

Went with bmw m550i for 2023, they knocked $9500 off the sticker price as well,
Few things to keep in my when shopping for s6
U can’t get massaging seats and cooled seats with these sport seats,
Can’t get heated steering wheel with that style wheel,
The luxury package is a $5800 option if u want massage and ventilation seats - annoying
Also u only get B&O 3d sound system and u cannot get there high end one like BMW bowers and wilkons diamond..

Honestly, I miss the breakdown of each category in the Doug Score. It was interesting to see WHY Doug gave each score.

I love the US take on this. Sedans are the standard in Germany, even now when SUVs are popular as well. Most people buy sedans or, when they have a family, a waggon. A6, 5 Series and E-Class are the standard cars of the middle class business man. The Passat Waggon is the Car most bought/ leased by the middle class dad. And I would say, Audi, BMW and Mercedes are on the same level of sales here in germany. No matter if 3 series, A4 or C-Class or the big brothers 5 series, A6 or the E-Class.
It's still the norm here that you want a german Car when you have the money for it. We usually don't buy asian cars and especially not french or american cars.

I'm fine with a smaller screen if it means my air vents work well. I've been in a few newer cars where the air vents are so thin, its impossible to aim them where you want them, and you can barely feel the airflow.

I have but I cringe at how over enthusiastic he’s become. Can’t he just say S6 without really exaggerating it?
